Ladies!! My FI and I were supposed to pay for our 9 nights in full up front which was almost 4000 dollars!! We just (through our TA) asked to pay it in small increments and they let is do that. I am getting married at the Moon Palace June 24, 2012. Planning a destination wedding can be very stressful, but I know it will be well worth it! This website is amazing! I am on it everyday! I was very overwhelmed when I first joined because of all the amazing DIY so many brides were doing! I am having an AHR one month after we get back, so that's where I'm putting most of my "decor" energy into. 1 reason for my DW choice was the breathtaking views and beautiful grounds, and beveryone so happy to be on vacation ....leaves little work for me;) Also if you have a TA to go through, DO IT! I havent had to talk at all to MP. She has done everything and has made it alot less stressful for me. I'm still not quite 3 months out so we shall see how that all goes..... needless to say I don't have high hopes for smooth, efficient communication.

7 Weigh ins since my first meeting and the streak continues! I have lost every weight in! 11.2 pounds so far! Even going over points and drinking. Which is impossible to stop while wedding planning.....and dieting!! Its so stressful I wish wine was free. I would have lost 20 by now

Paloma Blanca Style #4165 It was alot more than I wanted to spend, but I will waer it for my AHR and that makes it right on target! It is so light weight its unbelieveable! I will take out 2 of the 3 layers of crenline.

I hope they give you even better locations than you wanted, the biggest room possible for you and your husband, and the most amazing service they have ever provided anyone with for your entire group!! I am with you, on the DW wedding being stressful! Besides hearing everyones complaints or issues, having the AHR is bascially planning 2 weedings (which people told me) and I said, no "mexico" is the easy part. I cant imagine how you are feeling, you are so close!! I am keeping my fingers crossed they do everything in their power to make it worth your while. Im thinking the best locations, rooms and service they have ever provided...EVER!

I am having a hard time deciding on post-ceremony activities. As of now we have 26 people (including us) staying for 73 nights. I am thinking this will be it. Although, we are still waiting on another couple, who is waiting for a hefty tax refund? We are two nights away from unlimited functions and 7 free nights! But the 2 nights is killing us!! I mean if we stay 2 extra nights, we would get 3 more free and unlimited events???? It is crossing my FI's mind everyday. But I'm not even sure what we would do for the "events"? So we have qualified for a free function and I'm still not sure what I want to do post our 6pm ceremony? Dinner Reservation and a 2 hour private after party?? Or have a 3 hour function with dinner Maybe throw the bartender some cash to stay and save the reservation for another night? We only have a MOH and BM so we wont have a rehearsal or anything? I also want our guests who are mostly staying 4 nights to have their own time... What are the big $$ items for a function? And what other "events" to you have? I don't know why this is giving me such grief???

Ugh Jamie, this is really sad that you are being put in this position. I swear weddings bring out the worst in people! Just know that it will be the best dayand week of your life so far and you and your FI matter the most. Anyone else is a bonus!! For those who cannot or choose not to attend, it is their loss!! I have friends who wanted me to have a DW before I was even engaged! They were 100% on board and now cant come. While Im sad they wont be there...they will miss not being there more than I will miss them. Im sure we will not be thinking of anyone who IS NOT there. They will have to see the pictures and hear the stories, and that will sit with them however they choose, and it will never cross your mind once you are home. Im sure of it!

Thats great! How long did the process take? From ordering to recieving? My FI is not even close to finding a suit for June....I may need to tell his brother and our dads about this site, so they dont lose out on any deals!

Mlite- There is no beach at Aventura. Just a little cove area! It was a major factor in why I didnt choose there. My friend di because it was adults only, and we were going to go to another resort for the beach...but that resort was closed when we went. It was still becautfuil, suer fun and the food was amazing! Keeping my fingers crossed all palace resorts are the same in that way

Ladydi- Everything will be perfect!! I have most definately burned CD's from itunes. I wouldnt know how to do it any other way?? Last year I did it for some people at work. You can definately do it, unless something has changed since then??

I orderd mine Nov 5th. I am excited to have it come in, but I am happy to have more time to drop a size

I totally understand! We chose MP because kids were allowed and basically every family member and friend have kids. Yet, No one is bringing kids Ive been to a DW at the Aventura Spa Palace Resort (now 2- resorts Spa and Cove) It was large, but it gave people a chance to be on their own. My big thing is that this is everyone's vacation too! Most of my guests havent been away since their honeymoons. I didnt want people to feel pressure to eat with thr group or run into the group every day. We expected about 40 people (25 have booked) Ive stayed at big resorts and I like walking, and having more options for dinner and pools and even beaches. Resorts can get small very quickly! Shuttles are available, but Im all for burning the most calories possible while on vavaction

Ok Thats what I thought. We are 5 nights away from qualifying for unlimited functions and I'm not counting on meeting that. but we have 5 people still up in the air? Since we are having the reception back here (with dances and speeches) Im not sure if its worth it to pay for a reception there. I guess we have to figure out costs for everything and make a decision. The costs are the most confusing part!!!!
