Awesome...thanks so much for the information. I will certainly ask that questions again because it certainly was unbelievable. I'll see if I can find the package information for both PSAV and JSAV so I can see what they offer. I just got to find the contact information for them. Thanks so much. And yes, MsHarryWinston, $7 per chair. But, she did say I can have a relative or someone come by before the ceremony and place the items on the chair ourselves. -

So syenfn1218, I had my planning meeting today with Juana. She is nice, but clearly she is new. She had to put me on hold at least 5 times to answer questions I had. But, with just about everything she did not know, she was able to find out most of the information. She did follow up with an email shortly with information that I requested. They are still confirming my locations which I requested all the way back in October, so I am pretty adament that I get the locations I requested because I defintiely put in my request in ample time. And because I wanted a gazebo wedding, I switched my wedding from Cancun Palace to Moon Palace just so I can have that, so its not going to be pretty if they tell me otherwise I did learn some things that may be useful, so here goes: 1. I asked about the restaurants, so attached is a high level menu of all the restaurants. 2. Basically, I have about 42 or so guests, so any private event is going to cost me $1000. That basically covers appetizers and open bar. No decor. I have 61 room nights. If I got to the 75, then all of that would be free. 3. For the cocktail hour, table tops would be provided, but if I wanted any seating, then I would need to purchase through Zuniga 4. I'm getting married in June, so the Colin Cowie collections were supposed to be available, but they can't promise it so now I need to use Zuniga to design the reception. 5. Resort credit cannot be used towards videography or photography. 6. I had a friend that was flying in to DJ for us. So, I was asking for speaker and system rental and they told me I would basically have to pay for the DJ totally to get access to the equipment. So, doesnt make sense for me to fly the DJ out and pay him, and still have to pay the total fee for the DJ. 7. For included bouquet, you can get a combination of lillies and roses in either pink, white, ivory, red, or yellow. 8. The cake flavor options are as follows: Vanilla, strawberry, fruit, marble, carrot cake, cheesecake, or lemon. If ordering a tiered cake, you can mix the tiers. 9. The Marachi band is $550 and the Mexican Trio is $461. 10. If you want them to put anything on the chairs for the ceremony (i.e. fans, programs), they charge a $7 per chair fee. 11. For the ceremony, they will provide a microphone and speakers 12. For the cocktail hour, they are allowing me to create a signature drink to be served there, and will do that when we are on site. I'm still waiting on the script for the sybolic ceremony and the procedure for out of town bags. So, I'll let you know if I find out any more information. Hope this helps! Ok, I think that is WEDDING REST INFO.xls -

Hi syefn1218- I had Beatrice, but never got a chance to have a meeting with her. I am now assigned Juana. We have a meeting scheduled for 12:30pm today to go everything (I'm a little over 60 days out) , so I'll let you know if: 1) The meeting even happens 2) And what I think of Juana. And I do believe that 6pm is a pretty popular time because people are trying to avoid the heat of the day (but mostly for summer weddings). I originally had 6pm, but changed to 5pm at the photographers advice. But, I just came from a Mexican wedding that started at 6pm and we were able to get some great daytime shots, but her sunset shots were amazing. So, I think you might get the best of both worlds with your 6pm time. -

Congrats to all the new brides! How exciting! And just yesterday, I was complaining about not hearing back from MArvin for the flowers. I was just about to email him with the subject line you all suggested, then he popped up in my inbox! He said my email went to spam! So, I quick responded and told him what I was looking for and my wedding date. So, hopefully I will hear back from him soon! Today was my payment deadline date, so I have been chasing guests all day. Its mid-night and the last one just emailed me to say she is going to send her payment. I still have a few stragglers, so I am just praying to hit at least 60 room nights. I'm totally traumatized that I didn't get the 75 room nights :-( But, with all my last minute cancellations, I had to kiss that dream goodbye. I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone knows: 1. If you use Zuniga, you don't have to pay the $200 per table set-up fee, right? 2. Does anyone have anything that tell you what the cake options are. Flavors available, costs, etc. 3. I'm doing an indoor reception (mid June wedding), do you know if they provide a sweetheart table, or will I need to order a special table from Zuniga. 4. I was trying to figure out how much a welcome reception would cost. Do they charge a certain amount per person? I'm actually thinking of just using the Cowell collection for the reception. When I did the numbers, it would really only be about $150 difference. And that is my just guessing on the amount I would spend on centerpieces. SInce my wedding is in June, it should be available. Thanks for any help you all can provide. I don't know what I would do without this website! -

This is my payment due date week, so I have been doing nothing but 'whooosahhh' all week. I was on the brink of tears a couple times this week, but I have yet to let them fall. Trying to stay strong and keep this all in perspective. I just wish all the guests weren't driving me crazy with the indecisiveness! But, I will just move forward as best I can. -

Hmmm...weird. I sent him pictures and everything, but have never heard from him. But, he has such great reviews on this site, I really want to work with him. But, if I can't even reach him, then I'll need an alternative :-( I will try again today! -

Do you have a email address for Marvin for flowers. I tried emailing him a couple of times and have not heard back so I am thinking I have the wrong email address. -

Traumatized!! So, today was my scheduled planning meeting with my Wedding Planner, Beatriz in the Miami Office. We were supposed to meet at 12:30pm today to go over all my questions, book locations, and go over all the wedding details. Well, I didnt hear anything from her and I called the Miami office and they told me she no longer works there!!! What!!! And no one called to reschedule or anything? So, she proceeds to tell me that 'Kalena' is now my wedding planner and she is really a on-site wedding coordinator. And from what I have read on this site about planning with Kalena, I am in for a nightmare!!! Stressed already about this because now I have no one to answer all my questions. I already called Kalena and left a message, and about to send a follow-up email to see when we can discuss, but if anyone has any advice or has worked with Kalena and has some good news....please let me know. Right now, I"m feeling traumatized!! Maybe I should give her a fair chance though.....sigh! My wedding is June 14th, so I am within the 90 day window. -
Hi Ladies- I just wanted to share my journey to invitations! I was so back and forth with everything, but I knew I wanted passport invites. After getting inspired by all the ladies on this forum, I decided to go for it. Since I had to do over 100, I figured I would only do passport invites for the people that I know are coming, then do something simpler for other invited guests. So, I will show you that attempt. In the end, I decided to make passport invites for everyone! It was definitely a labor of love. Attempt#1 - I created these and I liked them, but thought it might be a little too formal: Attempt#2: Then I thought these would be more fun, but I didnt like they way they looked printed. So, in the end, I made the following for eveyone: With some complimentary pieces documents: 1. RSVP card that I made with cardstock and had some purple paper from papers and more to do the purple ribbon header. 2. Registry Info. Just made this with regular cardstock in Word. My logo came from Aylee 3. The business card is a card with the photoshare info. I created a free photoshare website on shutterfly, so this business card has the info for that. I got the business card free from Vistaprint. Just had to pay shipping. 4. The passport are from Aylee templates (only $10). The paper came from Joanne's fabric. The prices for the paper ranged from 4/$1 or $3/1 (so for .25 or .33 I was able to create 2 passport covers). I would wait until there was a sale and buy all of that purple color they had. And I also bought some of the white paper since that was nice as well. So, I did like 25% white, then the rest in purple. I printed them on my home computer and the cardstock came from some I had at home (probably from office depot) and the other half I ordered from papers and more (which I love). I had to purchase a paper cutter to do all this (what the background of the pic is). It was $39.99 in Office depot. I originally bought a smaller one from Joanne's fabric, but this one was 100 times easier. I have not calculated total cost, but probably spent $60 on ink, $20 in paper, and $30 for envelopes (I ended up printing the addresses on them one by one in my printer), and $40 in supplies. The paper and supplies I get to reuse and that includes all of these items and not just them invites. I ended up making about 115-120 of these! Yikes! I also had the following RSVP until I ran out. These I got free from Vistaprint for 100 of them. After I ran out of these, I made the RSVP card you see pictured above. Hope that helps someone! I'm not creative at all, but I somehow did this from all the wonderful advice from this forum! So, thank all the ladies for sharing!

This is such an awesome thread! Thanks to those that have shared! I am on vista print now looking at specials, so I might b doing these welcome letters now! Thanks again ladies!

You did an awesome job! I love them. I am doing passport invites and am kind of torn about the packaging. At first I bought just the small envelopes to just put the passports in. But now I see that I lot of people get the pocketfolds, then put the passport in the pocketfold, then an envelope. The only thing with the passport size pocketfolds is that it would have this blank base page that would normally contain the invitation. So, now I am wondering if I should do the extra work of getting the pocketfolds, taking the 'invitation' part out of the passport, and creating a new 'invitation' on the base page. Sigh....more than I bargained for, but might be better. What do you ladies think? This is all DIY, but I did find the pocketfold envelopes on papersandmore.com for $41.99 for 50. So, I think its worth it because I looked up how to pocketfolds yourself, but looks like a ton of work! lol! Here is a sample of the pocketfold I was talking about (not my design, I just pulled a sample from google). But, instead of all the inserts, I would just put the passport which contains all that info. Can I get away with just the envelope, or should I really put the passport in the pocketfold? I
