  1. Thanks for thinking of me, but I got them, they are ordered and I never want to look at or pick bridesmaid dresses again LOL it was the worst, but now that it is done I feel like all the stressful things are out of the way!
  2. I am doing barefoot sandals I actually made some because I too couldnt justify spending that kind of coin... I loved doing it so much that I made all the girls in my bridal party some! I was actually thinking that maybe I would start selling them at half the price of everyone else because I think that they are over priced LOL! I also got white flip flops that I am going to put some bling on for the reception and other places that you need to wear shoes... we are going to the beach so I am going to go with that theme and be barefoot as much as possible!
  3. I really like that bracelete I think that it fits the beach theme to a T... it sort of makes me want something like it LOL. I did get my girls and my mom a starfish necklace so they will have something beachy to wear!
  4. Quote:Originally Posted by kaleighMCL I had the same experience with the Bridal Centre. My MOH and I were shopping for her dress, and weren't aware you needed an appointment for MOH dresses as well. The receptionist acted totally inconvenienced by the fact we were there without an appointment, we explained we were just browsing and she just huffed and pointed us around the corner. After not finding anything worth even booking an appointment for (which we would have done before trying to get her into anything) we went to thank them for letting us walk around, and to ask about booking an appointment for bridal gowns and they ignored us, the two girls up front just kept chatting, so I interjected and thanked them for helping me eliminate a store from my decision making process, and they didn't even get what I was saying. I ended up at Jessica Bridal, I was the only bride in there and spent 3 hours going between the same 4 dresses. My consultant was so patient and they were great - better yet, after we found my dress, my MOH started trying things on and got hers as well. The prices were great, and the service is great. I wasn't looking for the 'experience' of getting the dress, like you see on TLC so Jessica Bridal fit my bill! I have two other friends getting married in the next year and we all wound up at Jessicas Bridal and we all purchased there, I totally agree that it was just what I was looking for, they were awesome, and three weeks later when I went in the buy the dress the ladies all remembered me, also when I went May long to pick up my dress they let me stand there for 45 minutes in the dress without so much as a peep, the only thing that I was upset about is the bag that the dress came in, it is just a long white garbabge bag, when we asked about it coming in a garmet bag they said oh yeah you can buy one, what the hell I just spent a ton of money on this dress and you cant throw in a nice bag! Oh well!!!
  5. I got my girls silver starfish necklaces and I think fun bridesmaid tank tops not sure if I will do more or not!!
  6. I havent really thought about jewellery I got a Tiffany bracelete from my mom for my birthday so msybe that, and hopefully some borrowed pearls Im not 100% sure what about you girls?
  7. Good choice I really like it as well especially with the seashell and twine around the vase!

If I had so much vacation time I totally would go for 2 weeks too! But with only two weeks, I'd rather go to Vegas in the fall to give me another "break" until I get more vacation haha! Yeah it is a little ridiculous thei year, I always got 3 and then they let us "buy" a week, which is just taking the money off our pay cheque and banking it so I had 4 then they changed entitlement for me to 4 weeks so with my purchase it is 5 and then I had the week and 1/2 from 2012 to use... LOL I keep shaking my head becasue I have all this time! lol it is nice for sure
  9. We have never done a 2 week vacation and we pretty much go somewhere every year, so we are both really excited that we will be there for 2 weeks, not to mention the fact that FI only gets 3 weeks holidays, so there have been a few days here and there but we arent taking a "holiday" until the wedding, and last year we went away in May and then a week in BC last summer so it has been a long year thats for sure! On the other hand I have 6 weeks this year, and I carried one over and have 2 1/2 days per quater so I have been taking time here and there, but with 65 people coming it will be nice to sit back and relax once everyone has gone home! 4 month on Thursday!!!!

I was just using pearls in the one flower to see what it would look like. I think that you have captured your theme to a T these are fantastic I love them you did a great job!
  11. We are staying 2 weeks! Im really excited we will spend the week with friends and family and then have a week to enjoy ourselves and be together!

I hvae rethought it and re-looked at photos of table set-ups and it really doesn't look like there is even mcuh space once to put anything once you have people seated on both sides of the table. Soooo I am definitely working on simplifying what I envision. I bought the really cute small candles in dark and light coral at the dollarstore they are pretty awesome! So thats my first decoration purchase lol and I am debating between coral petals or those diamond things (I think they'd work better as the petals might fly away in the wind) but I can't seem to find them in the colour I'd like... oh well I'll keep on checking! Honestly I got mine at the Dollarama in the crafts section, the diamond things and the petals! LOL if nothing but thrifty. Then I was going to get tea lights from Ikea and wrap them in ribbon but FI pointed out that we will be in an open air rest for dinner and they probably wouldnt stay lit, so I have passed on them too!
  13. I know exactly how you feel, and I had to scale back as well, but I figured you know what we are getting married at one of the worlds top 10 beaches what more of a scene do you need and really anything else may take away from that! It took me awhile to get there but you will as well, a few things to compliment like starfish or seashells but do weigh yourself down with tons of stuff, enjoy the beach and water and perfect sunsets!
  14. That is a lot of stuff to take down, but if you are set on it then I would ask the bridal party and parents to split it all up and take it down... maybe also think of leaving it there when you are done... it is really pretty thats for sure!
  15. I am doing the same I got the petals off ebay in my colous and then I bought those "fake" diamonds to put all around the petals, I think it will look good and wont be too heavy to bring down there! I wanted to do sunken orchards or something like that but I dont want to bring down a bunch of stuff they might break!

I know that our resort has one, and apperently from the reviews I have read they are great, there is also a company called Cuban Wedding Photography and Videographer that is really good they have a Facebook Page and there are loads of reviews on line that says they are good!
  17. Quote:Originally Posted by Loreal30 I did the same thing...I sent out invites with the save the dates last November (2012) for my November 2013 wedding. I didn't bother with RSVP's either. I figured whoever wanted to come would contact the agent and then I got a list from her for numbers, I didn't want to stress about RSVP's. We actually have a great turnout, about 45 guests which I am happy with. I am sending out an information package to keep people excited...that will be going out in late August. I did the same, I made a website and asked people to RSVP there but I knew after reading lots here that no one or very few would do it, so I just let the RSVP's come from my travel agent! I am doing the same thing I am making luggage tags, and a pre-travel brochure to send out in August as well, plus final payment is due in september so I think it is also a friendly reminder that thats due as well!
  18. Quote:Originally Posted by MelB2012 I was even longer then that. I send the Save the Dates in November 2012 (fo rmy November 2013 wedding) and then sent the invitations out in early March asking an RSVP of June 15. I've got a good chunk back. But not all. Some family booked with my travel agent and then didn't send the RSBP back. What can you do. *shrugs* I was the same, except I sent out Invites in November 2012, I didnt see the point of save the dates I had all the information and pricing for our trip and our deadline for deposits was January! Which work out because I saved money not doing STD and I have had a tentative guest list since January, final payment is due September 13, 2013.
  19. Tealmarie wow that dress is amazing, I love the lace, it is stunning, and two ways that is so cool too becasue it is like you have two dresses!
  20. Csho, that picture is stunning your FI is going to love it! My Fi got a linen suit on Studiosuits.com it is perfect, he wont let me take his picture in it but I love it! I am in the same psoition I really dont even want to buy a wedding band LOL this is the one thing that I havent done yet, I dont want to spend a fortune on it and also the setting on my engagement ring comes out fromt he band so I need one of those curved bands PS I hate them... LOL I think that I am just going to get a really, really thin wedding band that will hopefully sit under the setting or maybe a little space out from it but like I said this frustrates me to no end, I am going to wind up leaving it so long that I will be stuck with soemthing from Walmart LOL
  21. YAY!!! I know I hated that part the most, waiting and stressing and more waiting!
  22. This looks awesome ... I am sure that he will love, love it !
  23. Still you are almost there! Not long now...
  24. I got mine last week, I was so excited... it fits so I got to take it home, it was really fun and exciting and I am still in love as much as I was when I bought it!
  25. I figured that was probably also the case, but I know that most people don't realize that americans can go to Cuba! And don't worry you have loads of time, some of these ladies are so organized it is scary, I am like you I owrk better under pressure LOL
