Good luck to everyone. I guess this is why there are so many Bridezilla shows. Our families and friends push us there. Thankfully both of our families have been very supportive.
Is anyone getting there parents and future in laws a wedding gift? I saw some really cute handkerchiefs on etsy with cute little sayings on them. I think I may get those, but wanted others opinions.
We are using a travel agent. I found it easier for her to communicate with the wedding coordinator and resort. She has also been able to get us good deals without having to do a block of rooms. She will also continue to check for price drops in our resort up until 2 months before the wedding. So far all of our guest are going to use her because of the fact that if you book and then price drops she automatically gives you the lower rate. Since most communication with the resort seems to need to be during my working hours, I was having trouble getting through to the resort without playing phone tag.
We ended up not doing a block of rooms for this reason. I was afraid we would end up paying for several rooms. Our travel agent was actually able to get a better deal without the block through a tour company.
I have a hard time with taking to much stuff on just normal trips, but this is my wedding. My fiance will try to keep me on a limit of how many bags. I wanted to do sand buckets as part of our OOT bags instead of the bag, but afraid they will take up to much room. My common ground(fiance) will remind of this as I start buying stuff. Hopefully!!
After reserving your wedding date and booking your room how long did you have to wait for information on the wedding to start planning? Price list, centerpieces, bouquets, DJ, etc...
We are staying 11 nights and it was stated on our invitations our travel dates and honeymoon plans. We plan on spending the first portion and 2 days after the wedding with our guest and then having our honeymoon time the last 5 days. All of my guest have seemed ok with it they were all planning to come before and only stay 4 to 5 nights.
I'm hoping we can have seperate rooms the night before, but with our wedding package it all depends on occupancy of the resort. We will see each other before the wedding for photos, but I still think the big reveal will be good even if its not walking down the aisle. Keeping fingers crossed for an available room for him the night before.
