Hi I fell in love with the bright coloured garters on Naked Orchid Garters on Etsy (see first pic $60 for both but the seller was keen on negotiating for only 1 also at a lower price around $25 for the smaller). Hi I'm so happy I found this thread! I knew we had to pick a first dance and walking down the aisle, but had no idea about how many other songs we needed to pick!! My instant top faves are "Lucky" by Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat and "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. I love the lyrics and they both sound so beachy! It's been a while since I was on BDW and have finally caught up on the DLR thread! We are booked for DLR Oct 27-3rd with the private beach gazebo wedding onthe 29th! We are doing the Pier cocktail hour and still deciding on the reception resturant and welcome dinner. Flights are booked from 3 different countries (what a headache!). Did anyone else from Canada have to deal with an overnight in Montreal or Toronto???? Happy planning to all the other DLR brides! Vancouver Bride

Hello I have attached our Save the Date post-card. We didn't' do "formal" invites because it was extra costs, more work, and more dead trees. The post cards were ordered online from Pear Tree Greetings. I ordered 56 cards for $60 USD (price includes shipping). I was very happy with the quality of cardstock and pictures. I decided to use this site over others such as Wedding Paper Divas because it allowed me to customize more font colours to match the scarf than other webpages. Searching for advice on our wedding reception resturant??! We are getting married at DLR at the private beach gazebo, and cocktail hour at the Sea side grill pier/deck. We are choosing our wedding reception for about 40 people resturant now and are having a difficult time narrowing it down. We aren't having a DJ or dance floor, but are going out to one of the clubs after dinner so dance space doesn't matter. Our options are outdoor, outdoor/partially covered, and airconditioned indoors. We are worried that our guests will be hot and tired after an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, but at the same time we want to enjoy the ocean view and sunset. Outdoor resturants are also "easier" to decorate. A significant portion of our guests are 50+ years and need to be comfortable and able to hear. Any advice from other brides, especially those that have had weddings at DLR in the past would be helpful! Thanks!

Our wedding planner here in Vancouver has been keeping track of our overall budget,but the quotes she got from us for the resorts took about a week to get and were valid for about 2-3 weeks. BM dresses are coral and I am trying to decide on another accent wedding colour (not turquoise because the water is already that colour) Any suggestion or beter yet-pictures of your weddings with coral in them? 2. We are trying to decide on resturants for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Any ideas? If the wedding is outside, do you think an outdoor dinner is too much? 3. How many other brides are registering for gifts? We are going with the "your presence is your gift" idea so far, but like the idea of a honeymoon registry for those not attending or people who want to bring a gift anyway.

Any thoughts or advice on which room/building block my fiance and I should choose? Is it really worth the extra cost for the Preferred Club and will the Preferred Club seperate us from our guests? It was a very close call, but we decided on Dreams La Romana for Nov 2012!!!!!!! I am confident that we would be happy at either Dreams, but we chose this one because of the more private beach, smaller resort, and "island feel" our planner told us about. Hello ladies! We are trying to decide between Dreams PC and Dreams LR for fall/winter 2012. We like the more private beach location at DLR, but not the 2 hour van ride to the airport.
