10 DAYS TO GO!!!!
CriCri replied to JQLong's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Congratulation!! We are wainting fro your review! -
I can partially answer your questions: - Word is installed in the PCs available uin the Preferred reception, I have used it. Printer is in b/w - I have eaten Surf and Turf during the romantic dinner in the beach, it's very good except the steamed vegetable that is always a little bit raw. For my wedding I have had National beef filet and also in this case steamed vegetable were raw so I think it's their receipe.

I confirm that the resort can print the menu, it's very basic. The cost is 3$ each. I think it looks like this one: I have printed my menus with a normal printer and buying a glazed paper, using a maritime background and adding some adhesive crystals. I have used the same style/paper/background for ceremony welcome program and for maracas.

The idea of the cutain of crystals is very nice but with the new canopy I think you need tons of them. At the same time you must check the lenght of the curtains because the new canopy is also high. The situation is different with the floating one, it's smaller and more similar as the pictures. I think Cassie has used the floating canopy, maybe she can show you some pictures. If you ask to the resort to re-create something similar as the picture, they for sure will charge it, it's their work and a lot of people have involved in the preparation of the location.

My wedding was originally planned for 5.00 pm but the translator didn't arrive in time so we delayd 30 minutes at least. I suggest you to take extra songs in case of delay, my husband told me that they had the same 5 songs for 3 or 4 times when they were wainting for me. During the day it was raining so the sky was full of clouds but the positive thing is that in all the pictures we have open eyes and no shade in the face.

Between the beach and the wedding gazebo you can find the showers and the "feet washes" The beach towels are near the showers over a bench of stones and you can take them, use and leave. I don't remember exatly at what time they take away the towels but you can ask to Cecilia in order to be sure they will be there after your ceremony. I and my guests didn't use them, we have only clean the feet by hand.

I have these pictures with coral colored canopy. During my trip in SMB I have seen also a canopy decorated with colored chinese lantern. As regards the flowers, if you have any bouquets or arrangments that you like, you can ask to have one similar. I didn't find a bouquet between the listed so I have sent a pictures and they did one very similar but better then the picture.

I have taken sashes, fans and bubbles for the ceremony and maracas, menu and gifts/favors for the dinner. Gift/favors - set up on the table at the reception is included in the Ultimate package whilst set up the sashes taken by home cost 2$ each. I had only 10 chairs and at the end Cecilia didn't ask me extra money.

Hi brides I need your help. I'm looking for a high definition picture with the mariachi trio during the night. They have played at 9.30pm when my photographers had already gone so I don't have any professional photo. I want make a photo-album but I miss a "good" picture with them :-( , I have only low resolution with red eyes. Can you help me? I will use the picture only for my private album and I will not post in the web. Thank you

I'm using the Cecilia method to answer to this email ;-) Quote:Originally Posted by msop04 1) I am thinking of hiring a professional (Styling Trio Riviera Maya) to do my hair and makeup. I sent an email about two weeks ago requesting a price quote, but no response yet I have received a complete quotation ( Bridal Hair, make up, trial, transfer,...bridesmaids), let me know your email address and I will forward you the email. Just to have a basic quotation you can consider: - Bridal Package, Hair and Makeup, just wedding day, 285 USD 2) I was also wondering what type of credit(s) I would receive for not using certain parts of the Ultimate Package, such as: a) "bride's hairstyling and makeup for ceremony" "video of the ceremony (30 minutes edited)" -- $930 package, so I thought I might be able to get a nice credit here?? Hair style and make-up cost: 59$+ 49% (+ 11%tax ). You have also 15% discount of all the SPA service such as the hair style and make up trial If you don't want certain parts of the Ultimate package, the credit is less then the price list because it doen't reflect the real price of the item. If you upgrade a service, for example the photographer, you will pay the difference between the 2 packet as they are in the price list. If you don't use the video, If I remember well you receive a credit of 600$ 3) To upgrade your photo package, do you simply pay the difference in price?? Ex: Package #3 is included in Ultimate @ $724, so to UPGRADE to Package #5 @ $1100 would be an ADDITIONAL $376 plus tax?? Am I correct in this thinking? Yes exactly, but you must underline that you upgrade a service 4) How many rooms must be booked to receive a "discount?" I had only 5 rooms so they weren't consider a group 5) I would like to do a "welcome bonfire/dinner" for guests a couple of nights before the wedding for everyone to get acquainted (and let's get serious, to PARTY TOGETHER and make them even happier they came!!) How much does this cost?? Would it be a better idea (read: "less expensive" <--- HA!) just to include a date/time on my invitations for a welcome dinner at one of the restaurants (since it's included anyway) and simply make reservations in advance for all my guests?? I did welcome dinner in the mexican restaurant, I booked a table for 10 directly to the Assistant of the Food & Beverage Manager, he's name is Fidel Castandea. He told me : The restaurants have a non reservation policy, it will be first come first serve, the only restaurants or dinners that will be able to accommodate 10 people, will be the Mexican Restaurant, the World Café (buffet restaurant) and the theme nights on the outdoor areas such as the Mexican Night and the Estravaganza Fire Night and the hibachi table at the Himitsu Restaurant (reservation required), the rest of the restaurant have a none reservation policy, and the dessign of those restaurant wont give us the chance to sit you all together. So if you will be a big group I think isn't possible arrange a welcome dinner in a restaurant. Have a good wedding planning!
