Thanks I went in November so a year before, which I think is ok... I will have the dress this month and then if any alterations need to be done, I think that it is ok to go, but if you buy stop shopping or you will wind up with buyers remorse.

Kay, that may be the deal of the centry... I know that alterations cost an arm and a leg, I am very thankful that I am so tall becuase I wont have to have mine altered. here it is, the model not me. It should be in at the end of the month. It is my birthday on Monday and my mom thinks that it will be in this week to surprise me... LOL I am not holding my breath but I am really excited to get it! Feels like I have been waiting for ever!

Carina Oh man I really hope that she doesnt change the price on me without letting me know, but I have it in an email so I am going to stay positive! The dinner isnt private at all it is at 6:30 in one of the ala carte's so there is an option to have I guess the "dance" part of the reception after dinner which is private, the choices are the pool bar or the beach bar, they serve drinks and play music and you can party there after dinner! it is optional though... I know that we went to a DW a few years ago and after dinner they had nothing planned dinner was over at 8 and that was that, so I wanted to make sure that we could keep the party going for a little while after dinner without just choosing a bar that we could meet at, this will give me another 2 hours in my dress if I want and then everyone can choose what they want to do from there... disco? bed? whichever!

Csho, We are getting married legally there the pavkage is 800 and there isnt a limit we have 49 people coming the only extra is the "reception" after dinner its 10 cuc per person snd includes open bar with bartender and dj!! Let mr know if you have sny other questions I have some guests flying from Toronto and it was 1100 for 7 nights

My only real advice would be to have a few things in mind ie material or skirt and maybe style there are so many dresses and it is easily overwhelming. I had about 6 pictures that I liked or at least like 1 or 2 things about the dress and we went from there, also have fun and stick to your gut! It may be the first day out and the first dress but if its yours then its yours! Have fun

Lydia, Why dont you get Sunset to do some engagement or another photoshoot and see how it goes then you may feel better with her as a person maybe once she shoots you she will relax a little with you. My other suggestion is to just go with your gut thats hard sometimes but I think that it will work out just fine!

I think that you should do your with white and then mix up with purple and blue for the others you could add gems to yours if you want to bling it up a little!!!

Great job you musr be so happy they are done and out... I know how happy and relaxed I felt once mine were in the,mail box and I didnt have to look at them anymore!

I got in touch with the resort first and then booked my flights and then confirmed the date! Our deposits were due at the end of January, we skipped STD and sent invitations in November... We have 49 people including us. I got my dress the end if November and it should be here the end of April. My FI ordered his suit from Studio Suits and it came last week its perfect, so the GM are getting their pants there as well. I have laynards and pockets for room card and tip holders but havent done them yet, and have luggge tags but havent done that yet either, I am stuck with bridesmaid dresses I want orange and cant find them so I am holding in cae I have to change my colours, I am going looking today so fingers crossed! Once I get those I can keep going with everything else. The onky worry I would have about flights not being booked is that a week before our deposits were do, our flight was sold out... My TA thinks that it may be another wedding and they are holding 90 seats for that group and they might become avaliable agin but still glad I booked when I did. Its good to see where everyone is in planning Im relaxed that I dont seem to be very far behind!

Good thinking about the face cloths that seems to be something you dont get at most resorts and everyone wants one!!!

I heard the same thing we were in Vuba 3 years ago for a wedding but at tge time my FI had just got laid off from work the onky reason we were on the trip was because we already paid lol but they all went on that and said it was great!!

Oh no... this really sucks, I was told when we booked that it was a pre registration so things could change once the flight schedules came out, but still annoying considering everything else is booked. Could you talk to the resort and change your wedding date? I mean I think that it is common having flights all change, then you could at least do the trip thurs-thurs and not have to make any other changes?

I got my dress from a store on McLeod called Jessicas Bridal they were awesome, then I didnt buy it that day it was down to two different dresses but I went back about 2 1/2 weeks later and all three woman remembered me and pulled the two that I loved without asking to see the paper that they wrote them on. It was nice becasue my first day I went to Beautifal Bride, I heard it was great, and I had a horrible appointment, but it may have been the consultant working that day. I had a punch... with all the other cutting that was involved I wanted to make something a little easier! I will try to remember to take some pictures of them tonight and get them posted so you can see them... it was a lot of work but I think that it was worth it and other than the time way cheaper than buying them somewhere and I think way more personal!
