  1. This is fantastic... is that the colour that the blazer is going to be?? It really is awesome!
  2. Wow that is crazy... we had a group package and a final payment date of September 13 so I have had a final guest count since then my aunt and uncle book by them selves but I added them. I say do your best but don't worry about it, they would never not give a bride at home such short notice or they wouldn't be eating!
  3. I am ok... the swelling has finally gone down you should have seen it, and I am able to walk a little better on it, its sore and a little painful and hard to get comfy at times but I am getting there! The doctor didn't want me to wrap or brace it until the swelling was completely gone which I am almost there, but at the same time can almost walk on it so I don't think I will need anything else we shall see, considering I was on crutches a week ago and couldn't put any weight on it, I think that I am doing way better! Happy Gobble Gobble to you too!
  4. Troy did houseboating for his stag, they has so much fun that they are thinking of making it a yearly guys trip! My stagette is next weekend I am pretty excited about it, except that I fell off a horse and severely sprained my ankle so I have to wear runners... LOL this close to the wedding I am not allowed to par take in any extreme sports and apparently with that includes dancing and drinking in heels LOL One month today until we leave. Yes post some pictures I can't wait to see them!
  5. I have taken a deep breath and am good with what I have, minimal decorations... we are in the Caribbean what more of a back drop can you have... I have chair sashes, petals, and bubbles, I have skipped the escort cards (sit where ever you would like) the resort will do flowers down the aisle the ceremony is only about 15 minutes so I am not to concerned about anything else fancy! Your wedding will be prefect no matter what, enjoy the count down and enjoy the holiday one of the biggest reasons you do destination is so the it is stress free!!! (I am still waiting for a melt down, but surprisingly it hast happened maybe I will be good). One month exactly today until we leave!
  6. Kay, I am getting mine done here in the next week and I was just thinking of using maybe a slightly glossy paper and then getting one on those poster thingys where you roll it up then when I am home I will get it framed! I will let you know how it turns out! PS that is so cute your guests will love it!
  7. Oh I actually like the second one... I think that it fits the beach theme! those pictures are awesome it looks like you guys had so much fun! I know I think that I am at 33 days until we depart and 35 until we are married... I am getting really, really excited, I am not sure what I am going to do with all my spare time, once I don't have anything wedding left to do!
  8. LOL no actually I didn't even think about it... as soon as I get it I will take some pictures of it and my E-Ring.
  9. So exciting... I wasn't going to wear any jewelry but my FSIL got me a really nice simple necklace that I am going to wear! And I went back and forth about the veil and I am not going to wear one I think that it will be to much if the beach is windy so I got a really pretty comb with flowers and bling on it! Ladies I finally ordered my wedding band and it should be here just before we leave LOL man could I have left that any longer! but that was the last big thing on my list so I am almost there! 40 days!

I wake up every morning with butterflies. I'm not nervous, just so excited about the entire trip! I know I thought that it was really nice of her... also I work with a guy that is getting married in Mexico in March and I told him about Maggie our TA and he decided to book through her and she gave me $100 gift card to one of the malls here in town it was awesome of her! Yes I am a little nervous I want everything to work out perfectly and I am so excited about the trip we haven't been on a holiday in a year and a half so it will be awesome to have the holiday go to Cuba and have so many friends and family there I think this will be the trip of a life time! 40 days until we leave!
  11. I am not doing OOT bags, and my travel agent is going to send travel mugs with the tickets in the next week or so, so I figure that is taken care of and one less thing for me to bring down with me! as for lingerie I got a couple for my shower... seriously though I have never worn it before or think that I will again but hey I guess it is part and parcel I just don't think that I would have gone and picked any myself! I am ordering my wedding band this week (I know I know) and other than that a few small things which I keep putting off and have a feeling that I will be running around like crazy before we leave screaming wishing I had done it now not then! LOL I also have my stagette on the 19th which is pretty exciting as well! Let the count down begin!

I had a bit of a accident this weekend, I fell off a horse and seriously sprained my ankle, everyone keeps saying oh god aren't you getting married... I figured no big deal I have like 40 days still, but maybe I will lay off the extreme sports until after the wedding! Also I got my lashes done, I wanted enough time that if I didn't like them I could get rid of them before.... but I love them worth every penny so I will get them filled before we go! Seriously no make up awesome I am not a make up person but to look like I am without is even better and I have gotten so many compliments! 38 days and I am officially on holidays and 42 until we leave and 44 until we are married!
  13. I agree I was bringing a lot down as well and now I am not I don't want to be responsible for all that stuff I think that what I have will be plenty!

  16. Ladies, I think that it is safe to officially start my count down... tomorrow is 45 days and I just got an email that I will be able to pick my seats and meal for my trip! We are flying Club Class on Air Transat I went back and forth because this was a $700 upgrade but now that it is paid and all done I am really glad that we did it, even though all of our guests will be in economy class but how much "parting" can you do on the plane LOL!
  17. Kay2015, I Googled Brochure templates and then followed the instructions to make the template and then I just added my information. There are loads of templates in Publisher but I didn't like any of them and there was a lot of deleting and such that had to be done, it wasn't hard to do in word so that was easiest for me!

I did my own, I made them in Word and then I printed them on my own paper it was easy and I didn't have to wait for Vistaprint, I am typically running behind so having to wait for them to arrive would have hit my deadline LOL

I had our photographer there taking pictures so I can't wait to see them..here is one from a friend's camera where my sister did the best Photo BOOM ever! LOL.... The guests LOVED the Welcome Bags and were super thrilled and the best part was that we raised enough money that the price dropped from $92.22 per person for the Catamaran down to $32 per person for the entire group! Can't wait to share this with my guests in my Fall Newsletter. Lydia, Even with just the one picture I can tell it was a blast... can't wait to see more pictures that is awesome news about the Catameran trip... that will be an awesome trip with plenty more memories for everyone!
  20. I picked my destination first I considered how easy it was to get married there, prices and so on, then once I chose Cuba I spoke with my TA and together we picked 4 resorts, from there it was a matter of what I wanted my guests and myself to pay, for us we got the Iberostar Varadero from Calgary for $1490 including taxes it is sold out now but a few weeks ago it was over $2200 per person so we lucked out, another advantage to using a TA is that there are usually deals for group travel, ours was for every 20 rooms we got the 21 free so with our 49 guests we got 2 free rooms which is awesome because since we are going for 2 weeks we had a big bill to pay so those room credits really came in handy! Don't worry it is a lot at first and overwhelming but you will get there! Congrats and happy planning
  21. Kay2015, You sound like you are starting off right, that is what I spent the most time on, writing things down, picking what was the most important to the two of you... location, price, amenities things like that! That was probably the hardest thing for me, there are so many things to think about, for us Cuba was easy to get legally married and we love the beaches and the people, plus we figured that it would be a treat because most people haven't travelled there! Not to mention how awesome thins site is, you have come to the right place!

I finished assembly my OOT bags that I am giving out this weekend...here are a couple of pics...I have a thread here with all the details: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/85173/oot-help-i-am-obsessed-with-oot-bags-lol-lots-of-pictures/60 I'm excited to see/hear people's reactions...can't wait I would like to be a guest at your wedding, these bags are amazing I have been following your other thread as well! I was going to do them I really wanted to but as soon as my guest list hit 30 and then went to 50 I had to cut them but I want to hear all about the reaction after your party this weekend!
  23. Kay, you girls look awesome, and I cannot wait to see wedding pictures with the white grey and purple I think that it will all work really well together! I guess this is one site that I will come to well after my wedding to see what you girls have been up to and then see pictures from your big days! Csho, LOL that's fantastic I am a big list person too I like to see things crossed off, even at work beside my keyboard I have a note book that I have lists on... funny how physically scratching things off makes you feel so accomplished!

I'm sure it won't be the case just looking for you to put my nightmares to rest! lol We are flying Air Transat... they had the best price which is great because I am not a big fan of Sunwing after our trip to Mexico last year! we had 4 people cancel on us the week that the final payment was due... so yes they had paid a deposit and then life happened and they couldn't go, but I think that for the most part if people pay a deposit they are probably pretty serious about coming for us it was $300 a couple so not a huge amount but also not a small amount!
