  1. Hi MK, I actually got my girls this dress in coral... LOVE them!!!! They are Jordan Fashions style#260. If you find them in a store and like them, the best price/shipping deal is from: www.weddingshoppeinc.com Good luck! :-D
  2. Hey there ladies! WOW! I just got hit with the flu BIG TIME and am finally feeling good today! SO happy to be back in the game! On the plus side, I got a TON done while I was sick! Finished my barefoot jewelry for the bridesmaids, made iron on shirts for all the ladies in the wedding party, decorated flower girl baskets, finished off OOT projects, organized all my stuff, etc. Things I still have to do: File all of the paperwork to get legally married in the D.R., purchase wedding rings, figure out table decor, get my dress fitted, keep working out! I've lost 5 lbs since Jan 1, but still would like to lose another 10 so that the dress looks perfect! All I've been doing is counting the calories (keep it around 1800 a day), and cross training (weights, cardio, yoga, etc for a total burn of 800-1200 calories a day.) I agree that making a list really helps a lot. Just knock things out one at a time and pretty soon you have a bearable load to work with! Only 3 months till May ladies!!!!!!!!!!! :-D
  3. SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! This is absolutely gorgeous!!! I had an absolute NIGHTMARE trying to find a TTD dress. I found a company that makes "knockoffs" of my dress (bridalshopa.com). The dress was HORRIBLE!!!!!! There is supposed to be a perfect X in the back with the straps; the straps on this garment attached at two different places on the back. The fit was absolutely HAYNESS!!! It bunched up in the middle and looked like I was wearing a big satin condom! It was absolutely horrid. I will attach comparison pics of my actual dress vs. the bridalshopa version (hm, they didn't download in order, but #1, 5, 6, and 7 are the knockoffs, and 2, 3 and 4 are my actual dress). When all was said and done, and over a month of arguing, emails, excuses, negotiation, customs issues, etc., I finally got most of my money back (minus $50.) Just be careful! The company I was dealing with was out of China. I ended up finding a nice Ann Taylor on sale. It doesn't look the same, but at least the quality is nice.
  4. GREAT! I just ordered them! Thank you SOOOO much!!!!! :-D I think that was the last thing I needed for the finishing touch on my wedding day attire!!!
  5. Cherany!!! That last pair of foot jewelry is absolutely STUNNING!!!!! Do you know what the seller info is for these? These would go with my dress PERFECTLY!!!
  6. They ended up costing about $15-$16 each total. I think it's a GREAT idea to do one per couple instead of doing them for each person! In hindsight, that's what I would have done to save a little $ and not have to bring as much stuff. My FI is going to totally freak out when we start trying to pack all of that stuff into our luggage!!! Here's a pic of the canvas bags. I got them from InGreetings.com . You can customize there, but I saved a couple $ and just did Avery "Light Fabric" Iron ons at home and they turned out fine. I also included a picture of the foot jewelry I'm making for the bridesmaids (please excuse my haynessly LARGE feet! ;-)
  7. Matt and I will be arriving at the ME on the 9th! :-) I have tried uploading pics on this site, but have had trouble. I'll try again. For the survival kit, I got plastic bags, body poofs (2 for $1), and hand sanitizer (2 for $1) at the dollar store. I got the advil, chapstick, aloe, and suntan lotion at Minimus.com. I got the emergenC from walmart.com. I then printed out labels on thick paper with all of the writing on the lower half so that it could be folded around the top of the bag and stapled on. Altogether, it cost about $6 for each survival kit.
  8. PHEW! I just finished my OOT Bags for the guests! They include: Ladies: Canvas Beach tote with an iron on "Majestic Elegance, Punta Cana Dominican Republic, May 13, 2013" Men: Black Nylon Drawstring bag: "P.C., D.R., 5.13.13" All bags include: "For Sickness and Health..." Punta Cana Survival Kit: Emergen-C Advil Suntan Lotion Chapstick, spf 30 Aloe Hand Sanitizer Body Poof "To Have and To Hold..." your key, money and ID: Coil bracelet with waterproof ID holder Steel Flip-Flop Bottle opener Magnet, "Punta Cana, 5-13-13" 22 oz stadium cup with lid and straw, "Majestic Elegance, Punta Cana, D.R., May 13, 2013. Note Pad with pen, "Matt+Chrystine, TLF" Bridal Party Ladies: I made foot jewelry and bought earrings and bracelets. Thinking about also getting them engraved Picture frames. Bridal Party Men: Matt bought all of their Linen suits for them! I can't believe it's only 4 months away!!!
  9. I am also doing a one-shoulder dress for the bridesmaids. There will be no necklaces, but there will be dangley earrings, bracelets, and foot jewelry. For the dinner/reception, they can wear whatever shoes they want. For an ivory dress, you could go with just about anything! Do you have a fun accent color like coral, purple or red? Shoes in a different color could be a fun pop! Or you could play it safe with taupe or bronze. GOOD LUCK!!! :-) 4 months, 1 week!!! Time to hit the gym... HARD!!!! LOL!
  10. I asked my WC (Andreina) and she said that this was built to accommodate the "beach" weddings! SO, mine will be held here! SO EXCITED!!!
  11. Our wedding is May 13th, but we will be there until the 19th :-)
  12. I am not going to do anything for decor. I think everything will be beautiful enough!!!
  13. MY MISTAKE! My WC just told me that you DO have to be at the hotel 3 nights before the wedding date! Thanks for the heads-up! :-)
  14. I learned that if you book directly with an airline, most of them have a price drop guarantee. US Airways is the only one that appears to fly direct from Philly to Punta Cana. Here is their policy: Lower fare guarantee When a new lower fare becomes available after a ticket has been purchased, customers are entitled to a lower fare guarantee refund within the following guidelines. We will deduct a $150 change fee ($250 for international travel) and apply residual funds in the form of a US voucher. Additional rules and restrictions may apply. Call reservations for a lower fare guarantee. The lower fare is available for the exact itinerary previously purchased. No portion of the reservation has been flown. Lower fare guarantee refunds are not available for online ticket exchanges. Certain promotional fares may be excluded. SO, at least we would get a voucher for a future trip if we book now!
