    YAY this picking the resort, booking my day, and waiting for people to pay their deposits were the most stressful... it has been all down hill since!

    I know that when I was booking my date the WC at the resort didn't get back to me so finally I went to Iberostar's website and filled in the contact and just told them there that I wanted to get married at the Iberostar Varadero and asked for them to have someone contact me, Then finally I heard from Belkis and ever since the most I have waited for a response has been about 1 or 2 days!!! Thanks ladies they were pretty easy to do and they look awesome in real life, the color is a little dull in that picture, but anyone I have told about them wants me to make them a pair!

    I just tied a knot actually a few, since it is elastic it is really slippery thats why I used the nail polish to secure the knots. I guess you could use a clasp but Then you would run into problems tiying the string onto the clasp. Some people I have read use wire, but I like that the elastic has some give I would worry the wire would snap and there would be beads everywhere! I am going to get really good and then do the bridal ones!

    I did two days about 3 weeks apart, and I found my dress on the first day, but my mom wanted me to walk away and try on more, so we went out a second time and all day we both kept thinking about the dress from the first day, so we went back, and they had sold the sample, but I still bought it I didnt cry like they do on Say Yes to the Dress but I still knew that it was my dress! If you are happy and feel good in it, then it doesnt matter how much it was or if someone else wore it first it is that you LOVE it!

    Csho, I am planning on just buying a flower and adding a clip, but then was also thinking that maybe it would be fun to add some bling and feather or something like that but I can't even seem to find a flower that I like! LOL I am not trying very hard just check out Michaels when I am there, this so much time thing is killing me I have zero motivation. I have one picture it was on my cell so it isnt the greatest and the sandal was laying on my bed when I took the picture but it was really easy, I bought seed beads at Michals and then I bought some 5mm elatic string and also got some bigger beads and went to town, I had the hardest time getting the beads on the string so I bought a bead needle, best $3 ever spent. I took the string and cut about just under an arms length, then I threaded on about 50 beads onto the centre (this part goes around the toe), then I put the two ends together and threaded on some beads, followed by some bigger beads (this part goes up the foot) then I tried it on and added beads until it was at the length I wanted, then I separated the strings again and beaded each side until it was the right length to go araound my ankle. Then I tied the ends, I read somewhere to use bead glue to hold the knots I used clear nail polish, and so far so good. here is one, I will try to remeber to add some more when I get home. let me know if you have any questions.

    Ladies, I am still on the look out for flowers before I decied what I am going to do... I also want to try to make my own hair flower, I made barefoot sandals they were actually pretty easy, I think I am going to make all the females in our group a pair, I cannot spend so much money on things that I think that I can do myself! LOL

    I am not getting married at this resort so can't help with contacting, but welcome to the site congrats! I personally used a TA that we book all our travel through I heard that some of the websites to do direct is a pain because you have to be the contact for the group everything has to go through you, questions, deposits, payments. Good luck!

    Kay, that is amazing, I find it hard to believe that is your first go at it, looks like you do them all the time... I am so torn of what to do with this, I want to do it I dont want to do it, LOL oh the pressure of having so much time nothing really has to be decided right now! Csho, Well I was working with a TA starting back in August and she got me an amazing price to go to this resort, $1200 which by the way flying from Calgary is amazing, just as I went in to book I got an email that my TA had a family emergency and she was out of the office and no one knew when she would be back... so it took about 3 weeks for someone else to contact me, I started getting quotes from other TA's onl;y to find out that the trip was now 1900 a person... so finally they got back to me and the new girl requoted and it was 2100 a person I almost died, when I demanded answers she told me that my original TA quoted me for November 2012 not 2013, (which thank goodness that I keep every email that I have ever sent to them). Then they told me there was nothing that they could dom I hate that answer coming from someone that is going to take my money so I freaked out and emailed head office and the western reginal manager got back to me and here we are 1500 (just under actually) So a big head ache but it was worth it, I havent seen it under 2100 on any site that I have gone too, also the flight that we are on is now sold out. We have a friend that works for West jet and even with her discount my price was even better so I really lucked out thats for sure, but dont stress out the bride. LOL Centre Pieces - Not sure, right now I am thinking that I am going to get fake petals and crystals and just scatter them on the table, but again so much time nothing is making me chose right now!

    Yeah I was actually luck kind of there was a big mess up with my TA at the beginning so they cut their fees and got Air Transit to come down as well so make a long story short we got our price per person under $1500 which is right where we wanted to be. Yeah I thought about a ton of guestbook ideas and saw so many here but this is light roll it up take it bring it back the same way and then get a nice frame when we get home! I have gone back and forth struggling with the flower thing, on the one hand I love those big boqueys that you see brides carrying here so that makes me want to make one, but on the other hand you are in paradise and I am sure that the flowers will reflect that so I have a hard time justifying fake flowers at my wedding in the tropics... so I think that I am just going to go with what they provide. But there is a long time and I may change my mind... I know that I am going to bring fake petals to line the aisle with becasue I heard thsoe are really expensive.

    I actually am lucky my uncle that will be travelling with us is a photographer, so I am using the resort photographer becasue they are included in our package for 2 hours and then we get to pick what photos we want if any, and then my uncle will get the stuff they arent there for... getting ready, reception that sort of stuff and then I will see if he will do a TTD for us as well! Thank goodness because I think it is the most important part, and I dont have that kind of money LOL

    LMAO fine by me I joined this thread even though I am getting married at the Iberostar Varadero, your right there arent very many of us so we can all be part of this thread for ideas and conversation and support. Thanks I am pretty excited about them, I am glad that I didnt fight it trying to design them myself. one less headache and one more thing checked off the list of to dos.
