I burn so easily, so I have to tan a bit before we go and get a nice base tan. The rest of the trip I'll likely use SPF 50! lol

Seriously! I didnt even think about this... and I FRY in the sun! So makeup with SPF is the best route to go?

My fiance found really nice khaki pants and linen shirt for the ceremony. Going through bridal magazines & websites, I havent seen one picture of a bride & groom where the groom is wearing a short sleeved shirt. Is a short sleeved shirt tacky or does it just look really bad in pictures or something?

LoL So have you decided if you're going to use the Resort Photographer or bring your own? Were going to use the Resort photographer and hope for the best. Hi, I'm looking to see if there were questions or issues that your guests had that you hadn't anticipated? I'm sure we've all been over the Sandals website a zillion times so we know a lot about what is available, but was there anything that you wish you had told your guests beforehand--whether in a welcome letter or even an email? Things, perhaps, that seem obvious to us as planners? Also anything else that wasn't anticipated would be great! Good or bad!

I love this forum... I wouldnt have thought about this till the day before or even the day of my wedding. I hardly ever paint my nails... gotta add this to the list of decisions! lol

Ok, Crest Whitening at 30 day mark sounds reasonable. Im getting married November 11th - resort is booked, all but my mom has received their Passports, date & time confirmed, airfare purchased & recently confirmed,.. Im a lucky bride, my awesome fiance has been handling all of the arrangements. Now Im working on welcome books for the welcome bags, Jamaica survival kits, & raffia fans for the ceremony. We have almost everything purchased for the welcome bags, but we have a major hang up deciding on our wedding favors that will be on the tables at the reception dinner. Im freaking at this point not having everything ordered thats needed! Were really not adding anything as far as decor to the ceremony or dinner... just going with the Bridal Beginnings package and adding some of their a la carte options (ie. star lighting). But should I add some personal touches? Were bringing our own cake topper.... thats about it. Were having a civil ceremony. And after reading some posts on here, Im thinking I need to get moving on writing my own vows. I have no clue on where to even start writing my own vows!

We have 16 total as well... majority of his family. I wish I didnt have any regrets, but I do regret not elolping. The money alone saved from the expense of invitations could have been used on an excursion for us. Call that selfish, and no doubt my invitations were gorgeous, but what a waste!!! Ugh. I'm with you, no tears... it's YOUR day!

Wow, nice! Thank you for all the info! If you dont mind me asking, how many guests did you have? Did youn choose one of the Martha Stewart wedding themes? Were up in the air right now about which extras to choose... is there anything you chose & loved, or chose & disliked/could have done without?

Honestly, I wish I would have just eloped. If I would have known the disappointment Id be feeling I would have NEVER sent over 100+ invites. All I can help to think now is, "oh well"!!! And this just really does go to show is that all people care about with a wedding is the party afterwards. Its not all just my opinion any more... unfortunately, my friends & family verify this daily for me. I feel your pain!
