I agree with Coco! If you are feeling unsettled about the 2nd dress, you may want to continue looking. You want to be certain about your dress, it's all the difference in the world of how you feel! The dress looks fabulous on you, but if it isn't right for you, keep looking! Once I tried on my dress, I knew it was "The One" and I was forcing myself to try on the other dresses in the room since that was going to be the only and last time for me to try on wedding dresses.

Yes, I ordered my dress in September and they said it won't be here until February. So it sounds normal to me....

I am sure she is just stressed. It also sounds like she wants control of the all the planning (which is what she does in her everyday life). From what I am realizing a lot of brides to be have a hard time letting go of the reins. I would just talk to her when she has calmed down and just let her know you are only trying to help, but if she doesn't need or want it, you will do what you can to respect that. I am sure she wants and appreciates your help, but she wants the control. So, next time you do research, etc... just let her know what you found, so she can be the 1st person to relay it to your guests. Good luck!!!

Hello Ladies (and gent) Hope you all had a great weekend! I am super excited for the short week and of course Thanksgiving. We are hosting, so it is going to be a lot of fun and a lot of work! Thankfully FI wants to make the turkeys! We are doing one in the oven and one fried! YUM-O!!!! I also wanted to thank all you ladies that complimented on my new profile pic! Out invites are in!! They're not DIY, but it took me a LONG time to find someone local who could make it exactly the way I wanted it.  I like the informality of the boarding pass invites, but I still wanted to look very classy like a formal invitation.  Our colours are champange and burgandy. =) I had issues with people trying to invite other people we barely knew, so our invite lady advised us to put in "Name of Guest" (singular) on the RSVP card!

ooohhh!!! This makes me sad for you! Your sister doesn't sound like much of a sister at all! So terrible when your own family tries to "one up"and hurt you purposely! I know I would be so upset and would want to act out on her, and tell her what she is doing is selfish and spiteful! But....the above ladies are right! You (unfortunately) have to be the bigger person. I would try to calmly talk to her about it, (if you can) but it sounds like it may fall on deaf ears anyways! But in the end, you will be the one with all the class. People know you got engaged first and I promise people will remember that. They will think to themselves that what your sister is doing is not right. Let your sister make a fool out of herself! Like coco said, pictures would help us, help you! I was lucky in the fact that I saw the dress I wanted online, was so nervous to try it on because I loved it so much, tried it on and it low and behold it was MY dress! I couldn't have been happier. But....I wouldn't have ordered it without trying it on! Who is the designer and the what are the dresses. I would love to look up what you are deciding between!
