My FFIL told us that traditionally the groom's parent's pay for the reheasal dinner. So, that's what he's doing. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for any money, but it made me chuckle!! Seriously, we are not in 1955. I think FFIL thinks that my Dad is paying for everything else, which is definitely not the case. My FI and I are paying for pretty much everything on our own. So, FFIL is paying for the rehearsal dinner I'll take what we can get!!!!

From what I have read thus far, there are amazing travel agents already on this site, including Tammy, who put this whole website together. I believe you can do a search on here for travel agents and they can pair you with someone that specializes in Cabo weddings.... Good Luck!

On August 19th, 2011my FI and I were heading up to Vail, CO for the weekend. FI's intention of going up for the weekend was to work on the home of a client. Because of this, I wasn't thinking he would propose. On our drive up there he asked me if I wanted to ride the Gondola to the top of the mountain. Of course I said yes, not thinking anything of it, as we do this all the time in the summer. When we got up there the gondola was not running due to a storm that had just come through. Apparently, he was scrambling, because he then asked me if I wanted to go to dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date. (This should have tipped me off, we haven't been there since our first date and we go to Vail all the time!) Luckily for us, the Gondola started running, so we walked over there. He seemed totally normal on the walk and the ride up to the top of the mountain. When we got up there, we went over to the view deck. We were standing there for about 5 min. and now I could tell he was getting all quiet. He then asked me if I wanted to head to the restaurant at the top of the mountain for a drink, I said yes, but instead of walking over to the restaurant he veered off the the right. I was thinking "what is he doing" and I am laughing to myself, because again, I was like "where is he going"? I turn around and he blurts out so cutely with tears in his eyes, "I love you, will you marry me?" on one knee. Shocked, I of course said yes after I said "what are you doing?!" HA!!! I was so taken aback that I didn't have time to really process what he was doing until he told me to look at the ring, then I was absolutely floored and breathless that he had just proposed. He then told me he had a whole speech planned and wanted to do the proposal on the view deck but A. there were too many people on the deck and B. he ended up getting really nervous and forgot what to say. For me, though, it was the perfect proposal! He did end up giving me his speech after the fact, anyways! Win win!!!!

Totally understand! and SSaper is right, it definitely sounds like jealousy. If I were you, I would just let her get things off her chest and from there, decide if you can say anything, or if it's just worth letting it fall by the way side for now. However, it's trickier for you, since she is your MOH and she does need to know that this hurts your feelings. I hope it works out for you and that she understands where you are coming from! Nothing worse than having your MOH be unsupportive, selfish or non-existant in the wedding process. Good Luck!!!

I am sorry this is happening! I would definitely "gently" ask her if there is something else going on and if everything is alright in her world. What I am finding already, is that the friends I thought would be excited for me could care less and don't even ask me anything and we end up talking about their problems, or they are avoiding me all together....It's so weird! I am also pretty much one of the last ones to get married out of all my friends, so you would think they would understand my excitement! So I am glad for this forum and all the ladies, you all can relate in some way!

My FI and I worked together from 2005-2008. We both had significant others at the time but were friends. I actually never thought of him in a romantic way when we worked together, but I did have a boyfriend during that time. In 2008 I moved to and from Houston with my ex (I couldn't take it there). When I came home, I went to visit him in Vail, CO where he was living/working. We started dating that very weekend I visited him. Three years later he proposed to me in Vail!
