Great info again ladies and Carlota I totally agree about the photographer, it was the one thing we wanted to spend more of our budget on over flowers etc because, for us, it's our lasting memory of the day. That being said however, it is totally up to each individual ... some people may feel the photographer is not as important. The important thing is to think what you don't want to have any regrets about and then try your best to make sure you don't. Hopefully the service will have improved an wont take as log now. We have a smaller party of 30-40 although I'd definitely prefer not to wait so long between courses. Kathy, we also booked over a year ago and out last correspondence said we only need to pay like $40 which will cover our photographers dinner while he is there. I agree with Carlota, email the weddig coordinators directly for a specific answer and that way you will also have a record of the information they give you to take on the day. I'm definitely going to print out all my emails to take along in case there is any misunderstanding when we arrive, especially since everything seems to be changing now. Claire x

Congrtulations Karen! You look fantastic in the photos and I'm so pleased to hear you had a wonderful time. I'm alway a little anxious that ill hear some dreadful review but it seems the Grand Palladium is as good as it seems! Thanks for the information about the hair and make up and also the locations, it's nice to hear first hand. It's a shame your room requests weren't met, I hope it didn't distract too much from your vacation. Glad to hear the food was lovely although I grew the top table shoul always be served first. We're having Catholic ceremony so will be a little different from yours, but I hope we enjoy just as much!

I can't see your pictures either Carlota but I hope they're lovely as we are having our drinks and dancing at Las Rocas after our emal as well! Chrestena, I'm not sure if you have already done this, but if not visit palladiumaddict.net. There is a tonne of info on there including a template e-mail to send the hotel no sooner than 1 week before you arrive with a room request (which you can ask for a complimentary upgade seeing as you have visited several times before.) I think if you mention Palladium Addicts it throws some weight behind it as well. From what I read they really do try and accomodate your requests as far as possible and are also very hospitable towards the Palladium Addicts (return vacationers) I guess it all depends on what rooms are not booked up for the time you are there, but fingers crossed you will get at least an upgrade! I'm heading off to bed now to dream about my dress, had a fitting last night and fell in love all over again! xx

Thank you Carlota for all the information, it is very clear and your english is great! It's a shame you can't have the beach party and also the flowers of your choice but I would definitely suggest thinking about MrsTye2be's suggestion of heading along to the resort white party with all your guests. Although it won't be private it would be a nice welcome or leaving celebration before or after the weding. Good for you on choosing to have a maid of honour as well, it means you'll have someone there to help you with anything that crops up o the day, and also to share your special moments with. Thanks also for the info on wristbands, it's good to know we don't need to worry about those. Good luck Maybride2013 and Mikeycelle, have a totally amazing time!

Hi ladies, it's been a while since I've had time to get my BDW fix and i've loved catching up on all the threads with a wee cuppa tea this afternoon! Chrestena - those shoes WOW! They are gorgeous and you can totally wear them on another occasion as well. Here are my shoes... you can't see so well here but they have some lovely lace applique on the toe and up the back as well. Mikeycelle -you must be so excited now the countdown really is on! I can't wait to hear how it all goes for you and hopefully see a few photos as well! MrsTye2be - your bags look great, I'm sure everyone will love them and I especially love a DIY project! The fingerprint tree is such a lovely idea and it's sweet that you can have yours hand drawn as well. I would say baby wipes would be just fine for guests to clean their inky fingers afterwards but maybe try it out first just to check? With regards to your timeline and making the most of your DJ, could you start dinner a bit earlier maybe? I'm sure everybody's day will go by in a flash of fun and excitement! caseylynndavis - the white party runs weekly (I think it's a Monday night) and guests are invited to come along wearing white. There is food and firedancers and I think it sounds fantastic! I asked Vanessa about reserving an area for our group to have a get together there (sort of welcome drinks) but she said it is open to all guests at the hotel and could not reserve us a space. I guess we'll just turn up and enjoy! I'm curious now as well about the Karen Bussen packages and how they work cost wise with the Catholic Ceremony. Would we need to pay the $2100 for the Catholic Ceremony package (this is what we have booked) and then the whole cost of the Karen Bussen package on top, or would the cost of the Karen Bussen package include the priest and ceremony? Thank you for any advice. I don't like to email Vanessa all the time if I can find the answers form you lovely helpful ladies

Hey mikeycelle, It's good to hear AGI recommended, thanks! Definitely looking into that for when we arrive! Oh 1 month that's so soon it'll just fly in now! I am worrying about th Nihil Obstat as well because our priest has a terrible memory and it was like tarting over explaining everything each time we went to see him! There's a new priest now dealing with weddin prep though so feeling more confident we'll get sorted out in time. When do you get your dress? I'm sure it will be just perfect what else do you have left o plan/do?

Hi girls, new question ... has anyone booked a group private transfer for your guests from the airport to hotel? I saw AGI recommended on Palladium addict but their prices don't go up to 30 passengers which we would need. Ill maybe try and find an email for them and email to ask, the prices looked quite reasonable - $100 for 8-10 passengers. I thought it would be nice for our guests to arrive at the hotel before the rest of our coach full coming in on our flight. Palladium addict said it got you there about 45 mins before the rest!

Hey girls, Carlota we dont usually tip in the uk either so its an extra we're not used to. I think we would give our tip after the wedding day. If would be good to be able to pay more upfront although j can see why we would probably pay on check out, at least that way we can agree everything we are paying for. Im glad you found a good deal for your guests to travel and hope they are not giving you lots of difficulties! I think we're going to go for the traditional mexican cake which lots of people have said is really delicious. Traditionally we would have had a fruit or sponge cake but after a big meal most people wojldnt eat it anyway so thats why we've went Mexican!

Carlota, we need some different paperwork because our wedding will be a religious ceremony. I'm sure whatever Vanessa has asked you to bring will be correct. Chrestena your dress is beautiful, I would definitely go or the sparkly belt although its completely whatever you feel is best for you. Your maids dresses are lovely too an will look great in the bright coral! I like your maracas, especially because they're traditional Mexican... the guests will love them! Kmayhes wow it's so close for you now, this month will just fly in! I haven't been to the resort before so can't recommend another restaurant sorry, although I'm sure some if the other girls on here will have good suggestions for you. We're havin our ceremony a little later at 4 just because it might be a little cooler then (we're a July wedding) then dinner 6.30-8.30 followed by cocktail hour at las rocas 9-11 - just to give you an idea of our timings. It seems people have their times all different ways so just think about how you want your day to pan out and go with that. Claire

Hi ladies, I haven't been on in a while and there has been so much to read and so many great ideas and lovely photos to look at! Shayla your pictures are beautiful, you must be so excited to see the rest now. It made me really excited about our TTD when I saw yours! And Cresteena your dress looks beautiful, it will exciting for you as well when it arrives you must let us know how it goes! I got my dress 'off the rail' and then took it to a dressmaker to have it altered and bits added to so have the same excitement when I go to see it. I hope it will turn out as lovely as it is in my head haha! I am also having bridesmaids dresses made so looking forward to seeing them finished on 1st April. Hopefully they will just as we imagine. Welcome to the forum Carlotta and good question, I hadn't even thought about tips yet - any suggestions would be great! Mikeycelle that was so lovely of your sister to organise your shower, it sounds like you had fun! I hope my sister is as thoughtful as yours We have just been to see our priest today and got our Certificate of Freedom to marry, I am hoping this is the same as the Nihil Obstat that Vanessa has asked for. Does anyone know? I'm so paranoid that we'll get there and will not be allowed to get married because our paperwork isn't right! Argh, I have e-mailed Vanessa a photo of the certificate so hopefully she'll email back to say that is all we need. The donations to a special charity in leui of favours are a really lovley yand thoughtful idea. I have been to a few weddings where this has happened and the guests all thought it was a lovely and meaningful idea. Claire
