Good news about not having to put anything down! We are planning a civil ceremony =) I have heard that alot of people get married at like City Hall or somewhere before they go on their actual Destination Wedding. Does this just make it easier in terms of paperwork when they come back to the states? Sorry if this is a dumb question! haha

Thanks to everyone for all of the information!!!! I sent an email to the weddings@palaceresorts email address so I will wait to see what they say about booking! I am going to start my research for a good travel agent who is familiar with destination weddings =) I am just so ancy about getting started on planning a wedding! haha I hope this next year and a half flies by quickly!!! Hello brides! I am new to this and have been scoping out the "MP 2012 Brides" thread for a while today to try and get some idea on where to begin wedding planning! I am looking to book at MP in May 2013... But i wanted to get a few questions answered before I begin anything... - Who do you use for a travel agent? I have a friend who is a travel agent but she never booked a destination wedding before so i am hesitant on asking her... does the MP provide any travel agents? - Do you know when I can book for a 2013 wedding at MP? Do i have to wait until January 2012 to book? - How much do you have to put down as a deposit at the MP when you book a wedding? (I am planning on doing the complimentary package) Any information would REALLY REALLY help!!!! I know I have plenty of time to plan but I just want to get a jump start on certain things! Thanks

Congrats Nicole! I am also a May 2013 bride!! I wish we could afford to do it sooner but after doing some research I think its best that we hold off until 2013 so that I can really plan!! We are aiming for the Moon Palace in Cancun =) A good friend of mine had her wedding at the Majestic Elegance (unfortunately I could not attend at the time)... but she had an amazing time and had nothing but good things to say about the resort! I wish you the best in your wedding planning!

We have been looking around and absolutely fell in love with the Moon Palace by looking at everyones reviews! Does anyone know when we can start to book a 2013 wedding at the Moon Palace? Here is my ring!! Just got engaged a little over a week ago and I am so excited to finally get started planning my May 2013 wedding! (clearly I have plenty of time!) I have always wanted a 3 stone ring and I am so glad that is what I got! I will probably find a wedding band that matches the channel setting in the ring. And dont mind my nails in this picture! haha This was taken the day I got engaged and I was definitly not prepared!

Just got engaged this past Sunday and I am SO excited to start the planning process! My fiance and I have known for a while that we want to do a destination wedding, so I was basically just patiently waiting for the day he asked me to marry him so I could actually start planning!! So of course I have got NOTHING done at work this week except for looking at different places to have a wedding! My top choice right now is the Moon Palace. I absolutely fell in love wiht it when I started looking at everyone's reviews on this site! So I am really looking forward to using BDW to help plan my May 2013 wedding!
