Majestic Colonial wedding packages
DominicanLeila replied to lmacl079's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I don't have a good pic but they have some on the FB majestic colonial page. After I calculated all the costs I'm just going to get decor package 3 and bring some of my own stuff too since the chairs alone will cost as much as the package. -

Decorations: So when I first started planning this wedding I was going to go light on the decorations since they are so expensive and the resort areas for the wedding are so beautiful but as time goes by I am changing my mind a bit. I am not going to do any decor at the ceremony under the gazebo but I have my heart set on the tiffany chairs which are $600 for 30 and the $19 per chair after that, but at least I can ALSO use them for the reception so I'm thinking I'm going to do it. I also have seen pics of this really nice table cloth with gold swirls that I like do you guys know if I can just rent those 2 things instead of picking decoration package #3 which is $1,000? My other option is to get the chairs and bring my own table cloth along with centerpieces but by the time I do all that the price maybe $1000 with the baggage fees etc, but at least I will have EXACTLY what I want. what do you guys think? Thanks -

To get the MC wedding pricing you have to click on the wedding area and send a request then they send you everything pretty quickly too. -
We ended up sending a SDT with a PRE-RSVP so I get an idea of how many people are planning to attend so I know how many rooms to reserve at the resort. then my plan is to only send official invites to the people that rsvpd they were coming. I am getting surprised though people who I thought wouldn't be coming are attending.

Ladies- Do any of you feel a bit guilty about having a destination wedding it's going to cost each guest about $2,000 for 1 week to come to my wedding. I do know its a great opportunity for a vacation and they will have a great time but I feel GUILTY since its so pricey and of course they have the choice to not come- I don't know why when I look at the prices I think they are so high and I feel guilty Any of you go through this?

I just got my save the date magnets and PRE-RSVP postcards I made the quality is okay not perfect but for $90 for 100 magnets and 90 postcards plus envelopes and return labels I'm not complaining. -
Hi! Congrats! so I was thinking of not doing too much decorating I am getting married at the Gazebo, steakhouse for dinner and wet bar reception. do you think the scenery is decor enough? I plan on doing very little maybe a runner on the dinner table a some pretty table cloths with candles for the reception.

I have read that the beach is windy and also there will be people on the beach since its not private. I have seen pictures where there are people in bathing suits in the background. I also didn't want to get married on the sand it gets everywhere and drives me nuts lol and the gazebo is more private and intimate so I choose that spot.
