One of my bridesmaids accepted in September of last year. We have been friends since second grade. I am paying for her whole trip to mexico along with her date and I also bought her bridesmaid dress because I knew money was an issue for her. All I asked was that she get her plane ticket and passport. As of now- my wedding is one month out and she still hasn't recieved her passport and still has not booked her flight. I even flew her up here for the bridal shower/bachelorette party because she lives in florida. She got bombed and we couldn't find her for 3 hours during the bachelorette party. When does a person draw the line? My heart is broken over this. She really has NO excuse not to show up. She has known about this wedding for almost a year! Unbelievable.

Yes. $95 per person staying off resort. I have to say that I am finding that Dreams doesn't work with you at all or make ANY exceptions on these items. I have been pretty upset by the way I am treated- like just another number to them. Little care or concern is shown during planning. Our package included a 1 hour music trio and come to find out if we don't want to use the trio-because we wanted a spanish guitarist we pick- they won't credit us the $350 for anything else- even though we are spending a lot of money on extra people and have about 35 guests staying at the resort as well as spending our entire honeymoon there. I guess that means nothing. Then you have to also use the in house photographer or guess what- again no credit from package! Same thing with the cake. We wanted a professional cake- and if we since we aren't using the cake in the package- it's our loss- no credit or we have to use it at another event. So we spent money on the ultimate wedding package and at leat $500 has gone down the drain. We have to have an extra cake we don't even want. Too bad for us. It's really sad. Nobody there seems to care. I am concerned about how this is going to turn out and how we and our guests will be treated when we get there. When I express concern or ask to escalate any issue- I get no response. Good luck to everyone. It hasn't been a fun experience and much more stress than I ever anticipated.

I looked into using that vendor. The owner was quite slow to respond to me and when I sent a photo of the flowers I was looking for he was not able to duplicate them. photo he sent back was missing some of the flowers and looked nothing like my photo. I think he does more classic flowers and I am looking for modern. It's true that florist is about half the cost of Florenta and may be a better choice for some.

Hi. I am getting married at Dreams in June2012. I agree that Magda is not always on the ball about responding. But I have been able to do a lot on my own through a lot of research and hard work. Hopefully this will save other brides time and frustration. Vendors we are using are as follows: Ceremony and Cocktail Music- Spanish guitarist Arturo Santomayo. He is at least $200 cheaper to book on your own and not through Dreams. He has a website and you can hear his music on there. Couldn't be a nicer guy on the planet to deal with. Flowers: Lola with Florenta. If you are picky about flowers- she can help you. Already we have emailed hundreds of times. She seems to be great.Go to Florenta Los Cabos on facebook to see her work. She is expensive. I paid $1900 for 4 huge centerpieces and ceremony decorations, bridal party flowers and a bag of roses. Crazy! But flowers are important to me. Cake- Sweet Dreams Los Cabos. I am using the cake in the package for the rehearsal dinner because I wanted a three tier cake. I hear that Sweet Dreams is awesome. Response time is slow however so be prepared. Also a facebook page. Decorations: Oxten- Hector Portugal- I got a dance floor, and fancy uplighting and dance floor lighting from Hector for the same price I would have gotten a dance floor and lanterns only from Dreams. DJ Ricardo- Saved about $200 by booking on my own. All in all, I didn't want to wait for the last minute for Magda to work with me on this stuff. So I booked these people on my own, and ok'd it with Magda via email. Be prepared to wire deposits in advance when booking on your own. But I saved about $500 doing this and feel I found the best group of people to make my wedding great.
