  4. Hi! From what i understand the drinks are included, and you can also choose a signature drink for the cocktail hour and another for the reception...
  5. Vdfellers... you said your fiance had a chance to go see the resort... i am booked for the bamboo ballroom but am thinking maybe i should have it outside..its so hard when you have not been there to decide!!! What i was wondering is about the size of the terrace? is it big enough to have more than 50? from pictures it seems narrow, so i just wasnt sure... any info would be appreciated!!!!
  6. Hello Dawnliana! I am also getting married at the Now Jade, in November 2012! I have just started the process, so unfortunately i dont have any answers for you, but would be interested in hearing what others have to say!!! Eek i dont like hearing that there is alot of extra costs! I did know ahead of time of the additional costs per person, and i agree its alot for an all inclusive... but they will get you anyway they can:) Is there anywhere else you are finding hidden costs? Cant wait to hear what other Now Jade brides have to say!!!
  7. I Love so many of the bouquets!!! I have not put much thought into the flowers, but now that i see so many beautiful options.. i may have to think about what i want a little more!!!
  8. Thanks for the advice, i would have never thought of bringing reciepts..
  9. Aww im so sorry that you are going through this:) Remember this is your day and you really have to do what you want.. as hard as that is. I went to a destination wedding a few years ago, and both the bride and the grooms parents were NOT into the idea of going away to get married. For them it was more that it wasn't traditional, not financial reasons, so its a little different... but once we got there their minds were instantly changed. Actually the grooms parents seemed to be enjoying it more than anyone! After we got back i remember the bride saying to me that she was so glad that she followed her heart, as it was her dream wedding, and it all worked out in the end!! She has reminded me of this as we started to plan our wedding, and its helped me to know i am doing the right thing for us!!! Hope it all works out!
  10. Congrats! Honestly choosing the location is the hardest part!!! But also the fun part, as after you decide, it feels like you are just waiting to do anything else! So enjot this part of it, its the only time you have alot of control:) We decided on The Mayan Riviera in mexico... we found that they were the best prices for what you are getting! I dont think you can go wrong with the mayan riviera!!! Happy Planning
  11. Hello Ladies! I have read alot of reviews and received alot of imformation on BDW, and decided it was finally time to join and get some help!! I have just started the process of booking my Novemeber 2012 wedding at the Now Jade resort!! We love it and definately think it was the right pick for us... however i am having a hard time choosing the reception/dinner location as i have not actually been to this resort and from the pictures it is hard to tell what you are getting.. We will have around 50 people and i would like something private... I would soo appreciate any feedback from previous Now Jade brides to help make this decision easier.... Thanks
