  1. Ladies, I found this on another forum and am totally using it in my OOT bags- a little handout of common Spanish phrases & translations- instead of getting a Spanish for Dummies or something. PM me if you're unable to open the attachment Kristen American_Spanish_Phrases-USL.pdf
  2. I found this online: 48" diameter seats 6 60" diameter seats 10 max So I think 54" would be good for a max of 8, which is what we are doing, if that helps.
  3. Hey Shannon, Where did you find the little baggies? Thanks Kristen
  4. Hi Ashley, What items do you have left? I am interested in the DND signs, and wrist coils/badges - shipping to Ontario Thanks! Kristen
  5. we won!!! THANK YOU Dana!!! Kristen ♥
  6. Just an addition here- for CANADIANS, I just checked this: http://embamex.sre.gob.mx/canada_eng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1241% Canadian nationals must present a valid passport to prove their nationality. Mexican authorities do not require a minimum period of validity of passports; nevertheless, this document must be valid at the time of entry and during the period you wish to be in Mexico.
  7. Hi Ladies, I don't know if you've all seen this, but Pilar sent me a great doc that shows floorplans, measurements for all the locations, I have attached it here. If you can't open attachments, send me an email and I will gladly forward it on NOW JADE DINNER LOCATIONS.pdf
  8. Lindsay Green! THANK YOU! This is wonderful and contains SO much useful info- the passport thing makes me nervous, I better send this out to our guests, just in case.... Cheers, Kristen
  9. Ladies, I never do this, but it's coming down to crunch time and I would LOVE your help! My FI and I entered a contest to win a free wedding photoshoot for our AHR and we are only 2-3 votes behind winning- at 11:59PM EST, the pic with the most LIKES wins the shoot! If any of you have a Facebook account and wouldn't mind taking a quick minute, please click on my pic and "like" it. It would mean the world to me!!! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=527799877242415&set=a.527528377269565.112302.309759869046418&type=1&theater

  11. We ended up paying $1625pp incl. tax & transfers...we got a one-time price reduction of $150.00 for a max of 4 ppl, which really sucked, b/c we were misled into thinking everyone would get that. FI and I ended up having enough ppl book that our trip, along with our DD was free, so we kicked in $500 to each of our parents to help them out. It's so hard to know whether to gamble and wait to watch prices, or to lock in when it seems most reasonable!
  12. Do you mean the planning guide? She sent me a ton of pics as well, if you want to DM me your email, I can send to you? Kristen
  13. Depending on the travel agency....we booked w Air Canada Vacations and their pymt timeline was crazy. We all paid deposits last April, and final pymt was due 6 mths prior to departure date, ppl had to fork out the rest a week before Christmas! On the other hand, now we're all paid up, but still..... We only put our travel agent info on our website.
  14. Chantal, if you are interested in selling some of your chair sashes, I'd be interested in 42 of them, or if you want to round it up to 50 or something, I'd definitely be ok with that, since 42 is an awkward # . If so, maybe we can talk
  15. Polar quoted a cost of $150 just to have a podium/mic in the bamboo room....did this apply to you, or had you heard anything about that?
  16. that's a good quesiton, I don't even know! ah, just as long as we have somewhere to go, I don't really care
  17. We are paying (hopefully not charged LOL) fo ran extra hour to extend our reception to 11pm. Our timeline goes: 4:00 ceremony 5:00 cocktail hour- there will be a longer break here because we really didnt want our reception to end at 9pm- this way people can mingle, go back to their room ,change, whatever- and then we get more time for pics! 7:00 dinner (typically to 10pm, but we are extending to 11pm) Since we're doing it on a Saturday, I think we'll prob head to the disco afterwards ))
  18. Does the Dj also act as an MC for the reception? We want to swap out our live music for the DJ, but are wondering if we need to recruit one of our friends to MC for us LOL!
  19. What resort did you guys choose for your honeymoon? We are moving over to the new Paradisus La Perla, I wonder how far from the Jade it is!? The flower medallions on the pergola- can those be used as decor at the reception, or do they look funny laying down? Your pic looks exactly how I envision mine, less the purple! Congratulations! ))
  20. Pilar told us no charge for a signature drink and the planning form actually asks the question, and wants you to detail what your drink is.
