  1. i plan on adding this in to our welcome book. I might put 2 couples on a page with their names and how they are related to me or the groom. I will also leave a blank for their room number so the guests can fill it in if they want to know where they are staying.
  2. i just can't believe how much free stuff you girls have been getting! i need to get on here and start ordering things!
  3. awesome! i will keep this in mind once i reach 150 and once i need to start making things!
  4. On Tuesday, June 26, 2012, they will slip a ring on each other's finger and make a promise for life. On behalf of Mr. & Mrs. H and Mr. & Mrs. F you are invited to attend a reception to welcome them as husband and wife!
  5. We are coming home from Mexico June 30th and having our AHR July 27th. I think a month is a good amount of time. You don't want to drag it out too long.
  6. this is what i wanted for my AHR but the logistics and money got in the way glad you had a beautiful day!
  7. We are doing cocktail hour at 5:30, heavy appetizers for dinner at 6:30, i'm hoping to have a slideshow of pics and video clips from Mexico, cake cutting (not having a cake in mexico) and then we'll probably do our first dance and then dance the rest of the night. no garter or bouquet toss (then again i'm not doing it for either reception). So it'll probably end around 1130-12.
  8. We are doing the same! Might as well make use of it again, plus I want pictures with friends and family that couldn't be there with us.
  9. We are planning to get legally married here right before we leave for Mexico. We'll invite our parents and siblings. I plan on wearing my bridal shower dress and we are not exchanging rings. I pretty much want to forget that day ever happened! Then we will have our wedding in Mexico and celebrate that day forever. And a month later we are having a big AHR. I didn't want anything crazy, but his parents are into 'nice' things and were against mexico to begin with.. so I feel I'm compromising and catering to them for the AHR since my family and I are strong supporters of the destination wedding. So it is what it is!
  10. Update to this idea... my fiance is a photographer on the side, so we are going to make a book of the pictures he takes in Mexico during our wedding week, and make a large picture book for our guests to sign at the AHR. So excited that the pictures will be our own and it's something we'll want to look at for the rest of our lives!
  11. LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea!!! I might still do postcards for our mexico wedding and then find a book down there and use it for our home reception. depending on the book, maybe people will be able to sign anywhere in the book since there will be more room for all of them. how unique!
