  1. They look awesome!! What a bummer about the stamps, but it looks like you found a fix! Great colors, btw!
  2. Jane - I actually made the wedding survival kit topper! I borrowed the image of the beach chair & trees from vista print since I used it on all my vista print items. But the topper was made separately. I attached my template on my original post for the topper it was done in PowerPoint, if that helps! Then I just printed them on card stock, scored it so it would fold neatly, then stapled them to the sandwich bags I used.
  3. Thanks ladies for all the compliments!!! I'm glad everyone is liking them! MsFoxxy - thanks so much for sharing that with all the ladies trying to get the coupons!! Selina, thank you so much! I definitely got all of my VistaPrint wisdom from your posts, so thank you! Haha. Oh btw, your wedding pics look gorgeous!!!! And I checked out your new website, good luck with the business!!! Thanks taegan! I'm so sorry they don't ship to Canada, thats a real bummer!
  4. Thanks!! No, I used a template to make it, but I did borrow the image (beach chair/palm tree) from all my other personalized stuff I made on VistaPrint!
  5. Scooter - I'm sorry it's giving you problems! Unfortunately those were the only coupons I used. I know another bride was contacting J&J to see if they could help. Hopefully she gets a good response!!
  6. Scooter - All I did was order the paper from VistaPrint that I'm going to print my welcome letter on. So its up to me to figure out the wording lol. Seriously, in VistaPrint there is sooooooo much you can do. Really take time to just play, and you'll start to figure out how its done, I promise! Here's what my welcome letter paper looks like, just so you can see. Then I'll figure out the layout of the letter before I print on it!
  7. I got the palm tree & chairs through VistaPrint! If you are on their page and search "beach", it should give you like 19 pages of results... I wanna say its somewhere around page 14. Hope that helps!!
  8. Thanks ladies, I really did enjoy putting them together! Nancya - feel free to steal it! I stole it from another bride myself! haha
  9. Thanks everyone!!!! I definitely wanted to include as much info as I could because those were the posts I found most helpful when I was looking. MsFoxxy, I hope they help you so you can use the coupons! And thanks for adding the coupon for the Tums for everyone else! Wish I would have found that too!
  10. Hi ladies!!! I think I finally finished my OOT bags!! I attached a ton of pictures. My bag is in the back, a little hard to see lol. I LOVED using VistaPrint to help me fill my bag. I got TONS of freebies, thanks to the advice of several other brides on here. In most cases, the only cost was shipping. And here's a trick I learned from another bride (anudrum)... If you have to make multiple orders to get several freebies, you can select "slow shipping" for every order, but if you pick the fast shipping for one order, all orders will ship with the fast shipping! It wasn't an issue for me since I still have til April for my wedding. But one order, the fast shipping was only $0.20 more than slow, so I tried it out, and sure enough I got my two slow orders with the fast order! Also, for VistaPrint, the trick to get the really good deal emails is to create something on their website, but only add it to your portfolio, don't checkout. Usually within a few days I always got an email offering me 30-50% off, plus a list of freebies! If you start early, you can keep getting one or two freebies of each item on every order. Also, pay attention to GroupOn - I got a $60 voucher for $15 at VistaPrint!!! Ok that's enough advertising for VistaPrint lol. Here's what I have included in each bag: -Harriton Tote Bag...($4.66/each shirtsinbulk.com, free shipping, 5% off coupon code on retailmenot.com) -2 Tshirts...($4.74/each on VistaPrint) -Labels tied to Tshirts....($2.99/24 labels) -2 Bottles of Water....($0.17 each, $4/case of 24) -Wedding Survival Kit....($3.87/bag - breakdown below) -First Aid Kit...($0.22/each with coupons at Walmart, labels FREE at VistaPrint)) -Notepad & Pen Set....(VistaPrint - got free pen & notepad on each order) -Flip Flop Luggage Tag...($2.08/each - $24.99/12pack at Target.com) -Crossword Book...($0.97/each at Walmart) -Magnet...(FREE at VistaPrint - only paid shipping) -Flip Flop Keychain, comes in multiple colors...($0.28/each - $3.39/12pack on eBay) -Business Card Bag Tag, under keychain...(FREE at VistaPrint, only paid shipping) -Welcome Letter...(FREE at VistaPrint - only paid shipping) -Postcard w/ picture info....(FREE at VistaPrint - only paid shipping) Without including the shipping costs at VistaPrint, each bag ends up being just over $21. I'm only making 11 OOT bags, as I'm having a small guest list, so I was definitely happy with that! Here's some individuals of what I have included! First is the bag (probably going to use tissue paper to fill it in): Here's the Tshirts: Next, is my Wedding Survival Kit (template for the topper is at the bottom of this post!!): What I included in the Survival Kit: -Pack of tissues....(4pack for $1.00 at Target) -Hand Sanitizer....($0.33/each at BigLots) -Shout wipes....(12pack for $2.89 at Target) -WetOnes wipes....(10pack for $1.00 at BigLots) -Chapstick....(2pack for $0.88 at Walmart) -Small pack of gum....(4pack for $1.00 at BigLots) -Roll of Tums....(3pack for $1.92 at Walmart) -Blister Pack of Advil....(3pack for $1.00 at Dollar Tree) -Blister Pack of Tylenol....(3pack for $1.00 at Dollar Tree) -4 Crystal Light single use....(44pack for $5.00 at BigLots) -A few lifesavers ($1.25/bag at Target = $0.03/piece) -A few coughdrops ($0.88/bag at Walmart = $0.02/piece) *****Total Cost of Survival Kit: $3.87/bag***** Next is the luggage tag, keychain, first aid kit: *Important info for getting the First Aid Kits so cheap!! They are $0.97/each at Walmart, but with coupons, you can get them for $0.22/each! Total thanks to asiamarie1 for giving me this awesome info. Here's what you need to do to get the price: Go to the jnjredcross.com site. Then click on special offers. It will take you to the page that shows to coupons. Print the one for 1.50 of 2 johnson and johnson products. The picture doesn't show the first aid kits but you can use the coupon on them. Remember that it will only allow you to print the coupon 2x per computer. So i just had friends and family print me coupons so I could buy enough. Some of my VistaPrint Goodies: I'm so excited they are finally done. I have the paper for the welcome letter, that we haven't actually printed yet. Haven't decided exactly what we're putting on it yet, but we have a little time to figure that out. I want to share the template for the survival kit topper for those of you that may want it as well!! Survival Kit Topper - Powerpoint.pptx
  11. Ok ladies, first off thanks for all the pictures and reviews!! I think we're definitely going to get a suit. First, I was wondering how many brides did just the Suit Jacket/Pants & Shirt? No tie or vest? I was trying to go for a "casual, beachy" look. Second, do any ladies by chance have the swatches for the Pure Linen that they don't need anymore? I'd be happy to buy them off you!! Thanks in advance!
  12. Shan - it's actually easier than you think! Here's what you want to do... first, only search "skinny". You should see Skinny Jeans in the search results. When you actually download the font, it will give you the "solid" option as well - you get two font styles with this one. Now, to download here's what you want to do: 1. Click on the download button on the right hand side 2. When it prompts you, select SAVE instead of open 3. Then open the downloads folder 4. Open the font name 5. Then right click, select install (select install for both font styles) Voila! It should automatically show up in your Word options after you follow these steps!! (Oh, and just in case, make sure you are using the actual DaFont search bar, I found my self too many times typing in the advertisement's search bar and I could never find the one I was looking for either) Hope that helps!!!
  13. Haha thanks! My kitten was only about 6 weeks old in that picture, I didn't even realize he was there until I uploaded my picture lol. For the corner area... I originally got the xacto knife for that, but I didn't really feel like I had as much control with it. I ended up using scissors and just being careful lol
  14. Omgosh, yes! So sorry, I forgot all about the objects! The palm trees are the letter h in "wmtrees1" and the starfish are the letter y in "wmaquatics1" (also on dafont.com)
  15. As promised, here are my templates!! Since I had so many versions and edits, my final invitation version is 2 pages, the RSVP card ended up being first with the other 3 passes on the second page. I kept my ticket jacket plain and simple, but I did print the ticket jacket template out on my metallic pink cardstock - it was a VERY light tracing, but it really helped me when it came to scoring and trimming. I included both the Word version of the template for those who what to customize, as well as the PDF version ready to go if you just want to do it the way I did. Just a reminder again, I downloaded the fonts from www.dafont.com and these were the ones I used: - {skinny} jeans solid - Felix Titling - Jellyka Delicious Cake FINAL Boarding Pass Invitation Template.docx Boarding Pass Ticket Jacket - PDF.pdf Boarding Pass Ticket Jacket - PowerPoint.ppt
  16. Hi Ladies!!! First and foremost, I want to say thank you to all the helpful brides on here. Three months ago, I just started to imagine how I could even do this, and I think I amazed myself. With the inspiration of many other invitations, and the advice of tons more, I finally finished my own boarding pass invitations. I downloaded a ton of bride's templates to get a feel for what I wanted. I tried even starting from scratch with ayleebit's template, but I was stumped. I'm going to thank the following brides (and I'm sorry if I may have left anyone out) for the opportunity to use their template and mold it the way I wanted: Starfish0512, jb1013, Jamie5280, JoanneIreland, torilynnsmith, and more!! I'm including a TON of pictures, in hopes that I can pass on some inspiration as well. First, are the tools I used for cutting... I tried to take pictures all along the way, so I'll let you know some stuff I ended up not using. I can't tell you how excited I was to be able to post this thread, so hopefully I have included all the information I can think of. If there's anything you want to know, please ask!!! Well... here goes... As you can see, my kitten was quite helpful in this process! Haha. I used a Fiskars rotary trimmer board, "F" series. I got a perforated blade to use with it also (ended up returning the one in the picture by Recollections). The corners punch was a life saver, made my edges perfectly round! I ended up using regular scissors to trim out the "v" section of the boarding pass, much easier than trying to use the X-acto knife. On the right, I got the Martha Stewart starfish punch, as well as a marker tipped glue pen, both for the ticket jacket. My Cost Breakdown: Fiskar's Rotary Trimmer/Michaels - $38.99, 30% & 20% = Final: $22.40 Fiskar's Perforated Blade "F" Series/Michaels - $7.99 M Stewart Starfish Punch/Michaels - Clearance Price = $9.09 M Stewart FineTip Glue Pen/Michaels - $2.99 - 50% coupon = $1.49 Corners Corner Round Punch/Michaels - $7.99 - 20% coupon = $6.39 Ok... here's the invitations!!!! Below all the invitation pictures are the details on the fonts, papers, envelopes, etc. Ok so for all the details!!! Paper & Other Products: Boarding Passes - Crystal Metallic Cardstock, $7.25/pack of 25, www.cardsandpockets.com Ticket Jacket - Azalea Metallic Cardstock, $7.25/pack of 25, www.cardsandpockets.com RSVP Envelope - Black - Size 4 Bar, $7.99/50, www.paperandmore.com Outer Envelope - Silver Metallic - Size #10, $10.99/50, www.paperandmore.com Star Brad (holding 4 passes together) - $1.39/50, Joann Fabrics Ribbon (black & silver) - $0.50/spool, Michaels **By the way, I ended up putting another line of perforation on the RSVP card. After everything, the RSVP envelopes were just not wide enough. Instead of making my guests have to trim some off (or worse, fold it!) to send it back, I made the second line of perforation just off the right edge of the silver starfish. I thought it would look weird, but it really doesn't at all. So those of you using this idea with that RSVP sized envelope, move your perforation over! Fonts on the Invitation: - {skinny} jeans solid - Felix Titling - Jellyka Delicious Cake ***I got my invitations printed at FedEx Office... word to the wise!!! If you get them printed there and you use special fonts, save it as a PDF file, other wise they will not print the way you see it. I credit amybermuda for this fact, because I would have wasted a ton of paper without that tip! Also, the metallic cardstock I used had to be fed basically one sheet at a time - a couple pages were ruined because the printer would jam or try to pull through two pieces at a time because they were so thick. So maybe warn them they need to go one at a time, if they're patient enough!
  17. This is absolutely amazing! Your wedding was gorgeous, as were you! And all your details were just simply awesome! I think you absolutely should have orders pouring in, you definitely did professional level work, and I'm now thinking about all kinds of aspects of the wedding I never even considered. Again, fantastic job!!!
  18. Great job! Your step by step was a great help! I'm using fuchsia as well, and this was a great visual. I also got the fiskars rotary trimmer at michaels... It's just sitting here waiting for when I finally can complete my info and order my paper. Again, fantastic job!!
