Can I ask what day you are requesting? I'm asking because I received an email from Mayte the other day to confirm my date and she said there was another bride who was interested in it. I know that she can take a bit of time to respond to emails and she had said that she had let the other bride know and she took the day after my date, but I just saw your post and wondered if it might be you. I know that if I was still waiting to hear about the date I want, I'd want to know right away!

Hi Rob, I've never been to Punta Cana, so I'll start off by saying that! Picking a resort can be a tough process, especially if you haven't been there. Having the wedding at the Jellyfish though makes things easier because you don't necessarily have to find the perfect wedding resort and vacation resort! We have chosen the Majestic Elegance and since then I've heard lots of our guests tell us that they know people who have stayed there and loved it. I just met a friend of a friend and she and her hubby went on a trip to PC the year before their wedding and toured a bunch of resorts and settled on ME and they all loved it. My sister's MIL just went to a wedding at the Majestic Colonial too and said it was great. So we're feeling pretty good about our choice at the moment! There are lots of great resorts out there though - good luck with the choice! Oh, we've got between 60 and 80 guests coming and a handful of kids too.

The local bar option is just one of the levels of open bar and refers to the brands of alcohol available. There is a local, international, or premium option.

I know Ethos in Calgary! I live in Vancouver now though. Glad you had a great experience with them!

Were you able to get anything cleared up about the pricing in your invoice? Soon we'll have a better idea of our guest count and then we can make our final decision about having the wedding and/or reception at the resort or the jellyfish (we'd prefer the jellyfish!) so I'm interested in their pricing details.
