I booked misha! I am obsessed with her pictures, she has amazing reviews on here AND she is so easy to communicate with--- with that being said I havent heard anything about merrick so I am prob not a fair judge but misha is amazing!!!

I have an AMAZING tip for you! For an informal cocktail hour (that you do NOT have to pay for...) Head to the piano bar (its in the main lobby of the suites but also attached to the grand. NO one knows about it... when my fiance and I went in may we went there every night before and after dinner for a drink and we were the only ones in there every night... we had our very own personal bar tender... sooo my fiance and i decided we are going to do our welcome party there and save some cash! hope that helps- i would try that out over the lobby bar! Happy planning!!!!

OK Ladies- I am having a HUGE problem choosing a dress and i thought I would ask for your input... I am between two dresses both Maggie Sottero... The first is the Vanessa- I love it , it looks good on me and it is SOO SOO comfortable ( i feel like I'm in sweatpants in it... i love it) but I have worn SOO many dresses in that same style/shape so everyone who sees it on me is like "its so you" and yes it is "So me" BUT I dont want it to look like everyother dress I've ever worn.... which may be where my problem is... The other one is the Marion,- To me it feels more bridal, I feel like a real bride, I think it also looks just good as the vanessa but its just not as comfortable... but it isn't something I would typically wear... So my question- Is it more important to feel comfortable OR to feel bridal?! Should I go with a shape that I tend to gravitate towards for other occasions because it looks good on me and works OR should I go with something that is out of my comfort zone but makes me feel more like a bride?! Either way i havent had that "THIS IS MY DRESS" moment and now I'm thinking I never will... Time is ticking down for me and I Really can't choose... Hopefully you guys can help... I'm so torn I'm considering asking my fiancee but I want him to be surprised...

I booked my excursions when I was at the suites in May at the front desk. They were very nice and very helpful... HOWEVER- it may be easier to look into doing things ahead of time for a large group!

I am also from NJ and I am working with an AMAZING travel agency that specializes in destination weddings. Please let me know if you want their info. They have been nothing but amazing!!!

There is only one wedding per day at each of the three resorts on the property. So you have the full attention of the wedding coordinator for that day!

when we went (which is around when ur getting married) there were NO bugs at the suites. However we did notice some bugs around the beach of the Beach resort part. The beach doesnt have as many of the palm umbrellas for shade. Instead they use real trees and under them there are alot of bugs...

I'm going to ask a pretty ridiculous question (i think food is on my mind because im trying on dresses and trying to diet) BUT does anyone know the options for cake flavors at the resort? (mainly the Grand) thanks...!

Hi Abby! Are you already confirmed for the 22nd at the Grand? The only reason I ask is because we tried booking that date a long time ago (Nov or Dec) and they said it was already taken! Just wanted to give you the heads up. But maybe you were the one who booked it! We will be getting married the same weekend! How many people are you having and what dates are you going?

we booked the resort and sent out save the dates. I have no idea what dress I want or what I want my groom to wear. I feel like im so far behind!

my colors are going to be coral and turquoise. I am not sure the logistics quite yet. The only thing I have done are my save the dates which are pictured below

The rules of the resort in general apply to the beach party (if you stay at the suites you can go to the party at the beach but if you stay at the beach you CAN NOT go to the party at the suites, if you stay at the grand you can go to both parties.) I think the parties start at 8 or 9!
