I LOVE the lanterns!!!! I saw them in the movie Tangled and fell in love with the idea!! lol oh the things you learn from disney movies:) Does anyone know if there are any restrictions to using these? I guess it must be decided by the resort, but just wondering if anyone has actually used them in mexico? As i was looking for them i came across a youtube video on lanterns gone wrong... lol has me a little worried

jmastr05 - thanks for the suggestion! We have been going back and forth between a symbolic and legal ceremony, and i think we have finally decided to get legally married at home first..mostly just to save the hassle of getting married in mexico (the idea of bloodwork in mexico kinda freaks me out:) I think we may just have my nana (who wont be able to attend the wedding) and my parents (as my inlaws are 10 hrs away) no dress or exchanging rings as i still want my DW to be my actually wedding day(in our hearts) but to have that moment with my nana i think she will love. In terms of telling people i think we will tell a few close people but otherwise keep it to ourselves as i dont want anyone to feel cheated, or that they are spending money when we are already married. Peach- i am so sorry that you couldnt do it this way, if you feel it would be meaningful to you. I totally get the church thing! Good for you for doing a DW in the first place and doing what you want:)

Does anyone know where i can get a custom made garter? preferably in canada??? My FI is from saskatchewan, and is a BIG Roughriders fan, and i thought it would be a perfect surprise to have a Roughriders Garter:) Any suggestions would be great!

We choose a Destination Wedding, because when else do you get to go on holidays with your family, in-laws and close friends!!! I have been to a few DW and found that it created a really strong support group around the bride and groom because the special people in their lives had a chance to really form relationships!!! I love it, and cant wait for mine!!!!

Love the Bubba Kegs... not sure if it was mentioned on here, but i saw somewhere someone mentioned they used the bubba keg itself to fill with the rest of the oot bag stuff... saves having to actually buy a bag!! Thought it was a great way to save a little extra and i will look fuller... less stuff to buy, always a plus:)
