As far as music during the ceremony, did you think it was necessary to have music playing during the ceremony. Or was just a processional and recessional enough?

So.. what do you guys think are appropriate tip amounts around the resort? I don't want to be insulting by give someone a buck, but at the same time I don't want to get them 10 if 1 would have been appropriate. So, I'm thinking tipping waitstaff during the reception and at other times, housekeeping, dj, photographer, etc. Suggestions?

So I had my bachelorette party over the weekend. Soooo much fun. My boudoir shoot was awesome. I looked so good in my photos. It was a total self esteem boost, I had know idea I could look so beautiful. It makes me feel so much better for my my wedding. It also told me that I need to get my make up professionally done, it makes such a big difference on camera. I can't wait til I have something to post on here for you guys. Eeek! so much to do still!

I'm actually doing 2 gifts, I got him a guitar. He loves guitars and I got him a really cherry fender strat and I'm giving him a photobook with shots from my boudoir shoot. The best thing about the boudoir shoot is that we're doing it this weekend as part of my bachelorette weekend and it's being covered, so that's a sweet savings and fun with my girls. ... as far as my something blue... I'm putting "I do" in blue rhinestones on my underwear... plus my engagement ring is actually blue, so that's super covered. I don't have a something old yet... just realized that ... I will have to look through my stuff to see what I have and can use. ... and my something borrowed is coming from my grandmother, but I'm not sure what yet.

can you guys share your centerpiece ideas with me? I'm having rectangular tables and right now I'm drawing a blank on centerpieces that won't break the bank. The prices for extras are just outrageous... I wanted to do the orchids in the vases of water, but they're $170 a vase...craziness... $110 a bag of petals... I have about a dozen mercury glass holders and another dozen silver tealights.. that's just not enough on its own. I just want something simple and beautiful... but not empty looking... sigh.. two years of planning and I never thought I'd be here one month out.

I'm gonna show some ignorance here... but are those "eyelash extensions"? I didn't even know such a thing was possible. Where do you get something like that done, how do they do it? Everything about this is surprising to me.

I am having such a hard time picking a processional song for me to walk down the isle to... help please!! I think I've heard about a million songs and none of them really feel right.

(still working on this one) manicure (5/6, 5/13) boudoir shoot and order/wrap photo book (my girls are working this shoot into my bachelorette party... going wardrobe shopping this weekend for it!!) set up on guitar for grooms gift final fitting on dress(5/3) hem groom's pants (5/3) pack clothes for trip pick up marriage license (4/18) sign marriage certificate (5/17 at 3:00pm-legal ceremony!!!!) call PNC to let them know we are leaving the country Send "Before you Go- You need to know" email to attendees sign up for excursions make copies of passport May 22nd Fly Out!!!!! May 25th GET HITCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn... it didn't seem like I had that much to do still... but then .. there you go.. massive list! I still have a month and a half though, so I think I'm ok. Not in panic mode yet. Still in "I can lose another ten pounds" mode.

I only have on Best Maid of Honor, we don't even have a Best Man! But, I'm still having a Bachelorette Party. You should do it, ask you friends by you to just take you out one night this week and wear a silly veil.. then run around a bar or two telling everyone you meet that "you're tying the knot". Or book a facial and massage apts for you and your girls, get your nails done. That kind of thing. Everyone deserves an "all about the bride" party.

Did anyone get the dress laundered, after the ceremony, at the resort? Thinking about doing it there instead of here. I plan on wearing it again for my AHR.

I am so Excited!! My MOH has been really killing herself this last week prepping for it. Her thing is that since I'm not getting the Big Party I wanted, she wants to incorporate and throw the over the top party that she thinks "I deserve". I think this has only been more fueled the last two weeks with my disappointment over guests dropping out and have a wedding guest list of 11 people. Ok... so the final count is in... and I only have... sniff... 10 guests... sigh... I need some suggestions of fun things to do, to keep things interesting with such a small group. oh, and I'm going to share somethings I just found... since they seem good for any size group. Reverse couple kiss - This is a fun twist on the tradition of the bride and groom exchanging a kiss when the guests clink their glasses. Give your DJ a list of couples in attendance who will be "spot lighted" and instructed that they must first demonstrate a proper kiss before the bride and groom take their turn. Pearls of wisdom- Before you arrive, have your guests write words of advice to the two of you. Example: "As you are waiting for the bride and groom to arrive, please take a moment and think about w hat advice you would give them as newlyweds. What will help them keep their love alive and strong and have a happy life together. Write your pearls of wisdom on the lines below and place them on the DJs table. Throughout the evening he will stop the music and take a moment to read a couple at a time. Your name is optional though it would be nice to know who it comes from. Humorous or sentimental it’s your choice!" -----------------I would really love any ideas you girls have been tossing around..
