We are getting married in 2014 and doing a Destination Wedding. The reason why we are waiting so long is coz we just bought a house and are moving in 2012. So we are doing a legal ceremony wedding for technicality or as a formality since we are getting the house together. But we have to wait til 2014 coz of that and my FIs best friend is also doing a DW as well in 2013. We don't mind waiting till 2014 coz we will financially be ready for it then. It does suck a little coz I love the planning of it and have so many ideas. But it would be too much with a house to do a wedding at the same time. We are only having our parents come and our best friends, but most people understand why we are doing it. We want people to know that our 2014 wedding is a big deal as all our friends and family will be there. So I don't think it's a waste of time. I've been a bridesmaid so many times, I deserve a nice big wedding too! lol

Thanks ladies. See I am thinking the same as you danielle jan2012. I was telling my fiance that if we give it a few days before, people might not bring it with them and what would be the point in that. And as everyone mentioned, it's a nice little something to give our guests. I was thinking to carry it with us to the airport and give it to our guests before they board. Hopefully we won't have too much stuff that we could carry it in a duffle bag or some sort, or have our parents carry it with them. Can you tell we are a bit confused!? lol

Hello Everyone, My fiance and I were discussing when we were going to give our OOT bags to our guests. We are thinking we are going to have 30 to 40 people attending our wedding. To give you an idea, we wanted to get beach bags per family/couple/single person with a towel per person and a bath bomb per bag and a personal note from us. Simple. The question we have is Did you give your OOT bags a few days before you left to your destination? OR My idea was to bring them with us at the airport and before everyone checks in with their luggage, hand it to them. Did you do that? OR Did you pack it all (not too keen on this one coz I don't want to pack a lot of stuff) and give to them once you were at the destination? I would love to hear what you all did or are planning to do as I'm not quite sure myself! Thanks everyone.

Hello to all the past, present and future Beach Palace brides!!! I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on the decor you would be going with for your weddings at the Beach Palace. My fiance and I plan to have our wedding at this resort. We noticed that there was a complimentary package as well as the set packages for a cost. So from you past Beach Palace brides, I wanted to see which you selected and how you worked with it, and if there was any room for customization. I'm sure there are many other brides who would be interested. From the future Beach Palace brides, let's hear your thoughts and ideas! Our wedding colours are going to be red and yellow so we were either going to go with the Amber or Ruby package provided there will be a bit of customization to combine both colours.... Hello everyone! Just signed up to BDW and am so excited to hear from all of you. Still have a long ways to go since we plan to get married in 2014. But there is a lot of decisions to make! All I know is we want to have it in Mexico... looking very closely at Cabo coz I loved it when I went there. Any advice, tips, suggestions are welcome!!! I know I want to find a travel agent to help me get an idea about pricing. Looking to do it in April or May as well... hopefully the weather will be good and no hurricanes will hit :s Love to hear from you all! I love Cabo and Im hoping that my fiance and I can do it here. We are having a long engagement (2014). so hopefully they work out their kinks by then at this resort!

We are planning on having our wedding in 2014! I know it's a long ways away but some of my friends who have had destination weddings and I are having a discussion on whether right now is too early to send out STD's to our guests. On one hand I think no because have some friends who we want knowing that we will have our wedding 2014 and it will be a destination. And then on the other hand, we don't even know which month, where and all the more important details for that. So for now, my fiance and I are undecided...

I know all of you are probably gonna laugh at me coz we are planning to get hitched in 2014! But I'm recently engaged and my fiance and I knew right from the beginning that we wanted to have a stress free wedding and destination weddings was the route for us. It's a little premature I think to be looking into wedding planning right now, but I don't know how you upcoming brides decide!?! There are so many beautiful resorts and places that we don't even know where to begin!!!! So far we've fallen in love with Mexico and Jamaica but not sure which to choose. I know what price I want our guests to pay to travel, just figuring out the location is quite difficult. The food and beach is really important for us as well! It's hard finding out prices and the date we want to have the wedding (although we know we want it probably in first few months of 2014) with all those in mind and we haven't had much luck with a TA who would be willing to give us prices and ideas at this point in time. So here I am! Reaching out to all you lovely BDW-ers! lol. HELP!!!! ) I would love to hear from all of you! Teach me the ways wise ones! hahaha
