    A pretty crystal and pearl sash. At the center is a vintage design of rhinestone and pearl applique. Organza sash is 1.5" wide and attaches from the back. There is 3 yards long ribbon attach the rhinestone belt, so you can tie a bow in the back. Rhinestone design measures 18" long and 2.25" wide on the two sides .     hello ladies... I have been away from the forum but I check in every few days to read any updates. I am having a catholic ceremony and I have a question for any bride that has had or will have a catholic ceremony. Here in NY its not a requirement to have done your confirmation to be married in the catholic church. I heard from a fellow bride that she was told it was in DR. Can anyone let me know if they were able to have the ceremony without having the done their confirmation? Help please!

    Wow! I have been away for two weeks and I had a lot of reading to do. Carolina I'm glad you finally booked with a TA! I decided to have a TA on hand for my guests but not to do group booking. NegritaDR your stuff looks awesome.. I really want to do passport invitations. Did you have a hard time or was it easy? Did you have to buy a lot of supplies? Did you print them yourself at home? As far as my planning goes I made my own save the date post cards with the help of microsoft word and vistaprint. I ordered about 100 but when it comes time to do invites I will only send them out to people who are serious about going. I plan on mailing out the save the dates the last week of Aug. As far as centerpieces I wanna go with the Ikea Lanterns. I saw a bride in the forum had it and it looked nice. They are pretty cheap ranging from $7-$14 depending on size. I dont think I'll have more than four tables so it works out. I have also been using the vistaprint groupons to get the OOT bags with a personalized logo I made. Is anyone working on wedding websites? For some reason I have had a hard time getting around to finishing mine and I really need to before I send out the save the dates.

    I also going with Portofino. I originally wanted to do a beach reception but it is $20 extra per person. I got a group quote from my TA but I don't think I'm going to take it. We don't want to worry about filling up the rooms or placing all these deposits.

    Carolina13 - my WC is Carolina and when she told me the time I wanted was available, she told me that it is based on the priest availability - first come first served. And also today she told me that cocktail hr and reception have to be in the same location. A more general question: for all those brides that are about a year out and have travel agents or not, have your guest started booking yet? I thought it was too early but many brides seem to already have travel agents and packages.

    msvasq - I actually emailed the reservations dept and they didn't answer my question, I think they misunderstood me because this is what they wrote " Please check in our web site www.dreamsresorts.com I just login and the prices are available for July 2013." I am going to ask again and I will also ask the travel agent. I'll keep u updated. Carolina13 - the original date I wanted was in June but I had to try 3 different dates before I got the time I wanted. It wasn't easy and I ended up getting a date in July. At first they offered me 7pm on one date and then 3 pm on another. One was too late and the other too early but I got Sat July 6 at 6pm which is the time I wanted, about an hour before sunset. If time is a big deal to u as it was to me, u are going to have to keep trying different dates. If the date is a big deal for you then u will prob have to be flex with the time. Good luck and keep me updated.

    Hi everyone! I confirmed my date for July 6, 2013 and now I just have to send the credit card info. There is something that is bothering me and maybe u guys have info on it. I went to the DPC website and tried to see what prices would be like for reservations for July of next year and half of the room categories said they were sold out. Can this be possible? Has anyone already booking for next year encounter this problem? I am also looking for a good travel agent, preferably one that speaks Spanish. Any recommendations?

    Thanks for the tip Sherylh! A symbolic wedding will be my last resort but I'm going to see if I can get a good date and time for a catholic ceremony if not then symbolic it is.
