Hi guys! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was oh so not that great! UUGGHHH!!! Too much never ending drama! Found out that one friend (who I thought was a good friend) that was invited to my wedding, said she couldn't afford to come to it, was in Costa Rica the past week. I found out at a baby shower on Saturday and I felt a total fool that everyone knew but me! Then that very friend e-mailed me today to end our friendship. Another friend e-mailed me and said she didn't like me putting her in the middle of that Costa Rica situation. She brought it up on Saturday and said she didn't know about it and I said it's ok if she did and that it has nothing to do with her and she insisted she didn't know and it was dropped. But again, today I got that e-mail from her asking me not to put her in the middle anymore. . I don't talk about these girls to one another, ever!!! But this means they talk at length about me together, but I have no one to talk to about the betrayal I feel. Then yesterday my older brother sent me a TEXT saying he wasn't sure he was coming to our wedding anymore. I asked him why and he told me to ask my (younger) brother! So talk about selfish. My brother isn't going because he has some problem with the other brother!? Never mind the fact the wedding has NOTHING to do with him. The older brother pulls this crap all the time too! I tried calling him, since he didn't have the decency to call me and he didn't answer. I am so frustrated and upset!!!!!! My best friend is my older sister and she won't even call me back as she is so tired of hearing about the friend drama and really hates hearing about sibling drama. So, she is annoyed with me and that is why I am here venting/crying to you guys! HA!!! I do apologize, but I am the type that has to talk it out, or it will drive me batty!!! (((HUGS)))

We are buying them the mini video recorders for about $150, but we are only having 2 guys, I don't think I would do that for 8. Maybe your FI could plan a deep sea fishing excursion with them while you are there?

We have budgeted 20K. Which, includes our flight and accommodations for both our wedding hotel and honeymoon hotel (2 weeks). That is where the majority of our money is going. The wedding itself, along with OOT bags, deep sea fishing, etc...for 21 people is fairly inexpensive in comparison to doing it at home. Totally worth it to get to party with our families for a week and a week on our own.

I definitely do not think that you need to pay for their accommodations. We are not paying for our wedding party. We are however, paying for their wedding day attire. Which will be about $200/pp. We are also getting them a gift. I feel that is fair enough. Our wedding party is mostly made up of siblings, so they didn't even want us to pay for their attire. Just let your party pay for themselves. The 2 DW's I have been to, I paid for myself. I don't think they will expect you guys to do it.

I have been in 10 weddings and probably been to at least 20 showers and I have never received a "Favor" for attending the shower. Of course, we would get prizes for any games played, but that's it. So, are favors even a necessity, especially for 85 people??? It's definitely a nice gesture, but I have never expected anything from a wedding shower just for attending. But, I do think the sugar scrubs sounds fab!!!

First of all, I am sorry you are feeling like this at all! Can not be a fun feeling! I would talk to FI and ask him why he is having such a huge issue with the money aspect, but doesn't want to postpone until you have the money? There is no harm in that at all. I know a lot of people who were engaged for 2 years so they could save for the wedding. Money is always going to be a stressor in a marriage and obviously, it's not good that you are already fighting over it. If FI doesn't want to postpone, but gets upset when you bring it up maybe he has some other underlying issues??? Sadly, it sounds like maybe things should be put on hold so you guys to come to a common consensus about it. Good luck!!!

For you ladies wanting to ship to Mexico...I would use a lot of caution doing so. It is very possible that your stuff may get stuck in customs and never released. I have heard of this happening to many brides. I am not shipping anything down there for fear of this, not to mention some resorts won't even allow you to ship to them. Always double check. We originally had ocean view and deluxe rooms in our room block as well. According to my TA you can still be in the same section (e.g. Sunrise, etc...) but there is no guarantee that any of the rooms will be close to one another. I am sure your TA can request that the rooms be close to one another, but be prepared to possibly be in separate buildings in your section. If I had to take a guess, the resort view could be in a totally different building than the ocean view rooms. But I think as long as you guys are in the same section, it shouldn't matter too much! We chose MP because my nephews were coming and they have a ton to do there with plenty of dining options. I tend to get sick of the same thing over and over. However, we were debating between beach palace and MP. I loved Beach Palace, but I thought 3 restaurants would be tiresome after a week. Part of me wishes we would have booked Beach Palace (since we have less people going than we thought), but MP is a great resort and has tons of amenities, golf course included. Most of our group going down did not want to venture off the property into Cancun or Playa, so that was main reason we chose MP-tons of options at the resort. Good luck with your decision.

Alright ladies, I am back at it this evening! Wish me luck, it's been 2 1/2 weeks YIKES! So disappointed in myself but all I can do is start over again! Hopefully I didn't lose all the endurance I gained in the first 6 weeks!

I thought that was very very nicely written. Unfortunately, my most recent e-mail to Joannis was not that nice. I was rather abrupt!!! But, I have finally reached my limit with them. All other e-mails I have written to them were nice and eloquent, but it obviously has gotten me no where with them. But I do need to let them know that since I booked my wedding 7 months ago, the 2011 pricing should stand. Can't wait to hear the response!!!

WOW!!! This makes me LOL. I have Ivis and my wedding is in 3 months, but you get an e-mail??? MP is seriously starting to make me so very angry! Makes me wish I didn't book there!

ya, the thing is, I can't find the e-mail saying $65 But I know I got one early on, that's how I knew the price. I thought I did a diligent job of keeping all e-mails. But I e-mailed Janina again and told her that she was the one that told me that originally (because she was). As for Speckles....girl, your wedding is a little further off, so I wouldn't be surprised if they give you the higher rates

This still bums me out!!!! That is still way too expensive for me! I am not happy, and even more upset that I can't get in touch with anyone! I am determined for them to keep their original $65 set up fee! Or else I am going to have some stuff to sell, unfortunately, not to MP brides!

I loved hot yoga, but man, it's expensive! I wanted to do it before the wedding along with Insanity and FI is not havin' it (money wise_ tear tear Can't wait to read it!!! i wish I was still obsesses. I was good for about 5 weeks and started to lose motivation very quickly!!! congrats on losing 25lbs! I need to start again!!!

We also go the groomsmens outfits! Here is my FI wearing the shirt we bought for the 2 guys. The pants will be the same as FI's which is a flat front light brown color slack. We had to order their sizes as they didn't have them at the store. I can't believe I didn't take a pic of FI in his wedding attire, but I will eventually! Shirt the groomsmen will be wearing!

So, as it turns out, FI is starting to get kind of mad as well with the lack of communication and talk of outrageous fees! He is not happy!! Which in turn stresses me out, as he is usually the calm one!!! Also, I feel that like I am going to forget something major to do! HAHA!! I know, total joke! It makes me really nervous, actually, like I am going to forget something major to do before I get down there!!! So, I am finally getting a nervous and feeling unsettled. This is something I have thought about ever since we got engaged! But...I know you will fit everything where it needs to be and get everything down there! Congrats!!! And don't worry people will book eventually! I sent out invites in November and just our families (to this day) have booked. You will get some last minute people I bet! That's what I am hoping for!
