Hello Ladies, My name is Amie, and I am from Chicago as well! Chi-town represent My FI is from MI so we decided to get married at Dream Tulum in May 2013 so our families can all meet. He proposed while we were on vacation for my 30th in Kauai! So excited, gonna start working on STD boarding passes. I am not very crafty, but finished my 1st DIT project for my BP. So exciting to see a midwest group!

Do you know how fabric you are going to need for the chairs? Are you doing that yourself or having the hotel do it? I really like the color on the chairs, but $25/chair seems a little redic! i would rather spend the $$ on something else

Congrats! I too thought some of those things wouldn't bother me. But, as they are coming up I am starting to be sad But its our day, most people will make it, and the others can still enjoy the celebrations beforehand! Its our day to shine

I have talked to a travel agent, but the only prices you can see now are for 2012. I think 2013 becomes available around November/December. The TA i spoke with said the deals are 1 free room every 21 booked or you can get a discount based on how many book. Is this what anyone else has heard? Seems weak to me. I am going to start working on a boarding pass for STD, and work into a passport for the formal. When can I start to send this out for a May 2013 wedding. Also, since it destination wedding, what do you all think about getting married on a Thursday? Is that too weird? I am thinking Thursday so I can relax for the rest of the weekend and not be a nervous wreak!

Where do you get the templates for the passport? I want to do that for my formal invites, and a boarding pass for STD. Thanks

Can you tell me about your travel mugs, or do you have any photos? Where did you get the made? Were they a pain in the ass to pack? I really want to do this but these are my concerns. Thank you!

We have decided to do boarding pass for STD, passports for the formal invitation, and a message in the bottle when guests arrive OOT bags!! Now for all the hard work as I plan DIY

I just finished my invites for my bridal party! I impressed myself with a DIY project as I am not very artsy fartsy The girls are loving them. I typed out my message (which on found here!), mounted it on lunar blue cardstock, then on a sandy beige cardstock. I punched holes on top, and inserted blue wired ribbon(JoAnn fabrics) through the top to make a bow. I found great seashell stickers (on sale and put them on the outside. For small gifts I added a split of champagne and photo and the bridesmaid and myself with a magnet on the back (4 for $10 at JoAnn). All fairly easy. I added the girls initials to the bag with a seashell, and on the flip side mexico themed stickers (also on sale) to make it fun! Hope this helps anyone that needs ideas!! Now the girls know and I will have so much help for my next DIY!!!

My FI and i stayed here a year ago and loved it! We are thinking about having at this location because we loved it so much or possibly Dreams Tulum or Valentin! Congrats

Did you get to visit the Dreams Tulum? I am hoping to have no children at the wedding. I know there will be some exceptions but that is my goal!! What did you think?

I just got engaged in October, and will be a May 2013 Mexico bride We are looking at Riveria Maya and Tulum... Any thoughts out there?

hello all, i am newly engaged and looking at both of these resorts (Dreams Tulum and Riveria Maya) for may 2013. Does anyone have any feedback from these resorts? Is Tulum too far away from things? And, where do i start? Thanks ahead of time! i would love any thoughts!
