We understand people saying they can't go because of it. I have no idea what I am going to do or say. I may just put it as simply as the wedding/reception is Adults only. I am afraid if I don't say anything we will have 25 kids there....But my hope is that people want an adult getaway, but it sounds like most of my friends want to bring their kids.

Congrats!!! I am in the same boat, but getting married a month before you. I haven't even sent out STD's as we had to change our date and are STILL waiting for our wedding contract. I think you are in good shape so far! I am dress shopping next. Feels a little overwhelming, but you will be good!

A. I love that there is a groom to be on here! B. Do you realize there are at least 3 of us Coloradans on the MP's 2012 thread!!! That's very exciting! C. You can get legally married before or after your symbolic ceremony in Meixco. My FI and I are going to the JOP right before we leave for Mexico. It's all preference, some like to do it after so their Mexico wedding feels more real.....It will be easier for us to do it before.

It is pretty comical!!! If I don't, she will literally throw a fit about it! She does so much so now that when it comes to her b-day, etc...my Dad can't stand hearing it anymore and tells us WE HAVE to get her something just so he doesn't have to hear it! I don't feel like dealing with her. We had flowers delivered to her for her b-day last year and a few days later my sibs and I had a fight with her and she told ME to "shove those piddly little flowers me and my siblings got her up my a$$" HAHAHA!!! Nightmare and now you can imagine why I don't have any desire to spend another dime on her, but it's worth it to keep her quiet!!!

ugghh! I would like to know too! I have a step mom whom I can't stand (feelings are mutual for her too), but I will have to get her something, but I don't want it to be sentimental or heart felt!!!

Hi Ladies! Hope you all had a great weekend! My TA did the same thing with our booking. We chose the $50 down and pay the rest 75 days before we leave. That is because she is working with a wholesaler, although she gave us the 2 night booking option directly through Palace resorts too... I completely agree, like everyone else, my biggest concern is getting our locations booked before then. In my room contract it said I would get a WC 30 days before, not 90, so I am very concerned now. I just want to get locations booked to relieve that stress. How did people get their locations booked before the 90 days?

I have found some similar threads, but it still didn't help too much with how to word our website and/or invitations. Here's my dilemma and I am sure I am going to get flack for this, but here it goes... I am pretty much the last one of my friends to get married, therefore almost everyone single one of my friends has 1-3 kids already (not including our extended families, i.e. cousin's kids, etc...). I have 2 nephews and 1 niece and FI has 1 niece. We really want them at our wedding so, that is why we chose a "Family Friendly" resort. Obviously, this would not be an issue had we just chosen an Adult Only resort. As we were going through our guest list, if everyone came that we invited and brought their kids, there would be 25+ kids there (NO JOKE) that's extended family and our friends. As most of you know, you usually have to pay per head or table or whatever and it's not cheap. First off, we don't think we can afford to have 25 extra people there, even if they are kids, granted I know they are not as expensive in some cases, but still...2nd....We do not necessarily want 25 kids to come to our wedding, that would almost outnumber the adults! It's sounds ridiculous and I know we should just pay the consequences of having it at a family friendly resort, but my plan was to put somewhere on our website and our invitations that the wedding is adults only. I do not have a problem with children and love my nieces and nephews hence the family friendly resort and couldn't imagine not having them there, but I never pictured my wedding with sooooo many kids there. Even with the people that i think are "for sures", there would still be 15 kids there..... I have told some people that we aren't having kids except immediate family, and of course they are saying I'm not coming or I wouldn't bring them anyways. But others are saying what a great family trip it's going to be....I feel terrible to an extent, but they all had adults only (destination and home weddings) I know, I am going to get a lot "well, we are not going" but it is what it is. My FI, especially is pretty set/stern on not having any other kids there. So, I want to phrase it as graciously/nicely as possible.....But I know it's pretty tricky! Please Help!! That's very exciting. You came to the right place. Unfortunately, it varies so much from resort to resort on the cost. All inclusive doesn't mean "free" wedding. I would recommend looking at resorts and locations first and then figure out if it's something you can afford. So, good luck with everything!!!

Obviously I haven't been married there in June, but I have visited Cancun/Playa in June and I personally got chomped on ALL week!!! But my FI never did....So from my personal experience they are there and ready!

I asked my TA while I was looking at where I wanted to get married and she said Beach Palace hands down.

We are going with Fuchsia and Orange! I am already ready getting weird looks, but I don't care, I think they will look awesome with the blue sky and ocean behind us!!! This way I get to 'joke' with people and tell them that the GM will be in bright orange shirts with a bright pink tie!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Or better yet, tell them the GM will be in a dumb and dumber orange tux!!!
