Thanks for the heads up FireyNurse, I'll let him know!

I guess it's worth trying! I'd buy one more to use as your test one.

Gosh, he/we have checked so many places we can't even keep track anymore...checked Mexx and Le Chateau, nothing off-white. Good idea about Tommy Bahamas and Brooks Brothers - thanks!

Thanks vbbtk - I'm fully expecting there is a charge, I'm just still waiting to hear what it is. Tiffany did reply and say for wedding events (welcome party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony) that it costs $30/day but she did not provide a day pass price for all the non-wedding event days. I've asked her again to provide this cost. It does kinda suck, but my friend realizes it's her own fault for not booking sooner.

Just a quick update... we've checked Just White Shirts, Sears, Hugo Boss, French Connection. No dice. I looked into Express but it's nowhere near us, and their site didn't show any off-white or ivory shades. I stopped into Tip Top Tailors at Yorkdale (a bigger store than in our local mall) and they actually had one off-white shirt in his size.. almost. It fits well in the body but the sleeves are massive. It'll be his back-up in case he can't find anything else. We're planning a trip to Vaughn Mills in the very near future so fingers crossed... Thanks for all your help so far ladies!

I wanted to share some vendor contacts and they didn't really seem to fit in the vendor forums here. They are both fantastic but work in and service Toronto area brides so they'd just get lost in the vendor rankings here on BDW. If you are looking for a seamstress who can work magic, I have just the person for you: Elizabeth Oliveira @ Labl (http://labl.ca/studio-meet.html). My dress came from a sample sale and was too small and wripped. I'm one fitting away from being finished and the dress is even more stunning than the original. She has essentially reconstructed it to fit my vision and my body perfectly. To call her a seamstress is an understatement actually, she is a designer and having her expertise to tackle various alteration challenges along the way was a godsend. (Did I mention it was a couple of sizes too small?) She is also very cost-conscious if you need her to be (which I did). There is no WAY I would've gotten this level of service at a big bridal salon. One important note - she is having a baby in less than two months so at this time she is not taking on any new bridal clients but as of the new year, she (should be) good to go! The second person I'd like to recommend makes bridal accessories - mainly veils, sashes, headbands, etc. I wanted a crystal sash for my dress and after looking all over Toronto and not finding anything under $300, stumbled across Samantha @ Sparkle and Pomp (http://sparkleandpomp.com/). She makes beautiful pieces at a fraction of the cost of what you will find in stores. Belts/sashes are really hard to find in Toronto (if you've looked, you KNOW what I'm talking about). Samantha has tons of embellishments and unlike ANY store, will loan the sample pieces out. Since my dress has been worked on since the summer (yes, really, 5 alterations so far) I couldn't take it around with me when shopping for a sash to know how a sash would look, if the colour was right, etc. Samantha too was a godsend, and so friendly and flexible to work with. I've just ordered my embellishment, which she will sew right on to my dress in mid-November. I haven't posted any dress photos yet as I'm waiting to unveil (hehe) the transformation once it's complete, but I will be sure and post photos, this time where I'm supposed to post dress pics on BDW. Good luck to you all - and if this post helps even one bride, I will be so thrilled!

Thanks IslandBride201x - we're doing exactly that. We'll be having one low, long arrangement on the centre of the huppa arch that will then be used on the dining table infront of my new husband (!) and I. I've got some DIY aisle markers that I'll ask them to bring over and pin to the dining table corners, or possibly the cake and/or guest book tables. I hadn't thought about the license table arrangement but we'll figure out a place for it.

Hey Jreist - I saw on the 'services with extra charges' document that there are passes that cost: Day $75, Night $100, All day/night $150, but I understood this was the cost for non-Iberostar guests to come onto the property. This is what I'm hoping to get clarification on. Surely Iberostar won't charge a Beach guest $30 to come over on wedding day, and $75+ to come over any other day...?? Thanks LolasMom71 - I don't think I've ever heard/read it was free for guests to come over, but that would be awesome if it is the case! I've put all these Qs to the WC so hopefully I'll know soon. I'll be sure to post her response too. Thanks

Posted this question last week and didn't get any responses so trying again. If you can help, please reply - I've got a guest booking on hold awaiting the answer... We've just found out the Suites are sold out during our wedding week and we've another 8 ppl who are intending on coming. We've directed all but one to book the Grand (fulfilling the 90% Suites+Grand occupancy as per the contract) but I have one friend who's planning to come (solo) with her infant. She will be our only Beach guest and I understand on wedding day, we can pay $30 for her to come over to the Suites. What I need to know is, how much does it cost her to come over to the Suites any other day? I'm sure I've read that day passes are available for those who want to visit 'up' (Beach to Suites/Grand, or Suites to Grand) but I haven't been able to find any info and of course I'm not hearing back from the WC. We don't want her being all by herself at the Beach for the week, especially with the baby. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks, I'll take a look!

Thanks AD2012. We've been trying to think of labels that offer slimmer fits and Hugo Boss is on our radar, we just haven't found the right colour or size yet.

Thanks Peach. He may end up back at Moore's to do just that. I don't think he's really looked online. I'm sure he could find something there but then he'd be taking a chance with the colour as what you see online isn't necessarily what it might be in life. He's going to check out a clothing store that specializes in clothes for shorter men. He's average height, but he needs a 15 neck, 32/33 arm and a slim fit so the hope is there might be some selection there.

My FI is looking for an off-white dress shirt to wear for our wedding and he's having trouble finding one. (He can't wear white as my dress is light ivory in colour and he in white would make my dress look yellow.) He's checked Moore's (they had the colour but the shirts were HUGE, like a tent), Tip Top Tailors, Pinstripe, The Bay, Harry Rosen, GAP, H&M, Zara... can't remember where else. Still need to check Sears. I can't be the only bride wearing diamond wihte/light ivory - where did your FI an off-white dress shirt? Oh, and we're in Toronto, so preferably something in the GTA. Thanks!

I just reread the Suites 2012 Wedding Package document and it states that 90% of our guests must stay at the Suites or Grand! I'm freaking out now because we're 12 booked at the Suites and there are about 10 more who need to book, but most if not all will likely go to the Beach. That would have us around 55% between the Suites and Grand - what happens then?? Will we not be allowed to get married at the Suites??? Please, someone tell me this is not the case! With just over 2 months to go this is NOT what I want to hear....

Kfarkas26... I checked out the link below from Alier1 (thank you! great photos!) and it looks like the lobby bar IS the Piano Bar, isn't it? The lobby bar has a big piano sculpture in it so presume it's called the Piano Bar. Or is what you are referring to as piano bar actually the Blue Moon Music Bar? LOL, just trying to figure it out...

Urghhh...just found out the Suites is fully booked during the week of our wedding...and we still have a bunch of people who have not yet booked! Can a past bride who had guests at 2 or 3 of the properties explain how non-wedding day guest passes work and how much they cost? I have the doc from the resort, but I think the rates must refer to non-Iberostar guests: It states this about day passes: Day $75 Night $100 All day/night $150 and then the all-day wedding pass for Beach guests are $30 Does that mean our Beach guests would have to spend $75-$150 per day to come over to hang out with our group at the Suites?! When on wedding day they're only charged $30? What about if we want to host a rehearsal dinner at the Suites - is that a $100 charge per Beach guest to come over and eat with the group? We were planning a rehearsal and farewell dinner at the Suites. I know Grand guests don't have to pay anything extra so we're going to encourage ppl to stay at the Grand. We know some won't want to or can't afford to, but I want them to understand exactly how much it'll cost to come over to the Suites over and above their package price. Thanks for your help!

That sounds like a great price! We're in the process of looking at excursion options too, and one of the better offers we've come across is $90/pp for the bus (private for our group), a stop at the Rose Hall Great House, Dunns (incl admission) and lunch. This is with Real Tours Jamaica. May I ask what tour company you're referring to? Thanks!
