We also hired DJ Doremixx. We have him for 4-5 hours and we also got the "lit up" dance floor ( Cant wait!!) There pricing was great, and they're communication is fast! It was a little confusing when we sent them the deposit...they ended up having us go back a second time because I had put down the wrong first name so if you do decide to hire them watch how you spell the names ha ha. We are going to rent the resorts speaker for the ceremony and use a playlist we made for that part.

WINNERS!! I totally lucked out and found 5 bags at homesense in edmonton, they had the big starfish and the small ones as well. And then my mom found 2 bags of miscellanous cream and blue shells at winners in Grande Prairie, definitely check out them out Im sure they will get more. I dont have any more pictures of the stuff I got however I got the burlap garland (table runners for me ha ha) at Michaels and I ordered my lanterns from ebay.

The rustic feeling is exactly what I was going for Im happy I found this post! I used a lot of merchandise from Morgann Hill designs off of etsy, they are perfect for the rustic feel. Heres what I used: Im also using burlap table runners, paper lanters, beachwood garland, and just last weekend I scored and found 5 bags of the big finger point starish's (which are nearly impossible to find in alberta canada!!!) and 3 bags of small starfish that I am using for seating names. For the ceremony pamphlets I am gluing burlap squares on cream paper then stencilling our initials on the front in pearly cream paint, menu cards will be similar but I am trying to find lace for the trim. Our center pieces our going to be medium sized pomander balls on top of vases that are filled with pearly conch shells. Our wedding colors are burnt orange and aqua blue, so half of our lanterns are small orange and medium blue, the rest white and we are stil deciding if we want blue or orange chair sashes or burlap chair sashes. What else is everyone doing?

Poll~ Legal vs. symbolic ceremony?
taegan replied to TammyWright's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We are having a small ceremony for the family that isnt able to come to mexico, they will be about 6 people there and its going to be in my grandmas backyard with a friend of theirs whos a JP. We initially were just going to go down to the courthouse and have the papers signed but once the idea popped into my head that I could give homage to my grandparents and my dad who wont be there in Mexico, it was a done deal. My FI's family isnt overly pleased, they are worried we will feel married before mexico. Im honestly a little worried about that to but hey who doesnt want 2 weddings!! LOL -
I ordered my paper lanterns off of ebay from sunboy_xhang store....they are fantastic. I ordered the 12' white and 8' orange. Thanks Sheena2011 for the heads up, I think I am going to go and double my order to get more. As for LED lights, you can get them any where Ill probably end up getting mine from a store called Jysk or homesense.

I LOVE this hair style, so elegant and pretty. I have spent weeks researching hair extensions and I think I finally found ones that I want to get. Its called Great Lengths extensions, they look phenominal and they can go in the ocean, pool be in the sun and everything but they are a bit more high maintainence.

Hi bride81, Anabel sent back the right measurements which make waaaay more sense ha ha she also sent us the linen catalogue and there wasnt anything I really liked. I think we are going to order our linens from ebay (that makes me very nervous, Ive only purchased lanterns from ebay) but I will keep you updated! Sheena, thank you so much for the information. We had figured there would be a charge for setting up the stuff and we are okay with that...I totally agree with you wanting to just relax and not worry about setting stuff up. I was more worried about the cost of having them lugged to Mexico ha ha. Bibi, we are having ours in the chapel area. It seems to be a bit private (its not 100% though) and it looks like a nice location. Also, another one of my endless questions ha ha I just tried order tote bags from www.cheaptotes.com and it seems they dont ship to canade (even though its an option :S) I checked out Canadian OOT bags and another thread but I didnt see where they have gotten theirs. Has any Canadian brides ordered tote bags online

This thread has been great! I tried to ordr my tote bags off of www.cheaptotes.com but it doesnt look like they ship to Canada....even though it listed as an option :S Where have you ladies gotten your tote bags from? I checked Michaels and they have 3 tote bag packages for about $15.00 which seemed a bit much for just a plain old tote bag.

Hi ladies, I asked Anabel for dimensions for the round tables and here is what she gave me: Length 3.60cm Width- 1.80cm Height- 80cm I think these measurements may have been for the round cocktail tables and I was should have been more specific when I asked for the dimensions. I am hoping to get the measurements for the round reception/dinner tables....would any of you have them? We've been thinking about bringing our own fabric down as well (chair sashes and tables runners) and we are having a hard time figuring out which would be the most cost efficient and time efficient!

So we got our ceremony time and we ended up having to go with noon, I really hope it works out...Ive been told that noon is actually a good time, leaves plenty of time for all the pictures you want plus you can attend the cocktail reception after if you wanted to and you might get a chance to spend sometime with your brand new hubby! Would anyone know of threads with reception idea regarding tables? I searched it but nothing really came up.

Thanks Amjohnson, I sent Natalia an email and she got back to me pretty quick, she said it wasnt available. Has anyone had their ceremony at 12:00? I had wanted it for 2pm but its not available and Natalia said they only have 12:00. Not my first pick but if anyone has had their ceremony that early, how did it go?

I love the color of this bouquet. The hanging amaranthus with the peach colors. I hope the pictures show up!
