Hello girls! Looking forward to planning with all of you over the next year!! Would love to hear what kind of planning you have done so far! (such as Save the Dates!)

So I sent out Save the Dates back in May for my wedding in May 2013. I havent really gotten much of a response yet and only a few people have contacted my travel agent. Im not nervous yet because I still have 9 months until the wedding but I was thinking about sending some sort of "reminder" around November with my travel agent's information and stuff on it. Did anyone else do this? And if so, what did you do? Maybe like a post card or something cute?? I just want to remind people that they can contact her and put down a deposit and pay as they go instead of paying all at once!

Hello! I absolutely LOVE everything you have done!! I am just beginning my planning process and I dont even know where to begin! We booked our 2013 wedding this past February and we signed a contract! I saw this post and decided to contact my travel agent just to make sure, and she emailed our onsite coordinator to see if they did away with contracts and this was the response we just received from the coordinator: "What do you mean did away with the contract?? Yes her contract is valid, I have both signatures" So im not too sure if they did away with them or not! Maybe they did right after we signed ours?

This dress is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I definitely think you made the right choice!! It will be perfect for a beach wedding and Im sure its going to look great on you! Make sure to update us with pics once you get it fitted!!

We ordered these from MagnetStreet and they were priced pretty good and arrived super quick! I am now in the process of filling them all out and they should be in the mail within the next week! SO excited to have my first wedding task almost completed!

I truely thought that would be the type of dress I would pick and for the same reasons that you stated! Unfortunately the dress did not fit me at ALL like it fits you!!! You looked absolutely stunning!!

Found my dress! Ended up buying the sample because you could not beat the price, so now for the next year I am just going to look at it everyday! (what a tease!) Definitly needs lots of alterations especially since I am only 4'10! But you get the idea! Never in a million years did i think i would wear this type of dress on my wedding day but I fell in love with the lace and how simple and lightweight it is! This is a random questions, but I thought I remember reading this somewhere along the way.... Is there a dress code for guests during the wedding at Moon Palace? For some reason i thought i read that guys couldnt wear shorts...

I was actually just talking to my fiance about this over the weekend! For his guys hes either gunna do a nice pair of sunglasses for each of them (like Oakleys or something along those lines!) OR hes going to take them all on an excursion when we get there!! Just some ideas for you!

Just booked my wedding at MP for May 31st, 2013! The contract I signed has the $1500 resort credit included in it so I am going to make sure they honor it!

Yay! More Moon Palace 2013 Brides!! I got engaged this past September and have been stalking this site like crazy ever since! My TA has been in touch with Moon Palace and I have a tentative wedding date of May 31st, 2013!! We were told we need to pay for the bride&groom room in full in order to confirm our date so we will be doing that in the next few weeks (when we get our taxes back! haha) CANT WAIT!!!! Hi amstapleton! I am a Moon Palace May 2013 bride! I have been following this forum since I got engaged this past September and have found SO much information! Please check out the "Moon Palace 2012 Brides" thread as there is ALOT of useful information on there! I have decided to go with the complimentary package because I like the idea of being able to add things. (i have heard that when you pick another package, you can not add or change anything) I also will most likely go with the Smile Market Photography that the resort offers. Due to their new policy of no outside vendors, I am not sure if you can bring in another photographer or not unless you pay for them to stay at the resort for a certain amount of nights. Thats pretty much all i have planned for now! Our next step is to figure out which part of the resort we want to stay in so our travel agent can block off rooms for us.(Leaning towards the Sunset side!) Good Luck with Planning!! I have heard nothing but good things about this resort!

Hi girls! Just booked my wedding for 2013 and they sent me some information regarding the resort credits. I noticed that the "complimentary package" was not listed as one of the packages the 1500 credits are applicable for. Is this true? Is anyone else doing the complimentary package and still receiving the credits? Thanks in advance =)

Thanks for the advice everyone! After much thought I think I am going to stick with my original dream wedding at the Moon Palace =) Its a little more pricey than we had planned but i think it will be worth it!

Hello all! I have been engaged for 3 months and I have had my heart set on getting married at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun Mexico. My travel agent just forwarded me the prices for the resort and they are WAY over my budget! (in the cheapest room its $192 per PERSON per NIGHT...seems a little crazy to me!) So I was wondering if someone could recommend something to me! The reason we are doing a destination wedding is to save some costs and also to have our closest friends and family travel together! I just couldnt dare ask them to spend that much on our wedding. We would like to go to Mexico and Cancun is our number 1 choice! So ANY information would honestly be soooo appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I jsut want to know how you went about the booking process! I saw on the website that I can put in a request for a specific date and time. Is that how everyone here did it? Or should I email someone specific? Any info would be amazing!!! I cant wait to book a date and start planning!!!!
