Have any of you received quotes for the hotels for group rates yet?

I totally agree with all of you however I must admit that I was VERY frustrated when they confirmed my wedding date and then said "oops sorry that date was already booked" a week later. Then it took her another week to confirm my second date and all it said was " thank you your date is confirmed" so that made me stressed. So I'm hoping that this was my only bump. Just as long as my date is officially confirmed I'm fine not hearing from them until much closer to my date. When I go down there next month I am hoping to see a few weddings and be put at ease! I'm so excited for all of you ladies and I feel good knowing that the communication gets better closer to the date!

I love the porta maria decorations and I think i have to set my wedding up like that too! Its so funny that 99% of your questions are the same as mine! Actually we just bought a house and moved to freehold last year--- we actually grew up MUCH closer to you in South Brunswick thats so funny! I miss walking around princeton on nice nights like this and getting thomas sweets! Also what travel agent are you using!?

Well when we went last year we did the 3pm one which was the later trip specifically because they said that kids/families generally don't go on the later trip (they tend to book the 11am catamaran) So kids DO go on them however the one we went on it was a pretty rowdy crowd-so rowdy that they didn't let some of the people snorkel because they were wasted beyond belief and then those people stayed at margaritaville, on the way back the workers gave the women foot massages and some got a little raunchy- I mean I'm 24 and I felt uncomfortable watching 50 year old women getting their feet licked... BUT with all that being said it's not gonna be like that if you have a private charter. I think the age of the kids that your having will LOVE it, the snorkeling is AMAZING so pretty and they have so many guides to show you around, and margaritaville is super fun too! We are going to do a catamaran too for our guests, making it optional, my travel agent is working with the charter company right now so I will keep you posted. ALSO we are going to Montego Bay May 12 to do a site visit at the Iberostar (22 days WOO!) and the two of us are 100% doing the catamaran so hopefully we will be able to talk to them in person and get a good rate. I'll keep you guys posted. We did the trip two years ago and the catamaran was the absolute highlight of our trip, it was so much fun and we want to share that with our guests. I can only imagine how much fun its going to be having it rented out with just our friends and family.

Ok while I'm not feeling totally 100% about her at this point I do feel better that its not just a personal issue with me and my travel agent! I do feel better that you ladies are having the same issue (not really but you know what i mean LOL) I have an appointment to meet with her May 16 when we go down there so I am hoping to get things solidified then, my wedding is over a year away so i know I have ALOT of time, but I've just been having alot of issues with her ( for example my date was confirmed and then a week later she said that she made a mistake and someone already had that day and I would have to change mine- then I sent her the paperwork and she kept saying she didnt get it, and then finally she said she got it and her idea of a confirmation was "you are confirmed for June 21, 2013" and that was it) I just don't want to get screwed over!

Has anyone been having issues communicating with the WC at the grand?! She has been being really vauge with my travel agent and I. She 'confimed' my date with an email that said "your date is confirmed" and didnt send me any contract or anything like that. I am very nervous.

I am getting VERY stressed because my travel agent and I really aren't getting a good vibe from Janielle, she is not getting back to us with our confirmation and when she finally did all she wrote was "your date is confirmed" What is your experance with her so far? and what did your confirmation consist of? FINALLY after over a MONTH of dealing with the WC at the grand we were able to secure our date June 21, 2013 (our 10 year anniversary! So relived that the day is now confirmed and the we leave a month from today for our site visit! Just one quick question- what did your confirmation look like? Mine was just a one line email saying this- (I hope thats official- it doesn't seem it to me) "Thank you Kristi June 21st 2013 is confirmed for you." Hey Ladies! I am planning a site visit to the Iberostar next month.. (staying at suites getting married at grand most likely) We are meeting with the WC at the grand and getting tours of all 3 properties because we think our guests will be pretty spread out and we want to give them input on all three of them! If you guys have any questions you want asked please let me know! I am trying to come up with a list and I am failing miserably, so I'm hoping your questions will help me as well! Does anyone have any information about the kids club?! I am having a VERY hard time debating wether or not to invite kids to the wedding. I 100% do not want them at the actual ceremony/reception, however I feel like it is unfair to ask the parents to leave their kids at home from vacation, with this being said I wanted info on the kids club so I know wether or not they can leave their kids there for the wedding. I don't mean to sound like a monster but my cousin's kids ARE monsters and there is NO way I want them at my wedding! THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Hi Ladies! I sent in my wedding day request to the Grand on Saturday, and I have yet to hear back, I sent another email and NOTHING... how long did it take you to hear back? Also those of you who have the 2013 wedding packages can you post them?! We are most likely getting married and the grand BUT i would like to see the other 2013 rates as well thanks!

Ok so I am confused... if you get married at the grand do a certain percentage of your guests have to be staying at the grand? can anyone post a contract on the site? I just want to be able to see the whole contract for myself. Hi Ladies, I am planning my wedding for may/june 2013, my fiance and I are heading to Jamaica this May to look at resorts, right now we are 99% sure we are going to get married at the Iberostar, however we are not sure which property, this trip we will be staying at the suites. Are there any suggestions you can make in choosing between the 3, also what sort of things should I know when I go there for the visit. We are going May 12-19 if any of you ladies are getting married that week I'd love to catch a peek of the wedding to get an idea of what I should expect! Thanks so much!

I have a question about the weddings on the beach at the beach... do we have to pay extra to get the hupa!? I know that if you want the hupa to be decorated then you have to pay BUT do you have to pay for the actual structure?! Thanks girls!

Hi! I am also in the Jersey Shore area! I was wondering two things 1) what is the contact info for your invitations?! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them and I would love to talk to the company about doing something similar for my wedding! and 2) what travel agency are you using!? We just got engaged two weeks ago so we are in the beginning stages of planning for may-june 2013 Id love to get in contact with a great TA so we can give all of our guests enough time to plan and come!
