Can anyone speak to how the Final Payment works? I got a notice from Elsa Torres that my final payment was due but I don't even know what that final payment looks like! She hasn't got back to me either so getting worried. We are getting close to the finish line and I don't know what the payment is

Hi ladies, I have a wardrobe question. I have a white dress that is cotton. It's got a really low back on it so I can't just wear a bra. The other problem is that I can't wear just bra and panties because it's kinda see through! So I would have to wear something nude. But then you can see the lines coz it's a tight dress! Lol... I really want to wear it coz it looks good but need appropriate undergarments. Anyone have suggestions as to what to use? I was looking around for shaping slips but I couldn't find one that would work with the low back on the dress. Oh and I'm slim so I'm not looking to suck in anything if you know what I mean. Just want the dress to look smooth once on me. Please ad thanks ladies!

I'm using a videographer and we are paying 2800 plus the vendor fee. But we wanted to since some of our family are unable to come down. They said they will help to pay for it so we are hoping we don't have to pay much for that. This amount does not include the vendor fee. We are using Cancun Wedding Videos for our videography. Great communication with Mike Canterell so can't complain.

I deal with Elsa and it's hit or miss in terms of communicating with her. I found that she was really good at getting back to me at the beginning and then we hit a few bumps on the road where I was doing negotiations and she wouldn't budge. I finally got things my way. And as for paying for friends who will be doing your photography, I would argue on that one especially if they are staying with you for the week. If they are staying for a few days then I can understand that, but my friend who is doing photography is staying the whole week and I thought it was ridiculous to pay an outside vendor fee when they are a Real guest. I don't care about the discount they give you on that vendor fee. I ain't paying it when he's my guest!! That's stupid and I made sure they didn't charge me for that. I am printing a copy of that agreement we made in writing and will have it there if they give me any problems with that. Honestly, I make a big stink about things because some of the things they charge you for are outrageous. Stand your ground and if it means so much to you, don't take No for an answer ladies! I actually spoke with Elsa on the phone and she answered all questions I had and I told her to please send it again to me in writing. If you really need an answer and she doesn't get back to youin a couple of days, maybe it's worth a shot to call her up. She seems nice on the phone. I'm sure she gets busy during this time of the year coz there's more weddings. I have to stop and think to give her a break when that happens. But if I don't hear back in a week, I get on her over the phone. Hope that helps. Can't wait to hear all about your weddings for those January brides. I'm getting more and more excited!

Elsa is my WC too! Didn't know she was on vacation. Would've been nice if she let me know considering I have been waiting for her to get back to me.

I have a quick question that I wanted to confirm. The vendor fee of $350...it's not per person right? It's per vendor correct? For instance, my videographer is bringing 2 assistants so I would pay $350 for all three of them rather than $350 each of them right?

We don't plan to get a DJ since we are only allowed to be there for a limited time. If we could stay till 1am or something I'd be all over that. We are planning to use this app called Wedding App that Dj's for you. We just need to make our playlist and then it sections it off and fades in and out as required. Google it. It's pretty neat. Rather save the money and do that and then head over to Coco Bongo or something after....

Awww I'm sorry to hear that. That would be hard especially since it's your brother! Well it will all work out in the end. We still don't regret our decision to get married away. We keep reminding ourselves that the most important thing is that we are both there and that it is essentially OUR day...the people that make it are just the icing on the cake. Roll with the punches and have a great wedding. It really is about the two of you anyways. I know it's hard that the people you really want there can't be there, but again, your man is there for you

We plan to go with the crab stuffed avocado for starters and then do the beef filet and shrimp jambalaya, with a Indian vegetarian optoins for some of my family. And do the Cannoli trio for dessert. Are you planning to have your guests stay at the Gran Caribe side of the resort while you and fiance stay at the Royal side? I have to pay $350 for my videographer to come to the resort to film the wedding. They wanted to charge my photographer who is our guest for the week and thought that was ridiculous when he is staying there as a guest!!! I managed to get them to waive that.

cufflinks would be nice but we aren't doing suits since it's a beach wedding. I some cool ones but meh... Yes the girls are carrying the purses down the aisle. I was thinking to just get him some kind of boutinierre but that wouldn't be his gift. I dunno about the shaving bag...he does travel alot and I'm sure he has one already. Good ideas, but I don't know how I feel about those for him specifically.

So I had some bad news and some good news over the weekend I wanted to share, and then I wanted some help from you guys. Bad News: - My Matron of Honor and my all time best friend got pregnant a few months ago and won't be able to travel to my wedding. She is like my sister and I was devastated to find out she could not make it to my wedding. She lives in Dubai so I can't really spend time with her before hand so poopy! She will be in her 40th week of pregnancy the week of my wedding so it definitely was not going to happen. However, I was hoping my other long time best friend who also lives in Dubai was going to make it to the wedding to make up for my MOH. Bad News 2: This weekend, my other long time friend just told me the news that she won't make it either. She works as a flight attendant and she could not get the time off for my wedding through the airline she works for! I knew there was a 50/50 chance she would make it, but I was hopeful that it would all work out. Unfortunately it didn't and now my second MOH is out of the picture. Reall bummed but with these things, it's all out of my control. Expected with destination weddings. Good news! My Matron of Honor will be coming to Canada to celebrate the bridal shower festivities in February which I am glad about because I get to spend quality time with her and we can do some wedding projects together. And finally, I couldn't choose any of the other girls in my bridal party to be my MOH because I just didn't feel right about it. Don't get me wrong, they are all fabulous girls and I love them, but I feel like I couldn't replace my original MOH since I had known her for a long long time (since we were 2!). MY next best alternative, was my other best friend whom I have known for almost 16 years...thing is- he is a guy! So I asked him if he would do me the honour of being my "Man of Honor" and he said YES! As if everything else about our wedding couldn't get any more untraditional and unique! So now...I don't know what to gift his as my ManOH gift! I got flower purses for the girls instead of bouquets, and I also got them girlie wineglasses and made them shirts for getting ready that say "Bridesmaids" on them. I was thinking of getting him a personalized shot glass and maybe a shirt....but is there anything else unique and different out there that I can get for him that you ladies can think of? Let me know! Phew! It's been an emotional rollercoaster thus far....but I am confident everything will work out and be amazing on the day of the wedding!

I'm getting married on April 23rd! We are doing a 4pm ceremony. Planning is coming along nicely.. We even coordinated an Indian Vegetarian menu to the mix which is awesome for my dad's side of the family who have diet restrictions. So it's great. Communication can be rough, but eventually it all turns out in your favour! We just have to finish off making out invites and send them out. And then the other thing we need to get done is our wedding favours and our cake topper. Other than that, we are all set to go! How is your planning going? See you at the resort next year!

Hey Kaitlyn, I had seen a bride recently in one of the forums who had her wedding and had about 100 people come to her wedding. She didn't report any complaints about it...just a slow check it and maybe some complaints of where people were roomed. That's waaaay more people than what you have though.... they should be able to accomodate. We have about 30 people attending ours...

I checked out the quote and it comes to about $172 for what I need. I'm worried though, that I will have to pay taxes for it to come to me in Canada from the US. I'm not ready to pay for a surprise!
