Lydia, Don't worry its a good thing, I think most people would love to be that organized and with the size of your group you have to be! Plus I think most of the ladies here would kill for a destination wedding to do list! Great Job.

I think this is an awesome idea! I wanted to do something like this, but once my guest list got more than 30 I dropped a lot of my ideas! Our final payment is done we have 45 people paid in full 39 from Calgary, 6 from Toronto and then I had 4 last minute not with my booking that are coming from Winnipeg, it is pretty exciting I really didn't expect to have so many people coming, and now I am really excited its all paid for and there are is like 53 days left before we go... I am also excited because we are going club class which I have never done before so that is awesome and we started to do some other trip related shopping which is awesome because it isn't wedding related it is for us, some sunscreen and we bought some tanning minutes... it is so close now I cannot believe that we have been planning for well over 10 months YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lydia, wow that is some list... I just had a huge list that I would add to or scratch off as I went! What hotel are you getting married at?? We had Final payment on Friday 39 from Calgary, 6 from Toronto and 4 from Winnipeg! I cannot believe that the time is almost here I am like you I have been planning pretty much since last October!

LOL

I used Transat through Maritime Travel and we paid our deposit in November 2012 and our guests had until January 2013 the only problem that we had was that in June when the flight schedule went public they changed our flights from the 18 of November to the 11... but they told me that booking so early is actually a registration and that it could happen, honestly it worked out better because now we are leaving on a "holiday" (for most people) so people are only having to take 4 work days not 5. Plus we got a rate of $1490 per person so I couldn't complain at all!

I just did a Google search and found some... maybe try that route!

Alley, why not a vest or Jacket for the Groom, I am doing the pants, rolled up shirts and flip flops for our groomsmen and then Troy is going to wear a Jacket, at least for the ceremony and pictures and then after that he can take it off if he'd like... a vest might be better and less hot, but something to consider!

Carina, I am pretty much done, I made To Have and To Hold Money and key card holders and I did them last weekend I printed the tags for the bubbles, and FI crazy glued 50 little starfish charms onto all the bubbles, I just have to figure out how to attach the tags. I have to print the Map for the Guest Book I think that I am going to do a week at a glace kind of timeline for everyone, but not 100% sure I am finished all the barefoot sandals I just have to put them in their bag and figure out how to tag them I STILL NEED A WEDDING BAND but am saving that for the end of September I had 6 more people add from Winnipeg they booked last weekend, so I have to email the resort their booking number as soon as I get it I got my hair accessory finally after searching and searching! I have bridesmaid gifts I just have to wrap them, I think that I will give them at the airport although maybe before. A friend of mines mom is making my garter, so that is in the works I have to pick a shirt for the groomsmen lol I like to leave people wondering right until the end (JK) Then of course there is all the personal grooming that I will need to do before we go and I need to get a hair cut desperately... I am saving that for the end of September so it has a little time to do its thing before the wedding! And then there is a little shopping, but that is on going Packing List for my self... currently everything is sitting in our spare bedroom in piles I don't want to forget anything Wow I think that's it... it is kind of nice to write it all out and see there really isn't much left! I am not doing seating chart or name cards the table will be set up in a banquet U shape, so other than the head table I don't really have a preference on where people are sitting, I figure sit where and with who you want, new friendships I am sure will be made so I don't want to get in the middle of that. Plus that is one more thing that sounds like I may stress over, so you know what you don't like someone don't sit by them... like them sit with them!

Csho, that is awesome I am so glad that he liked it! Well final payment is on the 13th so I guess this is when we get the real guest count lol! I know that there are about 15 people that have already finished paying and I haven't heard of anyone changing their mind but for some reason I am still really nervous about it... it's just like when I was waiting for everyone to make their deposits! Oh well another 10 days of "stress" I still feel like I am doing better than all other Brides (that get married at home) when it come to that! And there are 68 days until we leave 70 days until I am married!

We chose Cuba, because the beaches are beautiful, the people are fantastic we were also in attendance to a wedding here about 5 years ago and it was perfect, they got married on the beach and couldn't have been happier! Also we wanted to get married legally when we were on the beach and not have to do it at home first which most people do if they choose Mexico... Cuba is so easy to get legally married there. Also after reading and re reading this Forum and every ones posts I realized that the prices in Mexico are way more than Cuba and maybe that is because they are way more Professional, although anytime I read a review or see pictures from Brides that have been married at the Iberostar Varadero (on the Facebook page) I can see how beautiful it is! There is another forum on Here http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/83731/2013-2014-iberostar-laguna-azul-cuba-brides/600#post_1945504 which is another hotel in Cuba which seems to be really popular! Do your research read and read make lists and then decide which will be best for you and your FI! And if you have any questions please let me know!

The first thing I did was get on trip advisor... look at all the hotels and then search for reviews about weddings, the Iberostar varadero is ranked the #1 in Varadero right now... there are thousands of reviews on this hotel, there is also a Facebook group that you could join to check it out. Or another thing that you could try is talk to a Travel Agent they are usually familiar with lots of hotels all over the place or maybe they have had clients that have been to certain places, then they could suggest and or tell you where to avoid. Yeah I try to jump on them right away so that they don't give up! Hilarious.... yeah I am not worried about my choice I think that we will be very happy not to mentioned that my FSIL as well as other all have amazing cameras and I am sure that they will capture awesome shots as well so we will probably have more photos then we will know what to do with them!

I will agree with Lydia, there are not to many Cuba brides on the Forum we have one or two that we constantly post on it has turned into Cuba Support LOL I am also getting married in November in Varadero and can hopefully help if you have any questions also!

I am just using the resort photographer, I am part of a group on Facebook for my resort and all the pictures I have seen are awesome. I did go back and forth with this for a long time, but I am fine with this now! What resort are you getting married at? and When?? There are only a few of us Cuba Brides on this site!
