Thank you soo much! I am actually considering making Dreams my venue but I also like Majestic colonial. Once I have all my questions answered from the resorts I will sit the fiance down and make a decision. I can't wait once the place is booked everything else will fall into place. I think once I have a place I will start looking at photographers thanks for all the recommendations.

I'm considering doing my reception at the Jellyfish in Feb 2013 but I haven't heard back from them its probably due to the holidays . Can I ask what was more appealing about the jellyfish compared to your resort?

I've been engaged 15 days and I have done soo much research on these forums that I have narrowed my choices to Dreams Punta Cana or Majestic Colonial in Feb 2013. I thought few people would come but as the news gets around my family most plan on coming. My 30 people guest list may turn into 50 but the resorts have so many choices that I can change things to be affordable = ) Dreams had a group rate already which was nice so I can get an idea of pp rates. today I am creating our wedding website and sending out an evite for our engagement party next month. very excited.

I really like this dress I will see if I can find it locally and try it on. I'm a street size 6 but for BM dress I got for a friends wedding I had to get a 10.

Those are great prices who's your TA or where did you get those rates?

Hello do you guys have suggestions on what else besides flowers the BMs can carry? I am trying to cut some cost since I will have 5 BMs and the bouquets are $60 a piece at the resort.

I am 80% sure I am going to become a Majestic Colonial Bride!!! I've only been engaged 12 days but I'm on a mission to choose a venue so I can send the save the dates with all the travel information and I'm talking to the TA tomorrow.

I barely know how to post on these forums LOLZ I just noticed your venue is Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana I just emailed them today for pricing although I am pretty much sure about Majestic colonial I would like to see what other places offer. How come you chose them over the others and how big is your guest list?

Hello ladies I was curious if any of you are getting married Feb 2012 and what rates you were quoted for the rooms and options. I know Feb is high season but some of the pricing I've seen seems reasonable compare to other resorts. I've seen $270 per room with double occupancy before taxes.

Hello- I just got engaged a week ago and don't even know where to start until I get my "destination wedding planner" I ordered on Amazon LOLZ. Here's what I know for sure we want to get married in Punta Cana, we are inviting 60-70 people and think at least 40 will come. I don't want to get married on the sand. The date will most likely be in Jan or Feb 2013 but I hear there are better deals in Nov-Dec time frame. My guests are mostly coming from California, the east coast and some family from Santo Domingo. Any advice any of you can give me would be appreciated =) For the DJ-We have a professional DJ friend I would just need to make sure I can get him the equipment he would need. Photographer- I would need to get one. One of my guest is a photographer but I would like her to enjoy the party not be working she may take 'extras" though. Venue: Don't know how to pick one there are so many great ones. We have emailed some to get some pricing and options. Travel agent- I emailed wright I rather have everything arranged but I am also good at coordinating so we will see what the best pricing is.
