I would definitely fight this!! I just looked back at the document I received a while back regarding all the Colin Cowie packages and theres a page in the document which lists the Wedding Group Benefits and this is exactly how its worded: 25 + rooms or 75 room nights = 7 complimentary nights + unlimited private functions + 1 room upgrade for the bride and groom to the next available room category (Subject to space and availability of the resort) I wonder if that's where they got the "25" from? However this document clearly states that its 25 rooms OR 75 room nights!! -
Have you dealt with an offsite coordinator at all? I was assigned an offsite coordinator about 8 months before my wedding and then I didn't switch over to my onsite coordinator until a month before my wedding date. Since you are two months out it wouldn't hurt to start asking to speak with someone!!

We stayed in the Sunrise section of the resort and loved it! My parents stayed in Nizuc because my dad is handicap (a little more handicap friendly in that section) and they ALSO loved it! There was a lot of construction around the resort when we were there but it didn't bother us at all. You are getting married in 5 days!!!! Just put all of your worries aside until you get there and see everything for yourself!

Try not to panic!! I totally understand the extra charges... maybe you could consider extending for one hour and then having everyone go to the disco after that to continue the party? This could cut down on some unexpected costs! We never got to go to Los Caporales while we were there mainly because they have a dress code and our guests had on flip flops most of the time haha But I would HIGHLY recommend Arrecifes if you need to pick a new place for the welcome dinner!! Its right next to Los Caporales off of the Nizuc lobby.

They did charge me extra! Only 2 hours were included for us so we extended ours an extra 2 hours as well. They charge $60 per table per hour. We had 5 tables so we ended up paying an extra $600 to extend our reception. I noticed your leaving REAL soon!! Have they not sent you a purchase order yet?

Ugh... YES! I used my debit card and was charged the international fee from my bank! Not sure if credit cards do the same? But I'm pretty sure most banks do if you use your debit.

The Italian buffet was SO good!! I literally ate a little bit of everything on my wedding night and loved it all! My guests enjoyed it as well! There is something on the menu for everyone!

Not sure if you girls have any Vera Bradley outlets near you but I purchased these bags on Black Friday weekend last year and the entire store is 40% off all weekend! It was definitely worth the hour trip for me and the crazy line!

Almost forgot! Also for my bridesmaids: Cover-ups! We used these to get ready in the day of the wedding!

Thought I would post pictures of what we got for the Bridal Party since they all loved their gifts!! Unfortunately I didn't take any actual pictures of their gifts before wrapping them up and giving them out. Bridesmaids each got: Vera Bradley weekender bag- They all used this as their carry on! (Got each of them a different pattern!) Tote bag personalized with their name on it (some used it as a beach bag!) These were from Etsy seller PersonalizedGiftsbyJ who was great to work with! I got these for the MOB's as well! Also got them each flip flops and their wedding jewelry! (Necklace & earrings) For my sister (my MOH) I gave her a necklace that belonged to my grandmother who passed a few years back. She loved wearing BIG jewelry and the colors of the necklace matched my wedding perfectly! The groomsmen each got: Oakley Sunglasses! They were the flak jacket style. They looked SO good on each of them! (These also looked great in wedding pictures!)

Hi Stacy! I was just there at the end of May through the beginning week of June. Here are some pictures of the seaweed that everyone is referring to: I honestly thought I would be SO mad about the seaweed but it didn't bother us one bit!!! This may be because we live in New England and ALL of our beaches have seaweed lol But I still thought our pictures came out fabulous and would highly recommend having a wedding at Moon!
