I really want that lighted dance floor too. Can anyone share wtih me the current rate of their inhouse DJ or a DJ you're hiring? Was there a way to avoid the vendor fee? Can't we just pay for a day pass like every normal hoteL? Thanks!

if you book a package you are only allowed x amoutn of people (for example Tailor Made is 35 guests and Aqua -25 guests) so iof you have more guests it's about 100 extra per person over that number. so how are brides handling this? Just paying out of pocket? is there anyway for a discount?

Hola, when I contacted Paradisus La esmeralda/La Perla I was told I had to pay 3 nights stay or 1000 usd vendor fee to have an outside photographer. could I just pay for a day pass or night pass instead? they do offer these passes, not sure what they are for? anyone get around this ridiculous fee?

the gabi reception for aqua package is another 4500 not 2k. I misread, it's 2k for a sunrise ? not sure what that means i think taht's ridiculous and ludacris

I got the same quote but when I revealed my venue, blam they increased my quote by another 700 bucks for the same 4 hours. IS THIS A SCAM??? same company

You know what's ridiculous...for them to charge so much for everything when the place is in the ghetto. I dont mean a not so rich area, I mean shacks and corrugated metal for walls and roofs. It's shady as heck. You would not want to wander outside this compound. when our taxi pulled up I really wanted to tell him to just turn around because I didnt' want to bother seeing the property.

if you decide to bring your own photographer and not use there's it's a 1000 US dollar vendor fee. Just take that into consideration.

just don't book an outside photog if you do it's a 3 night stay or 1000 US dollars. *sigh* I don't know what to do but to give in probably. i've never heard of this kind of extortion. most resorts ask for a 1 to 2 night stay. I might as well as my fiance's dad to film us or my cousins they have fancy cameras.

I wish I could get married at Paradisus and allowed to have choices. Most hotels charge 350-500. resorts in mexico run their own rules. it's nuts. one minute they tell you one thing next minute they change (forthe worse) i was at Palace Playacar for a friend's wedding, they didn't bother to take off the taxes for my resort credits until I showed them the paperwork stating there's NO taxes if booked before april 1. then when i used the resort credits to buy tequila at the gift shop(by the way 200 dollars for a generic unheard of brand is ridiculous) i was told it has to be taxed since its' not a service. I paid it. 20 bucks in taxes which is about what the damn thing cost.

Photography is the most important feature in a wedding in my opinion. People will forget the food, the cake, the music but pictures last forever. Good photography is not hard to come by but amazing photographers who capture real moments is difficult to find especially for those on a budget. I would faint if I won this package. The reason why I am doing a destination wedding is because my family couldn't afford a wedding back home. So I am draining my savings to pay for a destination wedding and pay for my poor relatives to come witness my special day. I am hoping to marry next year, either March, April or May. I have seen Mr Samuel's work it is jaw dropping. I love how he can capture the moment as it happens and is a story teller. I would be honored if he was my photographer! I can't wait to share my photos with my future children and grandchildren when the time comes. I want to show them how beautiful and special our day was when we became a family. I often look back at my parents photos and grandparents and reminsce. Unfortunately there are no wedding photos of theirs due to the war in their home country. My parents got married at the court house with no family witnesses or photographers.

These photos will last a lifetime and I can show my future children and grandchildren how beautiful our day was. I want to pass this timeless piece of treasure for future generations. I love looking back at old photos and reminsce.
