It's just unbelievable to me that I don't have one friend coming after everything I have done for them (been in their weddings, one was destination, bridal showers, bach. parties, baby showers, etc...) It's just so hurtful that now that it's my turn no one is there for me! Planning for my wedding has opened my eyes WIDE to who is a good friend and who isn't! and sadly, I learned I don't have any good friends, just a lot of acquaintances! I too, offered to help pay for 3 of my friends rooms and they all still seem to not be able to afford it! Not to mention those 3 friends just looked into it, but didn't 8 months ago! For me, there has been no way to help me prepare for the serious let down I have encountered! I hope that your friends do not do the same thing and that they come and have a great time with you guys! Thanks for letting me vent too!!!

Girl, these threads bring tears to my eyes everyday. I don't think one day has passed in the past 3 weeks that I haven't cried about how hurtful people are and how selfish people are! I am sooo sorry you are experiencing this. My brother is threatening not to come because he is fighting with my other brother. So, I understand how you are feeling!!! Family can suck (for lack of a better word) too!

The baby question also drives me crazy. Just because everyone and their mother (of my friends) are on their 2nd child. But that doesn't even mean that I am even close to ready and I will be 34 when I get married. My goal in life has never been to get married and have children right away. My goal is to be happy, content with where my husband and I are, financially sound and hopefully well traveled. If kids happen one day, then great. But I know so many people that got married and got pregnant right away. It's just not for everyone. I have never gotten the question "how much did your ring cost"! I would seriously be appalled!!! That is sooo rude. One question I am getting is, why aren't you having your wedding on a weekend? Um...because it's destination and I can do any day I want (and the weekends I would have wanted were already booked) Mind you no friends are even coming, so why even ask? And the one I hate the most is.."Why can't you just get married in your hometown". I have been saying I wanted a destination wedding well before our engagement, actually I have been saying it since after my sister's Hawaii wedding in 2002. And this is why I don't have anyone but family coming down. People have no problem with you spending tens of thousands of dollars on them to attend a hometown wedding. But selfishly, I have never wanted a big wedding.

uugghh!!! seriously story of my life! I don't have one "friend" coming to our wedding, so therefore I have decided I don't have one true friend. They avoid or send me e-mails (if I'm lucky) of their excuses or their excuse is on their RSVP card. This wedding has seriously led me to believe that I really don't have any friends, I will probably never forget / forgive some people so, if they avoid me now, it's for the best, as I don't have anything nice to say anyways! HA!!! I have been waiting for one surprise guest to book and it's just not going to happen. In my case the only people meant to be at my wedding is my immediate family. I say that you let those people be, they aren't being true friends anyways. I have driven myself crazy trying to maintain friendships with people that just don't feel the same way, it's just not worth the time and tears. It's true, that people show their true colors when it comes to a wedding. However, I hope people start changing their tunes toward you soon!

I got the bags at Target in the $1 aisle. I also, got a couple hot pink ones, but the black is better for the couples/guys. The t-shirts were from Vistaprint. I just put the t-shirt together and waited for them to go on super sale. I also got my brochures that I am going to mail a month beforehand for free, as well as my first aid stickers for free. Love vistaprint!!!

We have stayed at many AI's and I really wanted insulated mugs, but the cups were cheaper. The cups at the resort are small and the ice tends to melt quickly. These mugs won't help with the ice melting, but it gives you that little bit more so you aren't going up to the bar all the time. I guess it's just preference. We like being able to fill up a larger cup. My cups are almost too big, though, but we are big campers in the summer, so they will come in handy then, too!

Hi ladies! So, I finally have all the contents of my OOT bags. I still need to make the tags, print off the welcome letter and get small bags for the contents, but I just wanted to show everyone what I am putting in there.

I am spending about $17-18/bag I had a budget of $350 for OOT bags and we only have 21 people coming. Couples will receive one bag, the 2 kids will receive a bag and my sister coming alone will receive one. They get the beach bag itself and we are putting the following in: Imodium packets Advil Packets Bug wipes Hand sanitizer aloe Tums First Aid Kits Tip/Key card holder w/coil wristlet 32 oz. Plastic Stein Mugs T-shirt The kids are just getting a bunch of games and coloring books, etc... I would have loved to do more, but we are treating all the men to a deep sea fishing day and I am taking the ladies to lunch and giving them sarongs on that day. Hopefully they know how much we appreciate them coming!!

Oh and if you are on the Caribbean terrace you will still pay for extra fees for set up no matter what.

If you qualify for free events it's different. You do not need to pay $400/table for example, but you will have to pay for the extra hour(s) you may want, along with any decorations, music, etc.. you may also want.

Hi Airica26 From my understanding if you choose to use the dinner reservation for your reception you are only allowed 35. If you have more than 35 people you will then have to purchase a private function which is (with the new packages) $50/pp for a table of 8 or $400 for a table of 8 for 2 hours. That includes food and open bar. It's an additional $65/table/hour you want to extend. Hope that helps!

I totally know what you mean. My FI and I are doing INSANITY and he just shapes up so much quicker, endurance and muscle wise. We took a 2 week hiatus and are now back at it and his pants are already falling off of him So unfair!!! HA!!! Good luck with the marathon!!!

Thanks Ladies! Lee-I'll see ya tomorrow and we shall discuss more (if I have it in me!) On a much happier note, we received our plastic stein mugs for our OOT bags yesterday. They turned out sooooo GREAT and I am so excited about them. I swear I will post pix as soon as I have some time to put thing together! They are 32 oz, so they are huge, FI actually made a comment about the size, but the more drink the better I say! Now I just need to receive the t-shirts and brochures that I ordered from Vista and our we will have all of our OOT bag contents!
