Hello everyone! I signed up for this site a few weeks ago, but didn't have a chance to post anything. We just got engaged last night but have been planning a destination wedding for a few months!! I contacted a BDW TA a couple days ago to try and figure out the best place to go. Currently we are looking at the Dominican Republic for September 2012. I'm so happy that I found this forum, there are so many wonderful ideas especially on the planning threads! Hopefully I'll be able to help share some good info with everyone later down the road.

I found a local travel agent and explained that I was thinking about a destination wedding next year. She gave me about 6 different brochures packed with lots of information. It is a bit overwhelming but it can at least show you some of the resorts in the different areas. Good luck on your search!
