  1. Have you gotten these yet? How did they turn out if so?
  2. thank you very much for this. I've emailed her again - guess we'll see if I hear back. I also agree that I'd prefer Neysa but my bridesmaids may want the Dreams crew. Super helpful info. thanks!
  3. I'm still waiting to hear from my planner. Hopefully soon. But I know another bride getting married right in between you and I (I'm arriving Nov 18) and she may be interested. She asked if you could post a pic of them? Thanks for flagging. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back but may just work!
  4. FireyNurse - do you mind sharing how much your veil ended up costing? Glad to hear you were happy with it. I'm going to check it out for sure!! thanks for posting.
  5. Mlite83 - did you end up looking more into this seller or finding a veil by chance?
  6. Is this for your rehearsal dinner or wedding reception?
  7. Oooh I hadn't thought about a morning after brunch. We are staying for a full week with our guests (sunday to sunday but getting married on the tuesday) but that might be kind of fun to get everyone togeether. Do you mind sharing what you are planning your for that? Are you inviting everyone from your guest party?
  8. I don't blame you! I would have done the same thing.
  9. Ha. Guys are so funny. You'd think they didn't care at all about most of that stuff. I lugged my dress to the store and tried it on - and I found it really made a difference in knowing what worked. Especially bc my train is so intricate. And the front has detail - we didn't want to take away from that with a busy veil. We went for clean lines and hand cut edge (that being said, I'm trying to replicate it in a cheaper version) but I did think that bringing my dress was helpful.... Good luck!
  10. Oh that's a good call. The lady from the store also sent me the length that I would have ordered so at least that will help with my search. If I get stuck, I may have to just bite the bullet and pay $125 but at least I looked. Amazing how bridal budgets get out of control so quickly It is 60" long simple 1 layer hand cut edge. And yours is beautiful!!!!
  11. Yah they were pricey. Luckily I got my dress on a sample sale!! I asked if their veils ever went on sale and she said no. Is there really a difference between high end veils and cheaper David's ones - if there aren't any crystals or detail? Yours seems to have way more detail for the same price.
  12. Hey Jessica, I'll ask my planner if we need those. Is it bad that I have no idea what charger plates are? (insert sheepish face). I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from her. Hope your planning is going well!
  13. Have any Canadian (or Vancouver) brides found a good place to buy veils? I tried one on at Blush (local store) and it is simple 1 layer hand cut edge that comes to below the bum. It is $125. That seems steep for something so..... simple. Does anyone know anywhere or anyone (good etsy?) that can do that for cheaper? Thanks brides Here is a pic of the veil I liked/tried on.
  14. I just tried on my dress with a veil for the first time. My dress is still held together with pins bc it hasn't been sized yet (November wedding). But thought I would post it with the veil for a true bride picture
  15. My wedding planner gave me a rule of thumb - for beach weddings - make sure your veil hits beneath your bum. Any shorter and it will fly in your face. This isn't my opinion as I haven't gone down to get married yet - so if you disagree, don't shoot the messenger . I'm going to follow the bum rule and thought I should share it in case it is helpful.
  16. Badgley Mischka also has a champagne colour heel that has a bit of bling on the toe. They are stunning and would tie into the sash. Had them at Nordstroms.
  17. I have emailed and written through the website's contact form. Weird. I'll try again... For Neysa, is she coming to the resort or are you going to her? And do you mind sharing how much Neysa is charging (including travel if she is coming ot you)? Also, are you paying for your bridesmaid's hair/make-up? I'm didn't buy their dresses ($200) so feel as though I should pay for hair. What did you do?
