I feel so far behind. I didn't have internet at all this past weekend and I had jury duty yesterday!! I hope everyone had a great long weekend! Quick question... my TA is trying to tell me that we have to have our room block in Nizuc, I want Sunrise, as my sister/MOH is bringing her kids. I am sure this is false, though. Should I keep pushing for Sunrise!?

I found out last week that it is 3 days for symbolic too! I have to change my wedding date because of this. However, I am glad I found out now!! Good luck!

I thought that the 3 day rule didn't apply for symbolic either, but it does now. I checked the palace website and had my TA ask the miami office a couple times. We are now in the process of changing our wedding date to a day later because of this! But oh well! It will work out!!

uugghh!!! That's way worse than what I am going through, I am just annoyed with my TA! HA!!! I totally understand, though because we had to have our wedding at that time of year (before it got too hot) because we have tons of teachers in our families as well!!! aaaahhhh!!! I just found out that, yes indeed we need to be there by 12 pm Saturday in order for it to count as 3 days before hand!!! Needless to say, I am pretty angry and so glad that I asked, we won't make it before 12 pm!!! We can't leave on Friday as we are already taking 2 weeks off and my FI isn't getting paid for 1 of those weeks, so we don't want to take more time off, so we now have to change our date!!!!!!!!!!!!!Here's hoping to the 31st!!! HA!

I guess it's time for me to join this thread! I need tons of motivation! But I have no idea where to start. Everytime I work out, I tend to bulk up and gain more weight...So needless to say, I dislike working out, but I have to. Any suggestions on what may be working for you would be great! I agree with both the above comments... You have to remember she is only 16 and still very immature. I feel that since you already offered her the 'junior bridesmaid' position, that, that should be sufficient. You did your part to make nice, now you do what you want, which is not have her in it. If she really wants a dress you can make her an "honorary bridesmaid" and pick out a dress that matches your colors, so it still looks like she is apart of it, but really she'll have nothing to do with it! I personally think that you need to concentrate on you and your FI and do what makes you happy. It puts your FI in a tough spot, but it's not always up to you make things peaceful. I hope this blows over for you very soon!!!!!!

I'm still a 'noob' but, I have always known a destination wedding was the way to go! So, it was a no brainer for me. Both my older brother and sister had destination weddings as well. #1 reason-I get to celebrate with family and friends for a week in Mexico as opposed to one day in Denver. It is going to mean so much to me to be able to actually spend time with my guests. Not to mention the guests will be people that want to be there as opposed to coming out of obligation. Even though we may not be saving a ton of money, the money we are spending will make our wedding more special in Mexico than at home. And it's still cheaper. I never wanted a 200 person wedding. A destination wedding is the perfect way to help eliminate those un-wanted guests (hopefully! HA!!!) We get to get married in Paradise!

This just freaked me out. Our wedding is on a Wednesday and we are arriving the Saturday before. My TA told me as long as we arrive on Saturday they were fine with it, but the palace website says by 12 pm 3 days before....I just asked my TA again to make sure! So hopefully that means you will be ok too!
