Hello fellow BDW brides (and grooms)! I am bringing down my own photographer from Canada to Cancun and I have seen some beautiful Cenote pictures and beach pictures on here that we would like to create our very own! I had a few questions that maybe you all can help me with. If we wanted to do Cenote pictures, WHERE would be the best place to go and how much would it cost? Someone told me that we had to be prepared to pay anywhere from $400-$500 is we are doing bride and groom pics! Yikes! Should I hide my dress when I do in and slip it on once I'm in to make is less? Any help would be great. Also we will be staying at the Gran Caribe Real Cancun resort so where would be the best place to go from there for Cenote pics? They have a nice beach so we just might do it there... but would really love to do some cenote shots but don't know if we would want to pay a few bills just to do that! I hope you guys can help us out! We just want some cool TTD pictures! Thanks )

Out of curiousity Gonzalo, what is the fee to use the Cenote for a photo session? Would love to do something like this with my photographer....

This is great to know! Do you have more pictures of the cenote so I can get an idea of how big the place is and an idea of what my photographer will be working with?

I saw that. I know Photobook Canada had a deal not too long ago. I heard their products are really good. My friend who makes invitations recommended that we do that with our pictures and make a coffee table book with their deals since they are such good quality. Maybe Google reviews about Picaboo?

That's what I was thinking as well clarissalu3. I wanted to go with just the free wedding and then add on as we might have anywhere from 30 to 35 guests coming with us. I'm not sure what the cost difference would be. Like I can skip out on the bouquet (I am planning on using someting else), my FI doesn't want a boutinierre, don't really care too much for a mani-pedi with the resort and I have friends who are makeup artists and hairstylists. The massages would be nice, a cake and a private reception are my main things that we want for the wedding. I really want to get this clarified as I am not really getting much from the website...

I have a question about the wedding packages. Looking to do the complimentary wedding package, since we would apply and then have some add ons like the brides bouquet, cake and a private wedding reception. Anyone know how that would work and what the cost would be?? I am trying to figure it out on the website but I don't think certain things are working :-S Also, if we are doing a symbolic ceremony, do you have to pay for an officiant? I hope someone can help clear up things for me...

I too am planning our 2013 wedding at the Gran Caribe!!! So excited! Still in the beginning stages...but we did get quotes on the rates for the hotel and we are very close to finalizing that part!

Yea i am looking at the Gran Caribe Real Cancun. We are the same...we set a budget and told our guests it would not cost more than $1500. And the Gran Caribe seems to be under budget from what I've seen so far. Where did you decide to go?

Can someone speak to their wedding packages? I'd like to get an idea about that... I was slightly confused by their website :-S I'm either slow or my english isn't very good lol

Hello fellow Canadian brides! I am wondering if there are any previous Azul Sensatori or soon to be AS brides in the house? This is one of the resorts I am looking into for our wedding next year in April. I wanted to get an idea of pricing for my guests. I am hoping that it won't be more than $1500 for this resort. Also I wanted to know thoughts on the wedding package(s) with this resort. If you could let me know, and any reviews you might have of the resort, I would love to know. I appreciate your help in advance ladies!

I also wanted to know from any past brides... how was the English spoken by the officiant? Was it understandble? We recently went to a friends wedding in Dominican, and we could not understand a single word. Stuff like that can make or break the feel and emotion of the ceremony so it's something important to us.

Wow! That's great! And you are planning to leave around the same time as we are. I should look into those prices as well with WestJet. If that is the rate from Vancouver...I wonder what it would be for Toronto coz it's usually cheaper from here compared to from our West.

How are you finding the communication with the resort so far? Are you doing a package or just sticking with the complimentary? Just based on what I've seen so far, I think we might just stick with the complimentary and then just do the a la carte for maybe my bouquet, cake and a private reception...

Gran Caribe and Gran Porto Real for me plz

I will have to check this resort out. Our travel agent suggested this resort. I hope we make the right choice as we are back to square one from falling in love with another resort that was out of our budget for the guests
