that was tucan terrace but that and venado are pretty much exactly the same gorgeous ocean front terrace. u can't go wrong with either one. i had my ceremony at tucan gazebo and they were right next to each other on the grand side. they are both breathtaking pick the one closer to ur ceremony

We only had one friend that came and he spent a fortune as he brought his whole family but I am blessed to have an awesome family and my brother and sister and their families and my aunts that I adore came and we all had an amzing time. When you decide to do a destination wedding you have to be prepared for the possibility that people won't/can't join you. Maybe you can have a dinner or cocktail party for your friends at home. try not to take it so personally I have said no to a few destination weddings of friends because i get one vacation a year and it is going to be to the place I want to go and I understood that when I made my plans. Don't get me wrong I was very disappointed that none of our friends came and I did think once or twice how much this one or that one would love this but I had my wedding exactly where I wanted and married the man of my dreams and that is the best part. I understand your disappointment and it really does suck because there isn't anything we can do but try to enjoy the important people that are coming and remember who your friends are

I actually ordered twice lol and i was so mad but when they came they were so nice and they really kept me and my guests warm. I wanted to do my wedding colors of light pink and fuschia and have them at my ceremony but i thought that it would be more useful (since my wedding was Friday and we would have almost been there a week already) to get them colors they could use. i thought black and cream would be the most useful and evertone was bartering lol. I gave my mom both of course lol and myself. They were really great quality and not at all like the few I picked up on canal street that were more like scarves. Speckles u can email me anytime I would love to save my girls any time possible. you know I am a serious shopper so I did my research on these and i did find a place with better prices but the pashminas weren't comparable.

lol I know I just paid the shipping because by the time I would drive to the city and pay parking not to mention my time it still worked out to less than $5 a pashmina and for a nice big one not those skimpy scarves it was worth it

I got my pashminas from http://www.firstwholesale.com/shopping_cart They were $4 each and i got cream and black and they were the biggest hit. everyone loved them. The shipping is a little expensive but you can pick them up if you are in the new york area. the quality is awesome and they are huge and they say pashmina on them. I recommend them highly.

chipmunk: the dress was a breeze. they put it through the xray and they hung it for me in the closet on the plane and i didn't even need to get it pressed. steamed it a little bit and it was great. great job- love those OOT bags. My dear friend COCO- u inspired everyone on this thread and were always there with words of wisdom and encouragement and the best advice. I will never forget you and really hope we get together. I can not wait to see your pics because I know your wedding is going to be magnificent and classy just like you xoxo. There is NO extra set up fees for outside terraces unless they are on roof tops and are hard to access. Tucan and venado terrace do NOT require any extra fees- carribean terrace does.

Good that is what I thought. So you really don't need more than that.

you have 40 - 50 people so maybe you do need 2 speakers. I only had 30 and the one speaker was more than enough

no deposit it comes on your bill with Moon palace they just want you to sign a quote with them. But you see how yours says audio package 2- you got 2 speakers and if you are in Tucan or probably anywhere you absolutely do not need anything more than audio package 1. You could hear it from far away. so if audio package 2 is 330 than audio package 1 is probably still about the same 230 I was quoted in November.

I am not really sure who is quoting you guys but here is the brochure from 2011 and audio package 1 clearly states 4 hours. Maybe the prices have gone up but miroslava was excellent to work with and maybe you can see if they can honor the brochure or something? PSAV_-_Wedding_Packages_2011 (2).pdf

ask your WC but you have plenty of time and when I was there my WC showed me a memo about new cheap reception decorations so they don't have to be bothered with all the stuff we bring lol. It was going to be 50- 100 a table or something. ask them about it they will have info soon. she showed me that because she wanted me to see the memo about the new set up fees which really are 100 per table and 200 for the reception...ridiculous from 65 for everything lol. That is exactly where I was and it is so gorgeous. you are going to love it! The extra hour is 60 a table I did it myself but if you aren't having pictures you should probably just do a 3 hour reception. i had the cocktail right in between the tucan gazebo and tucan terrace so it worked for me because i was doing pictures and i wouldn't want to miss my reception lol. i did get 10 per table and I had 28 so it was 3 tables and cost me 180 to extend the 2 hour reception to 3. but the cocktail hour is boring anyway lol and no one really like anything except the pizzas i added lmao. just skip it - i think. put the 240 for extending the 4 tables to the PSAV it is worth it. my ceremony was at 4 and cocktail at 5 and reception 6-9 i don't think they let you do parties after 10 anyway so have your reception 7-10. email PSAV and never believe anything you read on the websites lol. email the vendors directly or your wc they change their prices whenever they feel like it lol. if you want my emails with them with the prices just email me [email protected]. I originally was just doing one location also. i loved sunrise and when i was there it was pretty empty during the week so if we got to the restaraunt when it opened i got us tables together but it was hard if we weren't there when it opened and we had to split up. The chinese place in sunrise lobby monohana is GREAT but not really that fancy. In sunrise you only have the 2 buffets and monohana in the lobby but there is a steakhouse and seafood place outside in the pool area. i did a big dinner one night at the steakhouse and it was pretty good. If i was having unlimited functions there is a nice area at Los Tacos which is by the grand section. it is all lit up at night and you can have a buffet there. but any of the terraces are beautiful and you can have something set up at any of them. nizuc has arrecifies where i had my welcome dinner and a lot of people like the food there it is a brazilian steakhouse and once u are at nizuc they seem to have a lot going on in their lobby and they have a place to sit and have dessert and coofee or espresso. the carribean restaraunt is beautiful and overlooks the ocean also at the grand side. i don't know much about the private functions because i had only one lol but i think any terrace would be gorgeous and they give you the same buffet food no matter where you have it. oh yea the italian restaraunt Traitorria had great food also -it's at the golfcourse though and there were bugs and the only way there is a golfcart but they do have big ones and they come regularly but the other sections there is a big bus every few minutes

I know your pain lol. everytime i heard a song for months i was texting it to myself and running home to download and try to decide where to put it lmao. good luck okay first of all make sure with your WC that on your wedding day you can't have a cocktail hour and a 3 hour reception- they might make an exception. there is no "tipping" to make them stay because the WC is there the whole time and she will have to extend it. If they won't than another option is to have the cocktail hour and than have a 2 hour reception extending it an extra hour costs $60 a table which depending on how many tables you have might not be that big a deal and than you get everything you want. I was thinking about not doing a cocktail hour and was glad my mother talked me into it because it gives your guests something to do while you are taking pictures. if you aren't taking pictures after the ceremony than I really don't think you need it. What location are u having the reception and how many people. PSAV was great and they have like a little DJ set up. It is worth it if you can do it. Just for one location and there most simple 1 speaker package which is good for up to 45 people i think it was $235 for 4 hours. That really isn't bad. It was worth not worrying about the music at all. as far as the functions they are great but the food sux lol. so look through the buffet menus. if you see food your group will like than have functions because it's private and you can do it in so many places. But i like the restaraunts food better especially the good ones. i didn't go to corporales so I can't say anything about that. but i don't think corporales can make a large party reservation- check on that Anytime. I hope i can help you guys and make it less stressful. i was so stressed planning everything lol.

You get the cocktail for free after you book 30 nights but when you get to 60 nights you get the reception free and instead have to pay for the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour was $600 but the private reception would have been $1,200 plus the $60 a table to extend it an hour. I only paid the $60 a table instead of paying the reception and that is why I paid the cocktail hour. If you get 75 nights you get everything free I was 7 nights short ;(

I tried to get it all in the review but it was a lot lol. I really honestly do not think a DJ is necessary. Maybe if you are having a very large party than you might want to. But I knew exactly what my 30 people would love and I played music that every time a song started they were screaming oh yea remember this one and it was awesome. The technician really just fades in and out and he skipped a few I asked him to and he cues up the first dance songs and cut the cake songs etc but he doesn't speak. I got my adorable 12 year old going on 25 niece to be my MC and she rocked it. The WC would tell her what to say when she needed to like introducing Mr & mrs for their first dance and stuff and it was so cute. I had a table of props like glow stuff and boas and masks so that kept the crowd hopping. I felt like I had a DJ. I really didn't think anything more was necessary and i would have told him what to play anyway lmao. coco thanks mama- u know I loved me some adorae. that fress was magical xoxo.

I also LOVE some of the pics they put on their facebook page and I can't believe I got so much for such a great price. the webcast alone was worth it lmao. guys you should know better of course I would share whatever i have lol. my music is crazy - i have a lot of freestyle and rap- i am a ny girl. I never made a list it is all on my ipod so i will copy it tonight or tomorrow. I wonder if I can copy the playlist from itunes and print it out. I spent months putting together my playlist and i really loved it. It had something for everyone and everyone danced like crazy even the waitstaff was dancing and the ipod technician said he wouldn't change it because it was great dance music. Get it up tomorrow

Oh yeah this is why I love this dress. gorgeous gorgeous. but i will warn you the hair down thing will not work. i wanted my hair down so bad but when u see other people with their hair whipping all over in the videos and while i was there everyone had to put it up. try to find a half up or to the side because then it is all secure. it is so freaking windy.

I wore my dress ALL night. Exactly how I felt! Everyone applauded when I got on the bus, into the lobby and into the swing bar. It was awesome. They give you an hour and a half for hair and an hour for makeup and I took the whole time. My sister's hair took about an hour. depends how much hair you have I guess but leave yourself plenty of time you don't want to stress about that. I made everyone in my family hair appointments and it stressed me out lol. Make sure you confirm all the appointment times you make with Karla when you get there. I made my salon appointments 3 months before my wedding.

so funny I was just coming here to tell you guys that some of my pics were posted. i am so happy so far I really am. And I got so much from them and I was so nervous but I am thrilled so far and I am getting 3 books and tons of pics and video. Thrilled that they came out so cute! One song for the men is more than enough they actrually played my husband's song while I was coming in the horse and carriage which was fine (KC & JOJO All my life). as my little girls got out of the carriage with my maid of honor they did their song which didn't play all the way through (Over the rainbow) and than as I started to walk they put on my song (Michael Buble -crazy love) which was 4 minutes and didn't even play half of. I had another song for the sand ceremony (marry me) which they played for a minute and than a minute for the signing of the papers (a thousand years) and than our processional song (everlasting love). I had way too many songs on my CD but it doesn't matter because she numbers them herself and plays what u want where u want but she played a different song for my signing which was fine but than i heard it switch to the song i requested lol. no one but me noticed anything to do with the music. I had wanted to surprise my husband with crazy love by michael buble his favorite song when i walked down the aisle and he said he was so emotional about seeing me he never noticed the song lol.
