not sure if you heard back. i got them to stick to the 1000 but they still tacked on insane tax and fees so it came to 1250. if you don't scrutinize they will try to rob you blind. they hope people don't try to look in detail because they like to get as much as they can. VERY SHADY people

ask them about including a cake tasting my planner who no longer works there either forgot or didn't plan one. we ate the delicious foods but no cake. so when i asked her a few hours after it concluded she said just come back and do it the day before your ceremony. What the?? oh well. that's how people roll down there I'm guessing. it's like whatever.

any reports of mosquitos in Paradisus? Esp Gabi bridge? About what time? I wish all you upcoming brides lots of luck. I'm nervous going down there only to see a disaster. I'm still going to hold out hope that it all pans out in the end. I haven't had much luck. Jessica has been helpful but she can only do so much from Miami. What often gets lost in translation are the details. Remember the game Telephone as a kid? line up a bunch of kids. The very first person in line whispers a phrase and it goes tot he next kid. then the last kid yells out the phrase and it's nothing even close to the first phrase.

OMG The price you paid for Gabi club is astronomical it should have been privatized it's a ton of money. We're not talkin pesos people. I can't believe it. That's insane. How can that happen? They only have 1-2 weddings a day why would that mistake happen>??

getting mail and packages can take a long time. I think unless you pay for expedited shiping to not risk it. international mail takes forever.

Thank you Ladybugg for comforting words. I can't wait to hear about your wedding. I had my planning call w/Jessica yesterday, she's very sweet and it was a little comforting but I'm still nervous because my walk through notes were no where to be found. She's going through her old emails now. Do you know who your onsite coordinator is? She said we won't know ours till closer to the date/after final invoice. We are only 30 days out, it feels like nothing is prepared sigh...We too are having it at Hadar. I am so excited for you , marriage is a great thing so if this wedding thing doesn't pan out I still know I am a lucky girl marrying a very lucky boy lol ..as are you! What are you doing for an after party? I was told 11pm is cut off, so I'm hoping there's something for my guests to do afterwards. I didn't recall seeing a club on site. Only lounge and bars.

My wedding is a month away and I feel like they don't have any notes on what we spoke about because I just got a questionaire from Jessica from Miami office asking the same darn things: color of flowers, decor, where is your reception location, date, time ceremony location. COME ON Paradisus, step it up. So redundant.

OOOh man everyone is stressing out. I hope everythings smoothes itself over for you and all the brides to be. I can't help but have anxiety since my wedding is a month away. AHHHHHHh Paradisus keeps randomly charging my fiance's credit card without telling him. These people are ridiculous. If I could turn back time I would have picked a different resort. I'm freaking out cuz I don't feel like the planners are competent since they change their stories on me frequently and hand me off to a new person. Who was your on site coordinator? Ok ladies I am freaking out my wedding is in July (first week) I am filled with anxiety. Somedays I don't even want to think about iwedding planning part(I def want to get married to the groom, just the pis poor planning of the paradisus team and disconnect is frustrating, they renegged on several things I was promised verbally) SO besides that... can someone tell me who's recently gotten married there? how did it go?? What is your sequence of events like? I still do not know what my guests will do once the ceremony ends and bride and groom walk back down the aisle. Where do we meet? Do we go straight to pictures? From our visit in Dec I was told the cocktail hour would be a 1 min walk away from ceremony which is NOT intuitive because you have to cross another bridge to get to cocktail set up. I hope they have signs pointing to the cocktail area. did you use in house DJ? Did he do a good job of announcements and playing songs at the right time? What's a typical sequence like? ceremony-at gabi bridge cocktail hour (meanwhile bride groom take pictures? with bridal party and family) Reception- guests are seated dj announces bridal party walking in, then the bride and groom then off to first dance and mom/son father/daughter dance then speeches or dinner first? then dancing ahhhhhhhhhhhh i have no help. bridesmaids aren't helping well they can't. it's all done in MX so they have no real way to help. I would truly appreciate it if you ladies would help when I'm done with my wedding I'll def come back and report back. Hello everyone, did any one book DJSAV? I was given two different prices. The wedding packet says dj serivices are only a couple hundred dollars but the quote I got from Paradisus and DJSAV were well over 1200 for the same exact thing. What price did you lock in your DJ? I haven't seen a contract either. I paid my deposit. Im not too happy about having my wedding here.
