Thanks so much. These photos were actually just taken by one of the basic photographers on the resort. He was just a young guy in flip flops, but I am happy with how the photos turned out. It was nice to be able to get them taken when the engagement was so fresh as well.

I bought my beads at Michaels. One thing that helped with the cost though is that they often have pre-made bracelets/necklaces for sale for a few bucks that had nice colours in them. So I bought a few of those and just used the beads. Otherwise they can actually end up being pretty expensive to make. I'd love to see a photo of your's when they're finished!

I agree, when you're having a destination wedding and parents are already paying for their air and accommodation I budgeted myself to pay for the whole thing ourselves. Then everything that is contributed is a great surprise and you don't end up having a more extravagant wedding than you independently would just because it's on someone else's dollar. We lucked out and my Mom has offered to pay for the wedding package and my dress, while my boyfriend's parents pitched in and are paying for a base room for us and my Dad has given us money towards our honeymoon. All of that has really afforded us some financial freedom leading up to the wedding which has been great.
