  1. MissJali, To have a wedding on the beach is $345 EXTRA. If I can put in my two cents, It's not worth it. Both locations (the beach gazebo and the actual beach) are dead center of the resort and there is absolutely no privacy. I saw a couple of weddings set up and you have the aisle....and then a fat European in speedos. I got married in the garden and it is absolutely secluded and best of all.. private. If that's something you might be interested, that could be an option. I just got back last week, I also had Susana. Everything was fine except she was running half hour behind and the judge almost left! I included an image for you guys.
  2. JG..which WC are you working with? I just came back from there.
  3. I don't think I did it right the first time so here it goes again! Sam wore linen khaki pants from Express, a button up shirt from Calvin Klein and boat shoes from Macy's. It was a simple outfit but to me he was the most handsome groom in the world. Plus, it kept him cool in the Carribean heat!

  5. Hi! sorry to barge in on your thread but I read your question about getting married at BBPD. I just got back and let me tell you, it was AWESOME. One recommendation, though. Try to book in the Garden Gazebo. It's the most gorgeous location and it's super private. It's completely hidden away but a short walk to the beach. I also recommend to get Marlen the photogrophy at tropical pictures. She is the best and took the most beautiful pics. Have fun and enjoy your day.
  6. Hi all, I just got off the phone with Jetblue. I've read everywhere that airlines will accomodate your wedding dress when traveling......all except JET BLUE. I just got off the phone with them to make arrangements with them for when I board my plane. They told me that the only options were to check the dress in or get this...SHIP IT!!! Well I called again and a lovely person name Jennifer talked me off the ledge but she also confirmed that Jetblue does not have any closets for the dress. She assured me that the the flight attendants will be happy to accomadate me. We'll see. Hopefully they are as nice as Jennifer and not like the first lady I spoke with. Thanks!
  7. I'm glad I found this site. I was originally going to go with DestinationWeddings.com but A) I don't want to front 50 bucks and after one conversation with Patty Jordan and a couple of emails I'm definately sticking with her. She's friendly, quick to respond very informative and super patient as I had a ton of questions. I hope that my guests are smart enough to take my advice and go with her too.
  8. I agree. I just started working with Patty as well. We've only had one convo and she is wonderful. So glad to see that other people think so too!
  9. Hi all, So I've decided to get married this July. Yea I know it's coming up but I'm one of the last minute ppl. I'm only having family come to the wedding so I'm not planning some lavish affair. Anyhoo...I've been searching the web on where to go. My top 3 resorts are Hard Rock, Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort, and Dream Palm Beach. The reviews on Travelocity have me panicky and I don't know what to do. I am also researching TA's. I encountered a website, destinationweddings.com, any one heard of it?? I can't continue to drag my feet on this. We already got our passports and we've gotten our paperwork translated....we just need to pick a place! HELP!!!!! thanks!
