Hi Ladies! I bought my dress this past weekend! It's a popular one, but for good reason! I love it and can't wait to wear it in May. Can you tell I am just a little excited about it!?? HA!!! It's Sottero-Midgley -Adorae. I lucked out and tried it on during a trunk show, so I got a discount on it!!! Even better!!!

Oh ya!!! I bought my dress this weekend! YAY I love it! It's beautiful, but very popular. I got Sottero Midgley - Adorae at the trunk show. I just love it and now I understand why so many other brides do too!!!

Wow, not getting on all weekend so much to catch up on!!! YAY!! on your invites, so fun!!!! Can't wait to see them! I honestly, think I am going to wear jeans, etc... and try to make it as informal as possible to May 31st really feels like the real day!!! But I keep going back and forth.... Congrats!!! This thread is super old, but the ideas here are good! My FI and I both lost our mom's a year and a half ago (within 2 months of each other). We both want to do something to 'honor' them! I think we decided to save a chair for both of them and put a rose on those chairs. As well as put a picture of them on a table at our reception. My step mom is going to have a fit, but I don't care!!! Also, I may do a bouquet and/or bouti. charm with their pix in it?.... I think my FI and my FFIL would really like that.

My friend just got married and her engagement ring was actually her wedding band. Her husband couldn't afford a "real" engagement ring. So, they just used her engagement/wedding band again on their wedding day. I don't see any problems just using your engagement ring!!

I would definitely be done with her! Not worth your precious time anymore! She sound like a nightmare, and it is so hard to be calm and collective with someone like that. It's almost like they do it on purpose to get your blood boiling and then blame the situation on you, after you have hit your limit! You will be so much happier for now, if you just let her go Sounds to me like she need to learn empathy and to watch her words very carefully! Good luck!!!

I have been in 10 weddings, and I would never act like that! Like the ladies said, chose a couple and see what happens. If they still want to fight about it or be sensitive about it, then you can pick for all of them However, it sounds like they started to calm down!!! Which is good for you, most of all!!!

YIKES!!! This totally reminds me of an ex-friend, hence the "ex". She is exactly the same way. Not going to go into specifics, but it almost sounds like they may be the same person! HA! very selfish and self involved and a little evil when you call them out or try to talk to them. Needless to say, I had to let her go, she just wasn't worth the frustration and hurt anymore. Which is too bad, because we really did have a great time together when things were good. i really hope you are able to work it out, but there is no shame in letting it go. People change and that's ok! If that happens wish her well and move on. I was so much happier when I did~!!

We decided before we even got engaged that we would get married here in Denver first to make it easier and a little cheaper. We aren't telling anyone, except my sister found out, but that's it!! I believe there are a few ladies on here that changed their ceremony to symbolic when they originally had civil. I don't believe it's too hard to do.

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about you, but I could use a drink or two! Coconoir1908-I hope your day is getting better for you! Bosses Rock!!! I had an issue with mine a little earlier! Thank god he lives in Pittsburgh and I am here in Denver! WOOT! I am also very excited for the weekend as tomorrow I am going dress shopping for the 1st time! YAY!!!!! I also just found out that one of the salons I am going to, is having a Maggie Sottero Trunk show! That was not the case when I made my reservation! So I am even more excited!!!!!!! My sisters (whom are my MOH's) don't find that as exciting, but maybe you girls will??? I am a little nervous, though. Anyone feel anxiety about going wedding dress shopping? I feel that's a weird emotion to have along with excitement!!! I love the emoticons!!! Just felt like using as many as I could in this post! cheers!

I, of course will share with you anything I find out! I actually contacted MVP and was ready to book but then my date had to change. Her prices are going up Oct. 1st. So I have to decide pronto if I want to use her. But between her pricing and day passes, it's so expensive, but another part of me thinks, it's my wedding and I should just do it! FI, feels very differently! HA!!! I will take some time today to contact some others and get their pricing. I will definitely keep you posted. I seriously don't know what to do????? Last time I had my hair and make-up done, the bride told me I had the cutest pumpkin face!!! umm...that's not what I am going for, so it's dire that I have someone do my hair and make-up that won't make me look like at fat hag!!! HA~!!!!! I will keep you posted!!!

ps...I got so excited about your invites, I forgot to include this....I did post in the 2011 MP thread, but did not in the 2010. Will do that shortly!! I totally don't want my hair and make-up botched!!! It's happened too many times for the weddings I am have only been a BM for.
