I hope that the people coming will know who the bride is LOL but no I thought of that and I think shorter sun dress type dress... hopefully it will work out and we will find something cheaper than a actual bridesmaid dress, and at the end of the day as long as the people I love are there they can wear brach coverups LOL

My uncle is going to come as a guest and then be a photographer once we are there. I don't think that it will be a problem he is my uncle and a guest I think that just becasue thats what he does here doesnt mean that it isnt just like having a family member take pictures professional or not! I think that you will be fine!

I want my entire wedding party to be in white LOL I think that it screams beach wedding while not being tropical shirts LOL

Ladies, How is everything coming along?? Any one have Save the Dates or invitations done yet?? I am almost done mine and I will make sure that I share as soon as I finish! I was at a bridal show on Sunday my bridesmaids arent big fans of me not wanting to do all that bridal stuff (biggest reason I am doing a destiantion wedding) so they made me go, nothing applied to me but I got to watch a fun fastion show! Now I know for sure that I am going to have a hard time finding a dress they all look the same!!! Can't wait to hear how the planning is coming along.

My colours are orange and pink also, I can't find anything either so I am getting my girls to wear white sun dresses and then I will get ribbon in the colours to use like a belt almost, not to figure our where to get white dresses almost the same problem as orange and pink!

I love this idea, I may have to borrow it my girls and I have been friends for 20 plus years i am sure I have tons of pictures that I could use, and this would be something that they would have forever. Thanks for the great idea.

Ok well thats a little better! I have decided that I am going to wait a little longer before I start with all of that I just am going to focus on getting my invitations done and sent and then start to worry about all that!!! But the pictures on facebook all looked so nice! Are you ladies bringing down decorations and other stuff?? I don't know what to do there!

I am going to have to straighten some things out... Did Beliks email you and ask you all this stuff? I never even heard about it until you guys mentioned the 25 CUC a person... I guess though I don't have numbers so I dont want to comit to something like that until I know for sure how many people we are going to have, but I looked at all the paper work that she sent me and there was nothing mentioned about that either... did you ask her about it or did she ask you??? gee just when I think that I am getting somewhere something else pops up!

Shauntel, BEST FIND EVER!!!!! so I spent a shameful amount of time on the Facebook group yesterday reading and looking at pictures and I am totally at ease now with knowing that not one person on there seemed to have any complaints... and for the most part everything looked awesome! I am going to email Beliks today and inquire about the Pool / Beach party that you can reserve for dancing after dinner I think that would be money well spent, we went to a destination wedding in Cuba a few years ago and it was odd after dinner everyone faded out and went their separte ways because there wasnt anything planned for after dinner I think this would solve it no problem! again best find, thanks for letting us know!

Kail - YAY I will keep my fingers crossed I am curious about the charge of 25 cuc pp I didnt see anything about that... all I saw was that if you had more than 25 people you would only have one choice of dinner... which I figure I can deal with when I figure out how many people I am going to have!!! She only sent me the prices listed in an email! there was no attachment, I wanted a list of all the extra things that I could add and the prices... she keeps saying that the current price list is only valid until Oct 2013. Now I am a little worried about that 25 pp I am not sure how many people we will have but that sounds like it could add up fast!!!

I am getting married at the Iberostar Varadero November 18 2013 but I did look at this resort, my travel agent suggested it her and her husband go there twice a year they love it she said it is fantastic, the only reasons I didnt chose it was the price was more than I wanted and the bus ride from the hotel, but from what i have heard you ladies made an awesome choice! Congrats

I thought that the prices were pretty reasonable as well, so far I am super impressed with having made this choice on resorts! I am also skipping Save the Dates I couldnt wrap my head around doing them sending them out and then sending out invitations so I am just going to pay my deposit and go straight for invitations as well. I havent picked a ceremony location yet because I dont know how many people I am going to have, I think that I would like the gazebo because I too want to do it on the beach but I dont like the idea of having people in the background. But if I have to many people I wont be able to do the gazebo. As for the photographer I am not sure yet, I never thought to look into Havana thats a great idea, my uncle is a photographer but I dont know if he will be able to come, I may use my "free" 21 to bring him, but I mean 4 cuc a picture that isnt such a bad rate. I am not sure about decorations yet I really like those paper laterns, I love how they look at hanging in the gazebo. If I hear anything else I will let eveyone know... on a side note this Iberostar 2013 is really helping us get to 150 posts, yay templates!!!

I have family in Toronto and I was quoted 909 plus 291 taxes I wish I was there sometimes its a little cheaper... I also got more pricing from the resort today Pictures 4 cuc each video 150 cuc 12 cuc for each extra bouquet 6 cuc for each extra bouttonier 30 cuc make up application 50 cuc for hair salon I thought that all sounded reasonable, now I need some pricing for decorations, I dont think that I want to drag it all down there with me, it makes for heavy suitcases LOL The first time she offered me was 11am... I dont think so, so I told her that I would change the date to get somehting later so she came back with 2, it does make me feel better that ne one else got a confirmation number, I am keeping every single email I get from her and I will print and bring them all with. Are you ladies doing save the dates???

No problem! I thought that too the resort told me that the wedding package prices that she sent me are only good until October, so I am using best guess and hoping that they will be close or 1-2% higher for November! LOL I guess we will way and see
